Rooms are spacious and have basic kitchen supplies - microwave, pots, pans, fridge - great for preparing baby food. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are NOT quiet however - there is absolutely no noise proofing at all. You can hear room noise from 2 floors away let alone next door. That said during our stay, guests were very respectful and quiet, and the street doesn’t have traffic. Breakfast is very basic - bread, ham, cheese. Location is very good - metro station is a 2 minute walk, only 3 stops away from the centre Plaza Catalunya. There are super-markets, bakeries, and restaurants all 2 minutes walk away. Taxi to the airport and cruise port is about 25 minutes.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Aparthotel Silver. Over the course of six nights, we were unable to get proper sleep or rest due to the poor soundproofing. We could hear everything from the neighboring rooms (specifically room 409) late at night, as the rooms are only separated by thin doors that offer little to no noise isolation. While we were advised to call reception whenever noise became an issue, this is not an experience one expects from a three-star hotel. We requested a room change but were told the hotel was fully booked, leaving us with no alternative. When we expressed our disappointment at check-out, the receptionist simply told us that thin walls are "normal" in Barcelona buildings. While this may be common, we expected better insulation from a hotel in this category. At the very least, some form of compensation—such as a late check-out—would have been a reasonable gesture of goodwill, but no such offer was made. Additionally, we found the hotel’s policy of requiring guests to leave their room keys at reception every time they stepped out both inconvenient and outdated—it felt more like staying in a student residence than a hotel. While the hotel’s central location in Gracia and the inclusion of a kitchenette and comfortable beds were positives, they did not make up for the overall experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

It was a great experience of staying here in Room 407 for 5 days from 29 Nov to 4 Dec 24. Everything was fantastic. It's located on a brief walking distance from the Fontana metro station. Almost a perfect location. Reception staff was very nice and cooperative. Room service was efficient. Would definitely like to stay here again. My compliments and regards to everyone there ☺️

Best value I’ve experienced in a hotel. All the staff were really friendly and professional. Melissa was especially great. She makes the atmosphere really positive and welcoming. The neighborhood is fantastic, room quiet, and bed is really comfy too!

Very small room difficult for two people to walk around, no dishwasher, no paper towels, thin walls. A/C doesn't work in winter, there's a fan. Bathroom shower is also very small, the ceiling is quite low with signs of water damage and mold. You must leave the room key with the front desk every time you leave the hotel which was weird and inconvenient. Breakfast buffet is €15 with cold food only, no hot food.

A nice hotel with a great location, just a few steps from metro station Fontana. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Gracia is a lovely neighborhood with mostly local people. If you want more ”touristic” things, the metro will take you to the heart of the city in few minutes.|Room facing the yard was cozy and well equipped (kitchenette, Chromecast tv etc.).|The atmosphere was relaxed and homely, the staff was very friendly and things went smoothly. We would definitely choose this place again, great value.

The hotel is a quick walk to the metro with lots of shops and restaurants close by. The front desk staff were always pleasant and offered some restaurants. Unfortunately we had a lot of tiny ants in the room so we didn’t use the kitchenette. We had a room on the fifth floor for the terrace. Having outside space was great but the room could use some updated.

This is a fantastic apartment type property just out of the centre of Barcelona a short walk to Fontana metro station which is three stops from Plaza Catalunya which is probably the tourist centre of Barcelona.||The property is an all apartment hotel with modern and from their appearance recently renovated studio apartments. I stayed in room 110 which while on the compact size was adequate for my 11 night stay. There is a modern bathroom with a bath with a shower over it, wc, vanity, hairdryer and some basic pump soap and lotion.||The main room has a decent sized closet with some drawers and a safe which is easy to reach and not attached to the floor. There is a desk with some addition very shallow drawers and a great LCD TV with a few English language stations including CNN and BBC.||There is a small kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge, sink and a two burner ceramic cooktop. The kitchen came supplied with pretty much everything you would want in this type of property but some of the things are on shelves which are pretty high up which may be an issue for some people. While there is a small fridge unlike most other apartment hotels I have stayed at there was no freezer compartment.||The bed was a proper double or queen and not two beds pushed together and there were plenty of power outlets including what I think was a UK plug socket. There were a couple of decent sized bedside tables which were very useful and a proper solid luggage rack was also in the room.||There was a fold down table that I never used as I just used the desk for everything but there was one annoying thing about the room which was the chairs they provided which were not the most comfortable and appeared to be outside patio or balcony chairs and not what I would think would be proper inside desk or dining chairs.||One odd thing in the apartment was one of those electric foot massage things which I guess could be useful after a long day of walking around Barcelona. I was told by the person who checked me in that they have some additional items that you can borrow like a toaster if you need one during your stay.||The property is a very short walk from the Fontana metro station which is a great station which has lift or escalator access from the street level down to both platforms which is a bonus after a long day of walking about the city or if you have luggage and Fontana is on line 3 which is a pretty good line which has some of the stations you would probably want as a tourist and within a few stations you can connect with a lot of other lines so getting anywhere should be as easy as possible.||On the walk to the station are some shops including a supermarket and café and on the main road where the station is there are a lot more shops, bars and cafes and the area appears to be a nice, clean and safe area from what I saw during my stay here. Unlike most apartment hotels I have stayed at they did not have a washing machine and dryer in the building but there was a nice and efficient self-service laundromat only a short walk from the property.||The staff were very pleasant and helpful and there is a breakfast room and garden on the first floor and a nice lobby area on the ground floor. The property has two lifts which are an odd design having both a conventional door that you open like any room door and once inside a set of sliding doors closes as well and the lifts are small.||The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day and unlike most hotels and apartments they ask you to leave the key at the front desk when you are outside the hotel. They also have a garage which would be convenient if you have a car.||Overall this is a fantastic apartment hotel property and I don’t think you could do much better for the price.

