I returned to this hotel as the 24-hour concierge service is excellent, the rooms are quiet, clean and have well equipped kitchenettes. The hotel is a three minute walk from a metro station and bus stops so navigating the city is quick and easy.||The breakfast buffet provides a good variety of cold foods and is served adjacent to the garden. Being able to enjoy breakfast in the cool of the garden is lovely.

Great stay at Aparthotel Silver. It’s in a great location near shops, the metro, and restaurants. Interestingly, there were several sushi spots in the area. There is also an organic grocery store nearby if that interests you. The room was comfortable and had a small kitchenette which was useful. I am a hot sleeper so I was disappointed with the AC. It doesn’t go below 19°c and that seems to be throughout most hotels in Spain. Luckily they did have a ceiling fan and this combo worked for me! I feel like the room was clean but could have been better. When looking closely there were corners and small areas that hadn’t been touched. But overall I was very comfortable in my room. All the staff were so friendly, smiled, and greeted me any time I walked in. They answered any questions I had too. They also helped with getting me a taxi for the airport when it was time to check out. Had a great stay!

We stayed at an aparthotel for four days from 14 June to 18 June 2025. When we arrived in the evening, we were welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable hotel staff. Francesca, in particular, was helpful, directing us to a nearby laundry and a restaurant serving excellent paella. The other staff were also very courteous. Our room was spacious enough for two, a well-maintained studio apartment with a small kitchen containing cooking utensils and appliances. Since we preferred to eat dinner earlier than 8 pm, we appreciated being able to reheat our meals. The bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries, and we even found a foot massage machine to use after our day out. The parting gift of chocolates on our last day was a lovely and unexpected surprise.

We chose this place for our trip and were very happy with our stay. The location was excellent—right at the start of a small alley with easy access to the subway, and surrounded by shops and cafés. The hotel itself was cozy and compact. The rooms were clean and included a small kitchen, which was very convenient. There was also an elevator to access the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We appreciated the location of this property and found most of the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We paid for an upgrade to have a larger room and patio (even though rate listed online at our arrival for this room was less than what we paid for our originally booked room.) The room was adequate but could benefit from an update, especially in the bathroom and furnishings. (It felt very institutional to us.) The patio area could also benefit from some tlc as the plants were dying, lounge cushions were dirty and tearing from the sun. ||However, the worst thing about our stay was that the air conditioning never went cooler than 26.5, but mostly 27.5. We were told that this was due to regulations and also because they are a “green” hotel. I have been unable to substantiate these claims, as the information I have found states a much lower temperature and also states that private spaces (i.e. hotel rooms) do not apply to these rules. Thankfully the ceiling fan helped make sleeping mostly bearable. I’m glad that we only had 2 nights in the hotel and that it was not indicative of the rest of Spain.

Bad experience and poor hotel communication with the hotel's high 3.95% mark-up conversion rate from Euro to US dollars. The hotel did not alert me of this high conversion rate before giving me the option to pay my hotel bill in US dollars. The high conversion rate was not displayed on the payment terminal screen before I swiped my credit card to pay my bill. I only learned of this high conversion rate after I have paid my bill in US dollars. This high conversion rate practice is dubious, unfair, and is very misleading to consumers. I ended up paying extra $$ for the hotel bank's high conversion rate on top of my hotel bill. The hotel's bank refused to refund this extra $$ after I complained about this poor and unfair communication to the hotel manager. Always check the payment terminal to make sure you are paying in Euros before you swipe your credit card for payment.

My friend and I stayed for 5 nights, averaging around 144 euros per night. Overall, the hotel was quite nice. The room was spacious and included thoughtful touches like blackout curtains, a mini kitchen, a generously sized mini fridge, and a foldable table. While the hotel is located in a more suburban part of Barcelona, not central, it’s very well connected, with the metro and multiple bus lines just steps away. A few things to note: the shower was quite small and drained slowly, often leaving a couple inches of water over our feet while showering. The bathroom had limited counter space, so we had to keep some toiletries by the bed. Our bed sheets had some noticeable stains and could’ve used a deeper clean or replacement. As an eco-friendly hotel, housekeeping must be requested by 7pm the night before, which we often forgot due to being out all day, so we only had it once during our stay. On the plus side, the hotel held onto our key cards when we were out for added security, and the 24-hour reception was a nice touch. The fan and AC worked well, which is a rare perk in many European hotels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for just under a week and overall was a good experience. The location is very convenient near the metro, so is easy to get to from the airport and into the gothic quarter. The staff on the desk are lovely! We did have trouble getting our room cleaned consistently, as we had asked at the start of our trip to have daily cleaning. The staff must have found it hard to time it for when we were out of the room - it wasn’t a big deal and we still got cleaning. You do have to leave your key at the desk before leaving but it’s not a big deal either way- it actually helps not lose them! One negative was the noise in the morning. Most morning we were woken around 8am to drilling and other noises. Not ideal when trying to sleep in on holiday

Yelp
Very insensitive management. We had to cancel due to changes of plans because of death in the family. Front desk personnel admonished us by telling us we should have purchase refundable rate because our mother was old and death was to be expected; what kind of person/business says that to a patron? We even showed a death certificate but they were not moved. Again, careless & money hungry. It's all about the money and there are many other, much better, places to stay in Barcelona. Do your due diligence before you book with this facility.

