Apo Idon Beach Hotel

The room is okay, I have no complaints on that. The water heater stops working after using a while, though. You have to wait for a while till it releases warm water again. I was also looking forward to use the pool because we arrived a little too late to swim on the beach, but it’s too dirty and we might get sick if we swim indoors

We tried looking for the newest establishment in Saud but we keep going back to Apo Idon because of its cleanliness. When they take you to the rooms, they are clean and spotless and ready for guests. The toilets are the cleanest toilets we have ever seen (too white) that you feel ashamed if u had a bad stomach and had to use the WC. Cleanliness, that's #1 for us. Service, have seen some of the staffs we have met 7-8 years ago and still the same. Smiling, accommodating, friendly and ready to help. It's a shame their restaurant is closed. So ask 1st before checking-in if you want breakfast inclusions.

This place is a ghost town. I'm sure was majestic some years back but has been sadly let go. Room was musty with no airflow, hot water took at least 10 mins to get hot. Was no toilet paper or soap when we arrived. TV barely worked. Staff a bit disinterested really. No bar no restaurant, well the had but not functional. |Bed comfy a/c and fan good, but this joint is on life support.

The beach was nice, but the service and management were very disappointing. We had several unresolved issues: No towels: We had to ask twice just to get basic towels. Why wasn’t this prepared beforehand? No blankets: Our rooms had none. We had to walk 200 meters to the main desk because no one was available at the annex—completely unacceptable. Deposit slip issue: They demanded a deposit slip to return our PHP 1,000 per room—but never told us we needed one. We had to argue to get our money back. Parking problems: Although the parking area is large, they don’t manage it. Random cars (not from guests) blocked the exit. It took over 30 minutes—and two follow-ups—for them to respond. Paying for a relaxing stay shouldn’t mean chasing after basic necessities. Please do better.

Apo Idon Beach Resort, Pagudpud: A Stay to Regret – Never Again! My recent visit to Apo Idon Beach Resort in Pagudpud was, in a word, highly disappointing. From start to finish, the experience was marred by issues that make me strongly advise against booking here. The most glaring problem was the consistently bad attitude of the staff. Instead of the warm hospitality one expects, interactions were frequently unpleasant and unhelpful. This immediately set a negative tone for the entire stay. Adding to the frustration were the dirty and old rooms. It was evident that cleanliness is not a priority, and the aging facilities were in dire need of an update. This significantly impacted comfort and hygiene, making the accommodation far from relaxing. Finally, the resort's bad business practice of not providing an official receipt is unacceptable. This lack of transparency and proper documentation is a major red flag. Overall, the combination of rude staff, unkempt rooms, and questionable business practices made for a truly miserable stay. I can confidently say I will never again book at Apo Idon Beach Resort.

Room was beautifully designed. Beds are comfortable. no hot water in the shower. we requested for hot water in the shower but it was on and off. mostly off. Ask for acknowledgement receipt for tour security deposit or if any other payment especially if it was paid by cash. The front desk staff tends to forget. Also there is 1k payment for extra bed. but we found out there is payment for extra bed and another separate payment for extra person. 500 for extra bed and 500 for the person using the extra bed. I don't quite understand the logic though. but we paid anyway. breakfast was not included. their restaurant was closed since pandemic. the next door restaurant was open but takes 1 hour to prepare the food. better set expectations. hotel has beach front access.. the beach has soft creamy sand. would have been nice if we were able to swim. it was very cold though and rainy during this time. the waves were big.

Our overall experience was really BAD. - Did not plan to return our deposit – If we didn’t repeatedly follow-up, our deposit will not refunded. - No sales invoice provided – We were not given a proper invoice, which is unacceptable for any business transaction. (No BIR) - Inaccurate receipt – The receipt given had different details and amounts than what was actually paid by the customer. - Terrible customer service – Staff were consistently rude and dismissive. It felt like we were being ignored entirely. - Unprofessional management – When trying to raise our concerns with Manager Lisa, she repeatedly dropped the call. - Rude behavior throughout – The receptionist and other staff showed unprofessional and disrespectful attitudes during our entire stay. - Expensive lodging - There are no complimentary items, no free water or breakfast (our group based this on our other lodging)

No complimentary water or toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap were provided. Staff were not accommodating and lacked warmth in their service. The air conditioning was weak and struggled to cool the room. Additionally, the window had no curtain, compromising privacy as the interior could be seen from outside.
