Where to Stay in Madrid (Updated 2025)

"As a budget option I recommend these no‑frills apartments: they offer AC and Wi‑Fi, are clean and spacious with comfortable beds, are quiet, and sit a stone’s throw from the greenery of Parque del Oeste." - Matthew Kepnes

Brilliant location - just a 2min walk from the train and bus stations. Lots of cafes nearby! The room was big and spacious. No complaints :)

It was pretty nice room, not fancy, but okay for the stay. Good bed, nice staff, clean enough. Close to city center. For that money - excellent.

Just arrived here with my 88 year old mom. ||Nobody helped to carry our 2 suitcases to the room on 5 th floor.| |They are also ignoring any request to provide room with 2 separate beds.||When we enter the room 2 beds were standing together . Probably they wanted me to move them apart by ourselves! ||Thanks for your outstanding services for 2 ladies one of which almost 90 years old!😡😡😡

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Our room was very quiet and clean, and included a small kitchenette which came in very handy. The decor was perhaps a bit dated but this did not particularly matter to us, and our room was very spacious and included air conditioning. Although a little further out from the centre of town, the Arguelles underground station is only a short walk away, and if you like to take in the sights of Madrid then the walk into Gran Via or Plaza Espana is not onerous. The client attention we experienced was excellent - a problem with our shower was fixed and working perfectly later the same day - and everyone we encountered at reception was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Aparthotel Rosales for 11 nights, starting on April 27 until May 8th, 2023. The room we got was large, well equipped, clean, quiet and comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent - close to a Metro station (Arguilles), several bus lines, bars, shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.|The staff were very helpful and polite and assisted us whenever we needed it.

A nice hotel with apartment type rooms. Large amount of space for the price. The furnishings were clean and modern. Good location, close to a metro stop with multiple lines. Some street noise in the room but not a deal breaker.

We stayed 4 nights in this accomodation. We liked the location, 300 meter from metro station Argüelles, and within a 30 minutes walk you reach the city centre. Within a 15 minutes walk you will find many bakeries and some restaurants. |Our room at the back of the hotel was very specious and quiet. Interior and bathroom are somewhat dated but functional. The room sometimes smells a bit of food from the restaurant below (even with the windows closed). Air conditioning worked good but was somewhat loud. Personnel was very friendly and the appearance of the building was classy. |Taking in account the price (+/- € 100 per night) this is a very good accomodation to explore Madrid.

Stayed here with my wife in a one bedroomed apartment. The apartment was a good size, with eating area, small kitchen and sofa separate from the sleeping area. There was also flat screen televisions - although I could only find Spanish television on it. The cutlery, plates and pans were a bit of mixture and there was no kettle although you can boil water in a pan.The bathroom is also large although the shower is a bit old fashioned and did not always maintain its temperature -and could get too hot, the whole bathroom could do with some TLC. ||The bedroom was again good sized with plenty of storage room and a safe and free wi-fi.||The hotel is located near to the metro Argelles, good shops and eating places. It is also convenient for getting to see the key sites in Madrid.
