Overall a lovely holiday. Travelled as a family of 5|Good points - great location, not too far from bars, shops and the beach but far enough away from the nightlife with young children. The hotel was lovely and clean. The rooms were basic but comfortable. Air con, small fridge and decent beds. Housekeeping changed the towels every day. |Food was of a good standard for an all inclusive hotel. We ate in little Italy in the evening and never struggled to feed our fussy children. Pool bars served decent snacks and all the bars had proper glass bottles of Fanta and coca cola which was surprising. Estrella on tap and a small selection of branded spirits and a few cocktails were also on offer. |The hotel grounds are quite steep but there is a lift to take you to the top. |Staff were friendly and helpful but few and far between. Often only one person serving at each bar meaning there were long waits to be served. Reception staff were great in helping to book water World and arranging a taxi to omni park.|Bad points - entertainment was karaoke 3 nights a week, dj music 2 nights and a professional show on friday and Saturday, both of which were enjoyable. Not a lot going on as far as I could see for children. There appeared to be very few activities during the day, water polo once which was taken over by adults and the ref ended up in the water playing - chaos that drove the kids out of the pool. Half of the lights in the room didn't work leaving it quite dingey. The pools are mostly very deep. The small pool at the bottom was the most suitable for us with children one of which not a great swimmer had a small shallow end. One lift broke down and was left out of order for 2 days. Hand rail on the stairs fell off and was just left. One Pool table out of order. The hotel needs maintenance but it didn't take away from an enjoyable stay.

After reading all the negative reviews I was a little worried about coming here, but it's actually quite nice.|Checked in easily, everything was explained to us about the layout and the drinks cards, which are quite common in Spanish hotels. Our room was clean and comfortable. The main pool area is lovely, lots of sunbeds, very good choice of drinks, and a snack bar where everything is made to order. The restaurants were fine, we could always find something to eat, and actually enjoyed it. I also overheard someone telling the chef about her allergies, so he walked round with her saying what she could eat or needed to avoid, so that was reassuring that they do care.|Downside, i wouldn't like it here with mobility issues, i think the amount of stairs would put me off. On checkout we could put our luggage in a secure locked room, but as we had a late pickup there isn't anywhere to get freshened up, other than the toilets. But we had a lovely holiday, and would happily return.

I’m confused why this hotel gets such bad reviews! It nearly put me off staying here but I am so glad I still went! ||Just got home from a 5 day stay solo with my toddler.||The food was lovely and great selection and I didn’t see any queues everyone speaks of. Different food every meal and all very good with a huge selection of fresh fruit with every meal too! ||The room is standard however working air con and a bath. I found the rooms to be quite soundproof as the balcony could get a bit loud but as soon as you shut the door it was quiet enough for my light sleeping toddler to sleep.||The pools were all amazing, the stairs were a little hard to navigate as a solo parent with their 1 year old but oh so worth it! Pools nice and clean and the splash pad was amazing.||Unfortunately we didn’t attend any entertainment as my toddler goes to bed early however there was a kids disco and adult entertainment nightly. ||Finally the staff… Absolutely amazing and without them helping me retrieve my belongings from the locker I would have missed my flight that I made the transfer for through the skin of my teeth. Thankyou so much for such a lovely stay!

Realised shortly after arriving that we had a dodgy lock / key card on the door. Went to reception to be told it wasn’t activated. Went up and down to reception to advise we were locked out of our room a total of 4 times. 2 technicians sent and multiple cards given with the same issue. No offer to change room when I asked to move. Reception staff advised all rooms are on the same key system so nothing they could do. We got locked out of the room multiple times with young children (wet from pool & late at night).. very annoying having to make the trip to and from reception to 3rd floor to try and get this issue fixed over the week. ||Air con also hit and miss. Only worked 50% of the time. Our friend on the 4th floor lost complete power in her room twice within the week. Couldn’t use any electrical and no lights on in room for the full 4th floor. ||No kettle in room or hair dryer. We had a fridge but my friend did not so she had nowhere to store fresh water for her and her young child. Very tiny rooms with hardly any space to maunavere around the 2 double beds (1 sofa / 1normal). Bathroom was ok. ||Entertainment was shocking and so was the food. Everything very cold but a microwave in the dining room. It was a free for all with very little choice. The breakfast was average. The bar size and tables provided around this area is nowhere near big enough for the size of the hotel or guest total. There are 100s of rooms at this hotel and the stage is no bigger than 8ft wide. About 20 tables so everyone just crowds around. ||Do not book if you have a baby in a pram or mobility issues. Hotel on a cliff side with the children’s pool in the very top of the hotel grounds. A total of up to 10 flights of steps to get to the splash park at the top of the grounds. ||Top gate left unlocked around children’s pool, toddler or child could easily wander away from a preoccupied parent straight to another section of the pool area (leading to a much deeper swimming pool).. the fact this gate has no lock on it was shocking. Especially as this pool is targeted at the younger children. ||Paper cups that go soggy after 2 minutes of having a drink. Plastic only provided to all inclusive members. ||Daughter got ring worm from the sheets. ||would not return.