Yelp
Very insensitive management. We had to cancel due to changes of plans because of death in the family. Front desk personnel admonished us by telling us we should have purchase refundable rate because our mother was old and death was to be expected; what kind of person/business says that to a patron? We even showed a death certificate but they were not moved. Again, careless & money hungry. It's all about the money and there are many other, much better, places to stay in Barcelona. Do your due diligence before you book with this facility.

Yelp
Great hotel staff and convienent to two transit stations(2 and 5 minutes walk). Our room had a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, sink, microwave and dining table. Our room overlooked the back patio which has table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy a meal from the hotel's cafe. Everytime you leave the hotel, you have to drop off the room keys to the 24-hour front desk. This may be a good thing, less things to carry around while you sightsee. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be out of the busy area.

Yelp
Aparthotel Silver was the perfect choice for me and my husband on our recent trip to Barcelona. The location was superb--it was close to the main sights, but not anywhere busy. A very easy-to-use metro stop is at the end of the street, so you're never more than a few minutes away from the big draws of the city. It's in a small street that has a cafe and an ice cream shop at the end, and there is a mini market just a few doors away. The neighborhood down the road is trendy and organic--we loved grabbing coffee amongst locals at a local plaza. The rooms themselves can be described as very small studio apartments--there is a small kitchenette, and a small bathroom, so it is officially an "aparthotel", but there isn't muhc space to walk around. We got a balcony room, and we were impressed by the size of the balcony when compared to the room itself. The breakfast was a really good, by continental breakfast standards, and there is a lovely terrace to enjoy it on. If you book your stay online, one guest will have their breakfasts included! What really stood out for us was the service provided at the hotel. The front desk staff were always there when we arrived, and they helped us with whatever we needed. They went above and beyond with assisting us when we realized that we had left a precious item on the taxi the day before, and were always there to welcome us with a smile. Aparthotel Silver isn't a luxury option, but if you want a reasonably-priced, quiet home base for your time in Barcelona, then I'd highly recommend it!

Yelp
Nice accommodations but they heavily restrict who is allowed in your room. My family was staying at another hotel and consierge would not let them go up with me to my room. I paid a lot for the room and my family should be allowed to visit.

Yelp
We chose this hotel because it is located in a primarily residential area of Barcelona. Our goal was to be close to the tourist attractions but not actually be immersed in it during our whole time. It is very easy to get around Barcelona from this hotel because it is located closely to the subway system. We landed at the airport and took a bus and then transferred to the subway to get to the hotel. The trip took approximately 30 minutes in total. Most of the tourist locations were 3 - 4 subway stops away from the hotel. We were able to get to most places within 10 - 20 minutes of travel. The rooms are very modern and functional for the space. They include a mini kitchen so you can store extra food, fruits, or drinks. There is a convenience store 5 feet from the hotel and the major dining area in the neighborhood is a leisurely 5 - 10 minute walk away.. The hotel itself offers a AYCE continental buffet for about 10 euros, but haven't tried it. The restaurants in the area are absolutely the best and have a "local resturant" feel to it. Definitely would stay here again the next time we come back to Barcelona.

Yelp
Very good service and location. They have free WiFi, luggage lockers, and a kitchenette which was very useful during my stay. As a 22 year old woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. My only complaint is the walls are thin. I think it was very well worth my money though. Staff is lovely as well and very helpful.

Yelp
I was going to be spending a week in Barcelona alone to sight see before attending a meeting and a friend recommended I stay here. I can't thank her enough! Yes, just a bit out of the hustle, bustle of Las Ramblas and thankfully so. I had room 102, which at first I balked at as the big windows looked right out over the garden area where breakfast was served. But they were sold out and there was no chance to change rooms and I'm thankful that was the case. No one came to breakfast until 9am and then it was an easy flow. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but for 8 euros it's a good deal and you get to sit in the quiet, beautiful enclosed garden area. I had coffee each morning for 1.45E. And I enjoyed the sunlight pouring into my room from those big windows! As I was in an inside room it was quiet and peaceful. I had a good sized refrigerator, microwave and a fun fold out table for meals, work, reading along with a desk and plenty of closet space. Free wi-fi, comfy bed, modern, clean room. Each morning I awoke to the sun coming over the neighborhood buildings and a view of the beautiful little garden. Of course, blinds down when dressing but otherwise who cares! No one was ever out there after breakfast so I felt like I was in my own little paradise. Hotel is a block from the L3 Fontana Metro station. Two grocery stores within blocks. Lots of great stores in the area. I walked several times from the hotel to Placa Catalunya and it took me about 20 minutes but was a pleasant, easy walk. There's a McDonalds (almost empty most of the time!) and Starbucks nearby if you must go. CNN is the only english channel on tv but I'm not a tv watcher so it didn't matter. Wonderful restaurants just a short stroll away. Safe, delightful area. Rate was 85E for single and I will stay here again and again. Friendly staff, great location, clean modern rooms.

