We’ve just returned from our week stay at Costa Encantada, we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite(the refurbished part) in the reception block. |Upon arriving, the reception staff were friendly whilst checking in, gave us a map, wristbands etc, told us our room was ready(it was maybe 11am, so nice and early).|Our room was clean and tidy, had a kettle, a hairdryer in the bathroom, plenty of towels and soaps available. Super quiet, we were facing the campsite at the back and couldn’t hear much from them at all, absolutely nothing with the balcony doors shut. A drying rail was fixed to the wall on the balcony which was helpful. Also had a travel cot with a proper mattress for our baby. |Some areas in the hotel were dated, the all day buffet area was dark and dated, i noticed some of the toilets around the hotel a bit wobbly, but for the most part the hotel was fine. |Food was a bit disappointing, we were all inclusive but when we return we’d probably drop down to half board/bed and breakfast. Nuggets, chips and pastas available every night for the fussy kids, but we felt that there wasn’t much continuity for meals, nothing really ‘went’ together. Breakfast is probably the best meal time, the omelette station is great. Waffles and pancakes on some days, plenty of pastries available. |The pool area was great, the splash pool with the slides was the perfect height for our children to be able to go down slides and land in the water without going under(3-12 years is advised for the slides), plenty of lifeguards dotted around, lots of sunloungers and umbrellas. The only bit we didn’t like was that we couldn’t see the splash pool from the loungers, so couldn’t let our children go off without one of us following them, would have been nice to have a lounge whilst they could play. But it was fine and i sent my partner with them most the time haha. The floor does get really hot, so swim shoes are definitely needed for the little ones!|My son had an accident involving a heavy metal mirror coming off of the wall and landing on his ankle/foot, this was dealt with quickly between the hotel and Jet2, massive apologies from the hotel and reassurance that they’ll check other mirrors in the rooms. |Gail on reception was super helpful, as were the other members(Gail sourced us some extra teabags as we were thirsty Brits haha). If you happen to book with Jet2, Clare the Jet2 rep is absolutely incredible! |Entertainment was okay, slightly samey some nights, but fine, the animation team seemed friendly and Sergey(hopefully spelt right) was always being chased by the kids and playing, and our 3 year old decided he was a “super funny man”|we’ll definitely be back, a nice hotel for a weeks family holiday☺️