Yelp
Great hotel staff and convienent to two transit stations(2 and 5 minutes walk). Our room had a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, sink, microwave and dining table. Our room overlooked the back patio which has table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy a meal from the hotel's cafe. Everytime you leave the hotel, you have to drop off the room keys to the 24-hour front desk. This may be a good thing, less things to carry around while you sightsee. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be out of the busy area.

Yelp
Aparthotel Silver was the perfect choice for me and my husband on our recent trip to Barcelona. The location was superb--it was close to the main sights, but not anywhere busy. A very easy-to-use metro stop is at the end of the street, so you're never more than a few minutes away from the big draws of the city. It's in a small street that has a cafe and an ice cream shop at the end, and there is a mini market just a few doors away. The neighborhood down the road is trendy and organic--we loved grabbing coffee amongst locals at a local plaza. The rooms themselves can be described as very small studio apartments--there is a small kitchenette, and a small bathroom, so it is officially an "aparthotel", but there isn't muhc space to walk around. We got a balcony room, and we were impressed by the size of the balcony when compared to the room itself. The breakfast was a really good, by continental breakfast standards, and there is a lovely terrace to enjoy it on. If you book your stay online, one guest will have their breakfasts included! What really stood out for us was the service provided at the hotel. The front desk staff were always there when we arrived, and they helped us with whatever we needed. They went above and beyond with assisting us when we realized that we had left a precious item on the taxi the day before, and were always there to welcome us with a smile. Aparthotel Silver isn't a luxury option, but if you want a reasonably-priced, quiet home base for your time in Barcelona, then I'd highly recommend it!

Yelp
Nice accommodations but they heavily restrict who is allowed in your room. My family was staying at another hotel and consierge would not let them go up with me to my room. I paid a lot for the room and my family should be allowed to visit.

Yelp
We chose this hotel because it is located in a primarily residential area of Barcelona. Our goal was to be close to the tourist attractions but not actually be immersed in it during our whole time. It is very easy to get around Barcelona from this hotel because it is located closely to the subway system. We landed at the airport and took a bus and then transferred to the subway to get to the hotel. The trip took approximately 30 minutes in total. Most of the tourist locations were 3 - 4 subway stops away from the hotel. We were able to get to most places within 10 - 20 minutes of travel. The rooms are very modern and functional for the space. They include a mini kitchen so you can store extra food, fruits, or drinks. There is a convenience store 5 feet from the hotel and the major dining area in the neighborhood is a leisurely 5 - 10 minute walk away.. The hotel itself offers a AYCE continental buffet for about 10 euros, but haven't tried it. The restaurants in the area are absolutely the best and have a "local resturant" feel to it. Definitely would stay here again the next time we come back to Barcelona.

Yelp
Very good service and location. They have free WiFi, luggage lockers, and a kitchenette which was very useful during my stay. As a 22 year old woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. My only complaint is the walls are thin. I think it was very well worth my money though. Staff is lovely as well and very helpful.

Yelp
I was going to be spending a week in Barcelona alone to sight see before attending a meeting and a friend recommended I stay here. I can't thank her enough! Yes, just a bit out of the hustle, bustle of Las Ramblas and thankfully so. I had room 102, which at first I balked at as the big windows looked right out over the garden area where breakfast was served. But they were sold out and there was no chance to change rooms and I'm thankful that was the case. No one came to breakfast until 9am and then it was an easy flow. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but for 8 euros it's a good deal and you get to sit in the quiet, beautiful enclosed garden area. I had coffee each morning for 1.45E. And I enjoyed the sunlight pouring into my room from those big windows! As I was in an inside room it was quiet and peaceful. I had a good sized refrigerator, microwave and a fun fold out table for meals, work, reading along with a desk and plenty of closet space. Free wi-fi, comfy bed, modern, clean room. Each morning I awoke to the sun coming over the neighborhood buildings and a view of the beautiful little garden. Of course, blinds down when dressing but otherwise who cares! No one was ever out there after breakfast so I felt like I was in my own little paradise. Hotel is a block from the L3 Fontana Metro station. Two grocery stores within blocks. Lots of great stores in the area. I walked several times from the hotel to Placa Catalunya and it took me about 20 minutes but was a pleasant, easy walk. There's a McDonalds (almost empty most of the time!) and Starbucks nearby if you must go. CNN is the only english channel on tv but I'm not a tv watcher so it didn't matter. Wonderful restaurants just a short stroll away. Safe, delightful area. Rate was 85E for single and I will stay here again and again. Friendly staff, great location, clean modern rooms.

