The service is great. Very friendly staff. The food was also very delicious. We ordered the truffle pasta and walnut salad. Red Sangria is great and strong, which was a delightful surprise for us considering the price! Guests may also reserve the restaurant for events. They have a space for 12pax an another space on the second floor for 30-40pax.

When I was still with the C! Group right across Apt. 1B, we would always have lunch meetings here or chill after work hours waiting for traffic to subside. It was my go to place for grilled porkchops for lunch or coffee and dessert with my editorial crew or layout team. It has been more than a couple of years since I had been here but great to see nothing had changed except my food order. Tried out their Big Breakfast plate and happy to know it was as filling as the porkchops or the herb chicken that I always had (daughter tried it and liked it much). Coffee is still primo. Going back brought back memories of Calibre Magazine and our team.

Enjoyed the food and the chilling time here with friend. Love the bluecheese salad.

We got there the moment last order started. I'm glad and appreciative that they still accommodated us. The mushroom bisque was pretty cool (and so was the large pepper shaker). Clubhouse is very tasty. My companion particularly enjoyed the onion-garlic taste of its chicken salad. We ordered meals we thought were old reliable from the Henry Hotel branch. Indeed, they were just as good. The ambience between branches is different, however. It's good to know both branches have equally reliable food quality.

Very Good Restaurant in Salcedo, Makati. One of my Faves.Highly Recommended!

Great food here! I Was surprised and delighted the hollandaise sauce was homemade, not from a powdered mix. The juice was freshly squeezed and you can pretty much be guaranteed what you order will be made fresh and served hot. There are a lot of business people dining here. I particularly like the generous space between tables as sometimes Makati restaurants can be quite cramped. I came for well-reviewed food but will return for both the great food and awesome service. Kudos to Mel the friendly and efficient server!

A place worth of a 5! A very rare place in the midst of the busy area of Makati. Place is cozy and relaxing, a very good place for private meetings and dining experience. Food is very consistent in taste, serving, and presentation. Menu is also worth the price. Staff is attentive and accommodating , amazing to recognize you on your 2nd or 3rd visit. And if you visit during an acoustic night, you'll feel that relaxing meal with live music on the side. Interior is very artistic and classy. A place like home.

Comfort food that is priced too high. Ordered take out and while I like the 2 piece porkchop, it isn’t worth ₱700+.

Yelp
Food wasn't that great I had the Niçoise salad which was ok but overpriced at P1200. Not going back

Yelp
Stayed at Henry Hotel for a night. This boutique bed and breakfast transformed heritage houses into a city refuge, hidden in the busy streets of Pasay. Apartment 1B is faithful to the modern rustic interiors of the hotel. There is a combination of new furniture style and vintage elements. Restaurant is at the left side of the lobby. We are greeted by the admirable staff. The flooring is a patchwork of machuca tiles. Went for a continental brunch starting off with a piece of eggs benedict consisting of canadian ham and spinach for P130. Presentation is commendable. Gobbled the US Angus Beef Burger (P480). It is made with wheat bun and on the side are thick cut fries. I find the burger patty is a little dry. For dessert, I chose the frozen turtle pie. It's supposedly a pecan pie in cookie crust. I was expecting a lot from it, but to me it was like an ordinary vanilla ice cream cake with pecan on top and not much of a turtle pie. Having Apartment 1B at the hotel is a great option but it could also be a good detail to incorporate heirloom recipes for Henry Hotel's menu.

