|Before our stay at Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort, we were honestly worried. The online reviews were overwhelmingly negative, and after booking we even considered canceling the trip. In the end, we decided to give it a chance—and we were pleasantly surprised.||First impressions: the hotel is very large, and the reception area was busy, but the check-in process went smoothly and quite fast. Our first small issue came with the room keys—our cards didn’t work, so we had to return to reception. Even after receiving a second set, one card still didn’t function, so we used only one during the stay.||The room itself was a positive surprise: spacious, comfortable, and suitable for a family of four. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear noise from outside, but it wasn’t unbearable.||The pool area is one of the hotel’s highlights. There are seven pools in total plus a small water park for kids. As many reviews mention, there are a lot of stairs to navigate, but overall the pools are well designed and enjoyable. A big plus: you don’t need to queue for hours in the morning to reserve a sunbed. If you want a prime spot, you should still arrive early, but generally there’s enough space. Lifeguards are present throughout most of the day, which adds to the feeling of safety.||Pool bars are convenient, though without all-inclusive, food and drinks are on the expensive side, and some snacks weren’t served very hot. On the other hand, the staff were consistently friendly—special mention to Marta at the pool bar, who was professional and welcoming.||The entire complex is clean and well maintained, with staff clearly working hard to keep things in order. The restaurants were another pleasant surprise: food was varied, fresh, and delicious, with new options every day. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative comments online—compared to many other hotels, the quality here was very good. The staff in the dining areas were excellent too, especially Maria, who went above and beyond to look after guests.||The hotel has three themed restaurants, offering a wide selection of dishes. Even with half-board, you can move between them, which is a great system. Entertainment and activities are offered throughout the day, including fun animation programs and even a kids’ club where you can leave your child for a few hours.||The beds were fairly comfortable, though you do need to ask for extra pillows, as only one per person is provided. Location-wise, the hotel is right in the center of Lloret de Mar, with easy access to plenty of shops, restaurants, and nightlife.||All in all, despite our initial concerns, our stay was much better than expected. The hotel is a little dated in places, but it’s clean, lively, family-friendly, and offers good value for money. We’ve stayed in many hotels, and this one turned out to be a genuinely positive surprise. Not all the bad reviews are accurate—we enjoyed our holiday here and would recommend it.