So I'm currently away staying at the Guitart hotel and I genuinely was worried about staying due to reading some of the reviews, I'm currently half way through my 7 nights stay, food has been great with a wide range of selection with two restaurants and being able to order food at the pool bar with a great selection, the all inclusive alcoholic drinks are made with branded spirits and great selection of cocktails if that's your thing, there is a range of activities and entertainment on throughout the day, the only fault I've found some far which isn't a biggie is drinking facilities in the room, a kettle would have been really helpful with being able to have a coffee on the balcony in the morning, the staff are very friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel is amazing with my room being kept clean daily with fresh sheets. The shops are only a short 10 minutes walk with great souvenir shops with really good prices.

Nearly time to come home and thought I’d share my thoughts as I was very worried after reading reviews…..|It’s on a hill, setting is lovely but lots of stairs, there are lifts and very safe |Safe complex all locked apart from reception 5stars for than. |Rooms cleaned, fresh towels etc every day, cleaners out every morning, 5 stars also |Food is great, plenty fresh fruit every meal, plenty salads and mets, cheeses, dishes , set out lovely |It’s a busy hotel , it’s huge so we experienced small wait at mealtimes, again staff were polite and kind |Pools are clean and maintained hence the 10am opening….. slides great and lifeguard up there was lovely (guy with beard) |Plastic cups are good idea and have had this elsewhere… coffee nice and drinks good quality, staff at poolside bar again lovely ||We (my daughters) and I experienced a horrid member of staff in central bar, abrupt, said no red wine yet I saw some, threw my daughters plastic cup at them to the point they were scared. Her name was cami , I asked. I never complain but she upset me rest of night |Rooms are small and walls are quite thin but after reading review I brought my ear plugs |So well done Guitart, we will return and also will add evening entertainment, African guys, magic show, festival was brilliant

This was the worse all inclusive hotel I have stayed in,definitely not a 4* more like a 3 , the food was lukewarm warm or cold every meal , had to queue up to go in every mealtime no matter what time you went , the walls were so thin u could here everything in the next room or above you , kids running up and down the corridors late at night and early morning , had to queue up for drinks at the bar every evening because they had only one person serving . Would definitely not book this hotel again because of the noise and the food .

I would not recommend this hotel. Pictures of the pool are so deceptive! ||||The water slides and kids pool are up a mountain of steps, good luck walking on the ice skating rink that is the pool edge! 5 days round this pool and seen over 30 people fall over, kids smacking there heads off the floor! It is seriously dangerous. Then if you want a drink or snack… back down the mountain of steps for your ONE drink! (Stupid cup/token regime) ||||Forget sleep of your going here… my 3 year old was woken at least once every night by people either sliding the wardrobe doors open and closed, people shouting and screaming on the balcony or up and down the hallway. You can literally hear the people in the room next door peeing! ||||As for entertainment… that’s a joke! Yes there is a mini disco every night (5 songs) but in the 7 nights we stayed there was evening entertainment twice the other nights was the animation team playing music. ||||The food… well make of it what you will. Didn’t eat a hot meal all week due to the ridiculous queue for dinner every night… 3 restaurants.. nope just 1 for the first few nights and the “Italian restaurant”for the opened for the second part of the week. I say Italian but there was 3 different pizza and 2 types of pasta with 2 different sauces. ||||I will say the “house keeping” team do a great job of keeping the place tidy but the rooms are old and tired. ||||Our holiday experience was made even more uneasy by a large family that arrived a couple of days after us. They where stealing off people, the kids bullying other kids (tipping them of floats on the pool, taking there water toys, literally going upto peoples sun beds and just taking anything that wasn’t nailed down! Throwing stone at kids in the “park” ( four swings) pushing past people, complete locust at meal times, demanding (shouting in people’s faces ) to get them drinks from the all inclusive (they where half board) mocking people pool side etc etc, they where reported to reception many times by many family’s… they did nothing! ||||For a weekend break this hotel would suit but more than that look elsewhere!||||I have travelled a lot and this is deffo not a 4* hotel!