Yelp
Five stars for my latest visit to this restaurant. What's good here: everything my friends and I had tonight (roasted half chicken, baby back ribs, chicken bolognese and, for dessert, white Toblerone cheesecake and apple crisp. For breakfast, eggs benedict with salmon and spinach. Maybe it's because we couldn't help but compare to what we had last night from that similarly priced organic restaurant located in the same neighborhood (where almost everything tasted bland), that food here tonight tasted so delicious. I know it's not everything is delicious and I remember a few times when I was disappointed with my order but that was a long time ago. The last time I was here was more than 2 years ago. This place has a nice ambiance, I love the Christmas decors they used this year. Waiters were attentive, good didn't take too long to be served. They also had this device with a button for getting the bill and another button for calling waiters if you needed something else--just in case the restaurant gets busy. But tonight, we were only two groups dining at the second floor and we had 2-3 waiters staring in our direction while we ate. When we were about to order our waiter told us right away which menu items were not available. Roasted chicken was moist and tasted good. If you're in a group that doesn't want to share food and you're in the mood for something very filling, this is a good choice. The waiter who sensed we were going to share our entrees asked if we wanted the half chicken chopped and we said yes. This doesn't come with rice. Everyone noticed that they didn't skimp on the ground beef on the spaghetti bolognese! Yummy! Pasta was al dente, plus points for that. Baby back ribs looked like charred meat in the photos but they're really good. Meat slides off the bone. On the expensive side (P790) but I suppose that's how it really is anywhere. Tip: if you want cheaper (cooked) baby back ribs to eat at home, S&R has them for half the price. What I enjoyed surprisingly, too, was the mashed potatoes that came with the baby back ribs. If you don't know what to get for dessert, white Toblerone cheesecake is good. Get some coffee, too. When it comes to finding a place to park your car, I suggest you do some research before going there. During holidays it might be easier to find street parking. Paseo Center carpark could be an option but not always because it gets full on weekdays at lunchtime.

Yelp
Apartment 1B is a restaurant found in the middle of the burgeoning Salcedo Village area. While parking can be hard to come by (especially on rush hour - try parking at the nearby Paseo Center), it's worth making the trek. It's a great place to go to especially on weekends. Chill / jog / do yoga at the nearby Salcedo village park in the morning, then take a short walk to Apartment 1B for lunch. For a while I went crazy for this place. My fiancée is sick to death of me suggesting we eat here. All because I loved their rich French onion soup, their savory meatloaf and tasty pastas, their classy yet comfortable ambience that lends itself well to lunch outs and dinner dates. We ate here until we couldn't anymore, the delicious comfort food taking its toll on our waistlines.

Yelp
This is a very nice and versatile restaurant located in Salcedo Village. It can easily convert from a calm place to have breakfast to a perfect venue for a business lunch. During lunch time, I usually order the Roasted Half Chicken. It's very juicy and can be easily shared if you are not that hungry. Another delicious option is the Turkey Burger (wheat bun, ground turkey breast, gruyere cheese, alfalfa sprouts and cranberry). Although I like the lunch menu, my favourite dishes are the breakfast/brunch ones. Eggs Benedict there are a must-try. I particularly like the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and Spinach. Another dish I highly recommend is the Orange French Toast (wheat bread, toasted almonds). It's just the perfect definition of what comfort food is to me. The orange delicate scent immediately makes me feel in one of those old rainy days in my grandma's house. Pure nostalgia. If you woke up late, don't worry: breakfast is served from 7am to 3pm.

Yelp
American comfort food was indeed comforting. After 3 weeks of eating the local cuisine we wanted a taste of home and we enjoyed all our dishes. Servers were attentive. It was a good dinner at a fair price.

Yelp
I haven't been to Apartment 1B in forever, but in my years working in the Phils, it was always one of my favorite respites from the office. The food is always very comforting, yet still light and extremely fresh. Although I loved grabbing dinner here, the breakfast and brunch are the real reasons to try it. I'm sure many of the dishes have changed since I left, but Apartment 1B is reminiscent of every farm-to-table spot I love back home in the States. The decor is beautiful, clean, and simple, and they even have an upstairs for extra space. The service was always friendly -- but never the standout.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and enjoyed their salmon eggs Benedict (though a bit too heavy on the capers). Their brewed coffee was decent but their espresso tasted a bit burnt and sour. The service was polite though we had to ask for water refills twice and had to ask for our check and receipt twice before it arrived. Over all, it's a quaint little area with decent food, but they definitely need to improve....(especially for their price point); I expect better service. Two eggs Benedict, one brewed coffee and one espresso totaled 1000pesos (that's with one senior discount); left 100 for tip even though I wasn't really impressed. Hopefully next time will be better.