Yelp
Aparhtotel silver was our home away from home while visiting the absolutely fabulous city of Barcelona. It is located in the Gracia district, a bit on the outskirts of the main city area, and is a relatively small hotel with a personalized feel. Upon arriving late at night on a rainy Tuesday, we were greeted by the clerk and he checked us in and gave us the room key. We asked if we could have a second key copy since there were 2 of us, but since the locks on the doors are a traditional lock and key rather than a card, they do not have copies. They also ask you to leave the key at the front desk while away from the hotel, presumably to prevent loss or theft of the key in the streets. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and went right up to our room. We were impressed to see it was modern inside the room and very clean. It was a great size overall with a nice storage closet and a safe as well as a flat screen TV and best of all, a kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a stove top burner, small sink, microwave and small fridge with freezer compartment. This was a life saver while we were here in BCN and we were so glad to have it. We used it often to store snacks, drinks and sandwich making items which we purchased from one of many local supermarkets. This helped to save money on constantly dining out and was just nice to have a place to make food without having to leave to eat dinner every night. The wifi worked great and never had any problems. Rooms were cleaned daily and staff was always quick to accommodate any requests. The bed was very comfortable, the black out shades on the windows were a life saver and made it so easy to sleep in late in the morning. They do offer a breakfast out on a nice balcony area outside, and it is priced at 8 euros. My mom tried it one day and said they had a decent selection of items, but i never personally tried it myself. Upon check out, we left our luggage in the lockers on property as we had a day to sight see before leaving the city but didn't want to lug around our bags all day. It worked out great. The only aspect that is less than great of this hotel is their location. Due to it being in Gracia district, as I mentioned its a bit outside the main area. In a way, this is a plus, since we got to check out an area that the locals tend to hang out in more than being overrun by a bunch of tourists. Many cool, local tapas shops and stores are located within walking distance and the L3 line Fontana metro is literally a 2 minute walk away. However, even with the metro being so close, it still took a minimum of 20 minutes to get to many attractions (i.e. Font Magica, Sagrada, Parc Guell, etc) and the beach was even further about 45 minutes away by bus or metro. If you are okay with staying a bit further out and commuting into town, then it's not an issue at all. The price cannot be beat for all we did receive during our stay. At only 85 euros a night for a place that includes a kitchenette, that's a steal, especially in May. Due to this factor, we were easily able to overlook the location issue and were very satisfied with our stay. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend to others.

Yelp
Spent a week at the end of August here on holiday and thought it first rate. We had a room on the second floor with fridge, microwave, stove top and the critical utensils and cookware. We really did not take advantage of them or the breakfast (for additional cost) as we slept late, had lunch out, and dined after 10 PM each night, mostly on tapas and mostly not near the hotel. The staff was fluent in English and appropriately friendly and very helpful. As has been noted, the hotel is convenient to the metro (we bought ten-trip tickets that worked well for us) and basic shopping. We walked a LOT, and very much enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times , this last time for an extended stay -- and it was perfect ! The location is wonderful: one block from the Fontana metro in the heart of the Gracia section, which is a true lively neighborhood with all amenities. And it is a short walk to Diagonal and close as well to plaza catalunya and to the ramblas. On the metro, diagonal is the first step and a few minutes more and you are in the heart of the ramblas The kitchenette makes it easy to have some meals in the room and grocery shopping is only steps away. Great movie theaters for those staying for more than a very short time. But the best thing about the hotel is the fantastic staff, helpful and friendly to a person. For this very reason , the hotel is for me far superior to renting an apartment.

Yelp
Hotel Silver was an excellent stay for my recent three days in Barcelona. The hotel rooms are clean, well-equipped and incredibly spacious. An extremely pleasant surprise was the huge bathroom. I have always been under the impression that large bathrooms are a-typical in Europe as compared to the U.S., but after a week elsewhere in Europe with a tiny bathroom, I was more than excited to see the size of the bathroom! The hotel also has a great location- a block away from the Fontana metro station and just as close to Asturias- a major street for restaurants, shops, and bars. Very accessible, very accommodating, clean, as well as quiet! Wifi also works well and speedily. Staff were also helpful and called us a cab to the airport (although there is a taxi stand just around the corner.) The only downside is that if you need them to hold your luggage, they use lockers in their car garage to do so. You keep the key and they seem sturdy, no issues, but it still made me nervous!
