Well priced apartments. The pool is really big. Nice place. The apartment was old furnished, needs refurbishment. Especially kitchen. The doors on kitchen furniture were falling apart. No water in the sink. Rather noisy neighbours.

Large, nice pool with a bar, but there is very little sun pool lounge chairs. Because of this, there is competition between residents. Some take seats from six in the morning so as not to be left without a place.

You have to realize that each individual unit there is owned and rented out separately so if you get somebody that's a slum Lord you may get a rough place a lot of the places are very nice to management is very stripped and tries to keep the places clean as a possibly can and I see the pool is being totally renovated now

This scandal-plagued complex/hotel is among the worst on the north coast in terms of scandals, drama, and ripping its residents and guests off. The good: a great pool and some great people. The bad: awful location, far from the beach on a creepy, unsafe road that floods in heavy rain. Awful ditch at the entrance to the parking lot that can take out a transmission. -lying, unscrupulous, and deceptive management constantly trying to cheat owners and tenants. Misrepresent, change, and lie about prices frequently, then later change them to much more than what first agreed on. They have screwed over multiple people -lie about services provided to owners, then reduce them while increasing monthly fees. Often refuse to honor contracts, such as not providing a parking space despite contract, lying about providing a service they don't actually provide, etc. -inconsiderate policy changes and actions, like loud maintenance noises unnecessarily early on weekends on many weekends -Large common areas unavailable for residents to use due to legal issues between owner and private citizens -many worse things involving years of scandals and mistreatment of tenants, owners, and staff. In short, one of the worst places on the North Coast. There are SO many great places and people in this area that there is absolutely no reason to patronize such an awful business run by such awful people. Avoid this place like the toxin it is.

This place is cute and conveniently located if you want to explore both Cabarete and Sosua. The apartments have a nice view but pretty basic. The pool is grand and well kept. The vibe was pretty womp though. This place would be great for a family trip or solo work trip. Not really for mingling as it’s more on the quiet. Like the perfect in-between of a residential and a resort.

I have been staying at Monte Vista Club in Sosua, Dominican Republic every winter since 2010. The pool is amazing and the staff is outstanding. The resort has a restaurant and bar and there is another bar in the middle of the pool and the pool is huge, over 1 million gallons of water. The rooms were renovated in 2019 and are beautiful There is a gym, shuttle service and full maid and laundry service. The best part is the affordability. You will love it here. They take Covid very seriously and sanitize everything!

Overall, a good experience. There is a very beautiful pool with lots of space to swim and quite often if not occupied. My particular condominium have air conditioning in the bedroom but not the living room, so I would suggest getting an apartment with air conditioning in the living room because it does get humid.

first of all would like to begin with saying the staff and grounds people, and pool guy keep this place really nice, and all very good. The outfit we rented through...nightmare to deal with. First week no light in bathroom, had to use a flashlight, which thank goodness we brought one. Took her over a week to respond to our request for a light, as it was not a normal lightbulb to install. When we first walked in after having had an accident at the airport I did not need to walk in to such shabby quarters. The cupboards were hanging off, and crooked, (which we fixed), The cookware like was something from a camp kitchen, only three burners on stove top worked. The sink barely any pressure for water, hot was minimal. Shower was horrible, barely anywhere to stand in, ( and we are small) big gaping hole on side where I assume a wall should be, water pressure, barely a trickle. Bedroom was sketchy. Found condom wrappers under the bed, in closet and under couch, so never sat on it! so housekeeping is remiss. The pool is beautiful, and well maintained by pool guy. But some of the patrons...ai yi yi... weekends is party party party, they come from south side of island in droves, and Puerto Rico. They take up pool, party, boozing it up, loud partying from decks, pool, and seems to be no one to keep it in control. There are no rules here, so if looking for quiet, don't come here. also the constant array of ladies of the evening (young girls mostly) is very disparaging, and mostly because of lewd conduct from them. We were told when we rented this place that it had certain amenities, there were none. Surf Encuentro Properties. Wow, first of all she text me about a week or two before were were to arrive to let me know the place we originally booked was sold so she put us in another one...wow and that was horrible. I can see why these places go for so cheap. When we could not take it anymore the noise etc. we moved. but also because we were told at one time there was a shuttle as it is written up this way on her site, shuttle to town, well no shuttle, and when we asked Lisa why no shuttle, she said she does not give out that information. Why? Why would you not want your clients to know that? Deceiving? Well we got no money back from her, and we did move, to a more desirable and decent place. I guess you get what you pay for. But be careful who you deal with as well. Would I recommend this place? NO! Even my friend who picked us up at airport, when dropped us off, he immediately went home and said to wife that we need to get out of there. So he spoke to a friend as well as his brother who is manager of a place on the beach in Cabarete. He was helpful in getting us prime location for rest of our winter getaway of 3 months. so we did spend two and a half months in paradise! A bit more pricey, but again...you get what you pay for. Monte Vista is on mountainside of Sosua, and we did not like it, or Sosua. Unless you got a car....don't stay here. you want peace and tranquility...don't stay here. do not deal with Surf Encuentro Properties or the owner.