Yelp
When I first heard about Apartment 1B I really didn't think much of the place. After all, how can a restaurant named after a unit number in a condominium building offer anything other than home-cooked goodness? Of course, like most of my food finds, I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Apartment 1B's dining experience is comparable to any upscale restaurant's offering. Even a dish as simple as meatloaf can really make you a believer that there is such a thing as gourmet comfort food. For the morning crowd, their eggs benedict has been a crowd-pleaser for several years. Being a dish that's difficult to find in Metro Manila, I suggest if you've never had eggs benedict before, let Apartment 1B take you out of that eggs benedict-virgin zone as it will truly be an Earth-shattering first time. Some tips: 1. Most of their meals are served in generous portions. If you are concerned about the price, consider sharing your plate and splitting the cost. Yes, orders are big enough to be fully enjoyed by two people. 2. Head straight for the 2nd floor. You'll find a more cozy, comfortable atmosphere with the sofas and tables. 3. For starters, try their baked samosas. A unique twist to the usually-fried versions you'll find in other restaurants. Enjoy!

Yelp
Apartment 1B is comfort food heaven. The best time to eat here is during breakfast or brunch. Their brunch meals are simply delicious and the servings are quite generous. Their Eggs Benedict is divine. Perfectly runny eggs topped with a creamy hollandaise sauce served with your choice of ham or salmon - it is absolutely delicious. I personally prefer the option with the ham. Another breakfast dish that I love to order is the Apartment 1B Big Breakfast and boy, is it massive. It comes with 2 eggs cooked in any way you want (I go for scrambled), served with bacon, bangers, ham and home fries. Now with a big breakfast like that, how can your day go wrong?

Yelp
Do mine eyes deceive me? Or did we just come at a bad time? I love breakfast, so it only makes sense for me to try out popular breakfast places, with hardly a care regarding how much they cost. After all, with a place that serves "gourmet comfort food," you'd be lucky if they were serving anything substantial that's under 200 pesos. Gourmet comes with a price tag! So along with my chef sister (who has been cooking in MIA and SG ) we went their for breakfast, as is natural. We split some breakfast items between the two of us: an order of their pancakes (300) and their big breakfast (500). I regret to say that our food was far from tasting "gourmet", nor did it offer us any comfort. Disappointing, lacking in flavor, and absolutely, utterly normal. We both had left overs on our plate, and started to day with a sad slouch to our shoulders that can only come from a disappointing food choice. (We were seated at the counter, and just as we were supposed to leave, I saw a baby cockroach scuttling over the polished wood... But that's neither here nor there.)

Yelp
If you're looking for a cozy place to have some belly tickling comfort food, this is the place. To me this is a comfort food place you'd find in the U.S. with a menu including burgers (including turkey burgers), meatloaf, baby back ribs and spaghetti bolognese. They also have a good, hearty meat selection of osso buco, roasted half chicken, braised lamb shank and grilled pork chops. My hubby went for the baby back ribs while I opted for the spaghetti vongole. The ribs were fabuous, I wish I had ordered them. My spaghetti was yummy as well, but a tad bit on the salty side. I still really enjoyed it though. Service was top notch, some of the best I've had in Manila. Our server was highly experienced and knew how to be in the shadows, knowing exactly when we needed something and when we should be left alone. Superb! Overall, the menu is an eclectic gathering of items, but somehow it all works. Because of the variety, I'm sure this place will become a staple in our dining out routine.

Yelp
Reliable mixed cuisine done well and simply. Having a bar also helps. Breakfast lunch or dinnner. When not sure , Apt 1b can feed you

Yelp
I don't know whether to call this name clever or lame. On the one hand, it doesn't clue you in on the cuisine, and it's somewhat confusing to explain to someone who's never heard it--that "we're eating at whatnow??" conversation. On the other hand, it's easy to remember and you'll likely never find another place with the same name. After eating there a few times, I've come to lean on the latter, as it actually fits the aesthetic quite well. The large chairs, neutral colors and dashes of homey accents do recall a casual-cool apartment, and it brings out the rowdiness in me and my friends. Protip: always be early so you can claim the best seats with the comfy couches. While it seems a bit silly to have to wrestle for the spot, it makes a big difference for the meal and feel. Make sure to visit for breakfast if you're the type that only orders breakfast at breakfast despite the all-day availability.