Yelp
Aparhtotel silver was our home away from home while visiting the absolutely fabulous city of Barcelona. It is located in the Gracia district, a bit on the outskirts of the main city area, and is a relatively small hotel with a personalized feel. Upon arriving late at night on a rainy Tuesday, we were greeted by the clerk and he checked us in and gave us the room key. We asked if we could have a second key copy since there were 2 of us, but since the locks on the doors are a traditional lock and key rather than a card, they do not have copies. They also ask you to leave the key at the front desk while away from the hotel, presumably to prevent loss or theft of the key in the streets. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and went right up to our room. We were impressed to see it was modern inside the room and very clean. It was a great size overall with a nice storage closet and a safe as well as a flat screen TV and best of all, a kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a stove top burner, small sink, microwave and small fridge with freezer compartment. This was a life saver while we were here in BCN and we were so glad to have it. We used it often to store snacks, drinks and sandwich making items which we purchased from one of many local supermarkets. This helped to save money on constantly dining out and was just nice to have a place to make food without having to leave to eat dinner every night. The wifi worked great and never had any problems. Rooms were cleaned daily and staff was always quick to accommodate any requests. The bed was very comfortable, the black out shades on the windows were a life saver and made it so easy to sleep in late in the morning. They do offer a breakfast out on a nice balcony area outside, and it is priced at 8 euros. My mom tried it one day and said they had a decent selection of items, but i never personally tried it myself. Upon check out, we left our luggage in the lockers on property as we had a day to sight see before leaving the city but didn't want to lug around our bags all day. It worked out great. The only aspect that is less than great of this hotel is their location. Due to it being in Gracia district, as I mentioned its a bit outside the main area. In a way, this is a plus, since we got to check out an area that the locals tend to hang out in more than being overrun by a bunch of tourists. Many cool, local tapas shops and stores are located within walking distance and the L3 line Fontana metro is literally a 2 minute walk away. However, even with the metro being so close, it still took a minimum of 20 minutes to get to many attractions (i.e. Font Magica, Sagrada, Parc Guell, etc) and the beach was even further about 45 minutes away by bus or metro. If you are okay with staying a bit further out and commuting into town, then it's not an issue at all. The price cannot be beat for all we did receive during our stay. At only 85 euros a night for a place that includes a kitchenette, that's a steal, especially in May. Due to this factor, we were easily able to overlook the location issue and were very satisfied with our stay. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend to others.

Yelp
Spent a week at the end of August here on holiday and thought it first rate. We had a room on the second floor with fridge, microwave, stove top and the critical utensils and cookware. We really did not take advantage of them or the breakfast (for additional cost) as we slept late, had lunch out, and dined after 10 PM each night, mostly on tapas and mostly not near the hotel. The staff was fluent in English and appropriately friendly and very helpful. As has been noted, the hotel is convenient to the metro (we bought ten-trip tickets that worked well for us) and basic shopping. We walked a LOT, and very much enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times , this last time for an extended stay -- and it was perfect ! The location is wonderful: one block from the Fontana metro in the heart of the Gracia section, which is a true lively neighborhood with all amenities. And it is a short walk to Diagonal and close as well to plaza catalunya and to the ramblas. On the metro, diagonal is the first step and a few minutes more and you are in the heart of the ramblas The kitchenette makes it easy to have some meals in the room and grocery shopping is only steps away. Great movie theaters for those staying for more than a very short time. But the best thing about the hotel is the fantastic staff, helpful and friendly to a person. For this very reason , the hotel is for me far superior to renting an apartment.

Yelp
Hotel Silver was an excellent stay for my recent three days in Barcelona. The hotel rooms are clean, well-equipped and incredibly spacious. An extremely pleasant surprise was the huge bathroom. I have always been under the impression that large bathrooms are a-typical in Europe as compared to the U.S., but after a week elsewhere in Europe with a tiny bathroom, I was more than excited to see the size of the bathroom! The hotel also has a great location- a block away from the Fontana metro station and just as close to Asturias- a major street for restaurants, shops, and bars. Very accessible, very accommodating, clean, as well as quiet! Wifi also works well and speedily. Staff were also helpful and called us a cab to the airport (although there is a taxi stand just around the corner.) The only downside is that if you need them to hold your luggage, they use lockers in their car garage to do so. You keep the key and they seem sturdy, no issues, but it still made me nervous!
