The location is convenient, and having on-site parking is a big plus.
The building consists of seven rental apartments spread over three floors. While the overall structure is in decent condition, the apartments themselves are in need of renovation. Several issues make them less appealing — for example, the shower door knob is broken, the shower is old and heavily worn, and the walls could definitely use a fresh coat of paint.
However, the main issue is that the walls are extremely thin.
On the second floor, there are four apartments, and you can hear everything happening in your neighbors’ units. At 2:45 in the morning, the guests in apartment 4 returned very noisily and woke us up. I had to ask them to quiet down, which they did, and things were fine after that. The problem is they moved out the following morning. Now we have new neighbors on both sides of our apartment, and we’re concerned they may also be noisy at night. It feels like we’ll have to educate each new tenant about the insufficient soundproofing and the need to be extra considerate.
