Aparthotel Adagio Basel City

I stayed here for 3 nights while attending events in Basel. The room was very well appointed, bed was comfortable and large bathroom, with full sink and lots of counter space. There was lots of storage shelves to unpack suitcases and multiple wardrobes to utilise. A full size fridge was available, the kitchen appeared to have supplies to cook a simple meal, although I did not cook while there. I asked for the linens and towels to be changed after the second night. I was told the longer stay the rooms are only cleaned once per week, if I wanted fresh linens I would need to pay the fee for a full cleaning - which I did. That was a real negative. The staff were very nice and there was somebody at reception any time I went past. They had a basket of bread and pastry treats for snacks and some flavoured water on hand as well.

The location of this hotel is very convenient to walk around and tour Basel. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable and the wifi is very reliable. The down side of this hotel is the parking... To gain entrance to the parking you have to get out of your car to scan your key card to open the gate and then hop on your car again, this process is very inconvenient. A warning to everyone about the shower... It is very slippery and challenging to get in and out or because the tub wall is quite high and there is no grab bar nearby to stabilize you. The sink is showing its age with wear and tear as well. The on-site laundry and gym facilities are very convenient. For laundry you can select 1 of 2 options, you wash and dry yourself with the 2 machines in the basement (washers are Electrolux) or you can utilize the hotel laundry service where they wash for you. I opted for washing myself and needed detergent and it cost 10 CHF. Breakfast here is very expensive at 28 CHF and there isn't a lot of options. I would. It recommend the hotel breakfast. There is no dinner at the restaurant but not a problem since it's so close to so many restaurants.

Great location with lots in the area. Spacious garage below with good member rate parking. Stay included a Basel card for free public transport and reduced rate attractions. Comfortable room. Staff especially friendly and helpful :)

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They even lent us a screw driver to do some repairs to my suitcase. The Basel card was a huge bonus.

Couldn't ask for better. Centrally located and easy to walk to everything or grab local transport. Close to a good selection of bars and restaurants too. Room was very clean, comfy and quiet and makes for a great night stay. Also very good value. Would highly recommend.

Pleasant, well appointed apartments. Good, firm beds. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of hot and cold dishes

Good location within the city center (Kleinbasel), accessible by car, parking garage under the hotel, 50m to tram stop, 10m walk to the old city center (Grossbasel), clean and quiet rooms, friendly and helpful staff.

Studio I had was big, close to the city center, beds are oke, kitchen is nice. What could be better, the temperature in the room is very hot. And you can only open 1 window, the other 2 are not possible to open. I had a idea there were some items missing in the kitchen equipment, also there was a coffee maker, but no coffee/thee etc. And the bad/showet is slippery and hard to get put. I m stil young but wouldnt suggest this kind of room for older people. I sure would come back if i stay in Basel again. There was a luggage room and you get the basel card for free transport.
