Apartamentos Playamar

Absolutely fantastic weeks stay at the Playamar apartments. The apartments were spotless and spacious. We stayed on the 23rd floor which was not a problem as the 2 lifts were in working order all week, the view was amazing and it meant we could keep the balcony doors open at night which let in a bit of a breeze. ||Loved the fact the pool doors stayed locked until 10am as this meant no one was reserving sun beds at a ridiculously early time. |Some days we went out in the mornings and went to the pool upon return (around 2/3) plenty of people had left the pool by this time and taken their things with them meaning it was no problem getting a sunbed in the afternoon. ||Yes there is no cleaner and you have to change your own sheets etc .. this was no problem for us and certainly would not stop me returning. ||Plenty of bars and places to eat within a short distance from the apartments meaning we were never bored. And when we did want to venture further a field the number 1 or 10 bus is easy to catch from opposite Lidl and it takes you right into the centre of town! ||Recommend using Lidl rather than the smaller supermarkets .. who seem to want to rip you off (7euros for 6 bottles of water when could get a 5l bottle from Lidl for 0.65).||Benidorm palace is a must see and only a very short walk from the apartments. Our party ranged from adults in their 60s to teenagers and everyone came away having thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Apartment was great, clean and nearer to the strip than we thought. Big balcony, shower great, will definitely book again. Be prepared for deposit on arrival, which I paid in pounds at 150.

I am giving this hotel a 2 star due to the way we was treated upon leaving. We stayed here for 5 nights - girls holiday The perfect place for a cheaper stay, it was a little out the way but ten mins walk when chatting away. Coconut cafe just around the corner is so good. Anyway upon arrival was really happy and throughout the stay staff was lovely, although when it came to leaving we went down to reception and went to check out for one of our rooms , he said he just needed to check the room before processing our refund room deposit (€euro 150) he went up to check our room and came down shaking his head and sighing , I asked what is wrong he said rubbish needs to be taken to the bins outside. We cleaned our room top to bottom and had all rubbish in a bin bag which we got from reception earlier on in the day from another staff member who was lovely! My friend stated that she didn’t know where the bins was and he was getting his hair off shouting at her for asking it was 1.30am like what else did he have to do at this time for him to be so stressed. My other friend was also questioned what she had broken and put in the bag she said nothing it’s food we haven’t ate and rubbish. I asked if we could have another bin liner for the other room ,he didn't understand what I meant I used all different words to try to help which is fair enough. He then processed my refund after sighing lifting his hands and storming round and then checked out my other friends in there room after checking there room. Luckily myself and friends are not intimidated by men but I feel a group of girls who are less confident may have felt intimidated the way he was going off. So so rude. Made us late for our taxi and yes we came down 45mins before taxi due! Personally wouldn’t stay again just for the reason of him wish I got his name. Hope something can be resolved for others sake.

The Playamar Apartments were amazing, clean tidy and the team were so friendly and helpful. Myself and friends stayed in May and will be a return destination. |The team went beyond great customer service as on my return I had left something in sunny Benidorm in which they posted back to me, and for that I will be eternally grateful. |See you soon!!

Bed mattress very uncomfortable. Quite a few extra costs AC -Safe ect.Big balcony is a plus good value. Nice pool bar and pool

Lovely clean apartments huge balcony lovely walk in shower not a huge pool but big enough decent loungers and a lovely covered area to cool off the only downside was that the air con doesn't filter through to the bedroom so we moved the table and chairs and moved the sofa bed under the air con unit and slept there all week cos the humidity was draining would definitely return

The whole place was spotless and the staff couldn’t help you enough the balcony was massive and nice small pool area.Coconut bar round corner was nice and outdoor market on your doorstep.10 minute walk to the strip and 15 minutes to beach ideal location I couldn’t fault it.

Very basic , pool not cleaned , filters not working , unexpected €150 deposit €10 a day air con disgusting rate , two rings for cooking in tiny kitchen , no snack bar , small window as pool bar , have to pay for plastic glass with ice to use your own water , can’t have your own food and drink around pool area , check your smoke alarms no battery working in ours , staff not nice or helpful , have to make sure rooms clean and tidy to get deposit back definitely no good for children , WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND, no bar after 8pm when pool window bar closes
