Glacier is a beautiful park with incredible views. The visitor center is a good stop before you head into the park. They have a good shop inside with good prices. The park rangers were helpful with questions. There is also a large trail map inside so you can preplan your trip into the park. Keep Your eyes open for grizzly bears. They are not easy to spot in the mountains but super cool when you do see one.

The Apgar Visitor Center at Glacier National Park was great. Very organized, you could tell where you were supposed to catch your Red Bus tour, a lot of rangers available for questions, great store with lots of hats, shirts, and souvenirs. Unfortunately, their parking lot is pretty small for the amount of people that show up. But if you wait on the hour for a tour to end, then parking is more readily available. Just get there early and be patient with parking.

Apgar visitors center is located on the southern end of McDonald Lake. Its a great starting point for your trip into the park area. There are canoe rentals along with paddle board. Campground are located in and around the area but permits are needed along with you park pass. This also has a shopping area with lots of shops and coffee. Views are awesome and the lake is crystal clear. Make no mistake, this a great place to start your adventure.

I visited the Apgar Center the day before Glacier National Park "opened" for the summer. It wasn't overly busy, which is good because it's not a very big place. I imagine during the busy summer months it can get very crowded. The rangers were stationed outside in front of the gift shop. The gift shop is large with a wide variety of souvenirs to choose from. Behind the center is a short trail that goes to the shore of Lake McDonald, which is stunningly beautiful.

Google
Very nice facility with helpful park service employees and rangers on hand. Make sure to visit the gift shop to help support the park. This is one of the pickup points for Red Bus tours and you will see them lining up on the side of the building. We were at the Center in September and parking was available. Would imagine parking will be very limited in high season. As a side note you do not need a timed permit to visit the center. One is needed to go further into the park at certain times.

Park rangers are knowledgeable and ready to answer all your questions. There is a Junior Randers program and you can get the book from the rangers. It's a fun way to encourage kids to learn about the park. Gift shop inside. Shuttle bus stop outside.

The visitor center is at Logan Pass, one of the most popular stops on the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park and at the continental divide. The visitor center is okay. Has interesting information about the area which what I want from it. But as for the gift shop, the selection is limited. Yet the most important reason to visit the center is the GORGEOUS scenery at Logan pass. I recommend taking the short hike to the hidden lake if you are physically able to, Wow. And anyone you talk to about Glacier Park I am sure will agree, I can't miss National Park.

First, it was the second time visiting this beautiful national park. Such an amazing place with a beautiful road, under some interesting maintenance. While it is worth noticing the increase in visitors from all over the globe and locals, it provides the peace and warm for your soul. As for this place call Apgar Visitor Center, wifi is great, but seats not very confy. It is against federal law to plug your personal devices in any, any, but any electricity charging station. Was told, " it is not allow to use federal electrical outlets" such offense, as experienced, comes with a so call owner of such federal building, telling those progresive and last words. While it is great to see public and free transportation, it is not great to experienced rude and merciless park rangers. Such experience wont be forgotten, as it reminds me of those colourful pictures attached.

Yelp
They have merchandise and bear spray. Not a bad price . Clean bathrooms here and not too crowded

Yelp
This is a nice visitor center for the West Entrance of Glacier Np. You can find all the little collectibles you expect - clean bathrooms - Wi-Fi to download offline maps (bc you'll need it) - and friendly NP Rangers to give you tips and tricks for where to go in the park. We spend about a half an hour here our first day getting our bearings and so I could buy stickers and pins as usual and got suggestions and directions. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

Yelp
We stopped by for information before hiking. They have a store where you can buy souvenirs. You can also buy bear spray there. If you don't want to buy the bear spray, you can go to Apgar Village and rent it. The park rangers were very informative. They are able to give you a map and give you an idea of where you can hike and how long it will take you. This area has cell service in the parking lot. They have Wi-Fi inside the store. There's clean bathrooms too.

Yelp
I loved the lodge aesthetic of this visitor center! Very fitting for the park. They had more variety in terms of the gift shop here vs. the St. Mary visitor center and it is very close to the west entrance of the park, which was convenient for us since we were staying at Columbia Falls.

Yelp
Glacier National Park's Apgar Visitor Center is a great facility that provides visitor information services, pick-up and drop-off services for the park's shuttle system and concession-operated tour and transportation services. There is also a retail area with a restaurant and bookstore managed by the Glacier National Park Conservancy and clean public restroom facilities. The Apgar Visitor Center building is recognized as LEED Gold Certified and was built using sustainable building materials. Bravo for that. Apgar is located one mile north of the West Entrance Station on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. I like that there are Ranger-led activities for kids, in both summer and winter and free WiFi. If you are planing to go hiking, ask the helpful Rangers there what trails might have bears. Watch the safety video on how to run a bear off. I was dropped off here to catch the Sun Tour that leaves from this Center. There is a big parking lot here with plenty of room for the many visitors this beautiful National Park attracts Very nice Visitor Center..

Yelp
More of a tip. Cell service is spotty/non existent in most of the National Park. However, here at the Apgar Visitor Center you get cell service in the parking lot. Coupled with the free WiFi in the building, I would call this the communications center of the park if you need to get in touch with anyone. No surprise, there are water bottle filling fountains in the hallways leading up to the bathrooms.

Yelp
Disappointed that the visitor center here and at Logan's Pass were so small. There was more variety at the gift shop in some of the park lodges. It was nice though and convenient. Wish they would've had more shuttles up to Logan's/Avalanche since we had to wait in line for an hour.

Yelp
Stopped here while visiting the park. The rangers were very helpful in picking out what to do with the time I had. A lot of good displays outside. CLean with good bathrooms. Good stop if you come in the west entrance.

Yelp
Great stop on your way in or out (or both) of the west side of Glacier National Park. There's plenty of parking (a huge challenge during high tourism season at the GNP), water bottle refilling stations (YAY!!!) and clean restrooms. Make sure you stop in, talk to the rangers and get a supply of maps and recommendations on how to maximize your day at GNP.

Yelp
Glacier has amazing scenery and they want you to respect the environment. BUT their shuttle system is awful and you spend at least an hour waiting for it. If they want you to be environmentally friendly, their shuttle bus does anything but encourage it. If you spent time waiting, please post so they improve the situation, for the good of the park!

Yelp
We (my friend and I) showed up for a 2:00 snowshoeing tour on Saturday, February 23. The Rangers working at the visitor center were the best. Completely professional, yet very friendly. Our tour guide, Sarah, led us to some beautiful scenery, and even took us off the beaten path for a while. All in all, a very memorable experience. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Probably a good place when it's open. But the website does not make it clear it was only open on Saturday and Sunday so during the week your on your own. The west gate entrance said it was open from 8 am but on arrival it said 9 am. Would be nice if it were clear that it's either open or closed and what time. In any case - it seems that it's season dependent and weekends only.
