Absolutely fantastic! Friendly owner and happy staff. Relaxed atmosphere and clean, cosy rooms. Nice beach and a good pool with a small bar area. The food was delicious at the resort and on the boat. Our 1-night liveboard was a beautiful experience. We had some of the best diving and snorkeling we've ever had. There weren't too many other boats around so it was calm all the time. The corral was healthy and the fish aplenty. Now we're looking forward to the first opportunity to come back to relax and enjoy the sea.

I cannot speak highly enough of Apo Reef Club. This is a first class dive resort experience. First of all, the resort itself is lovely. Located on what feels like a private beach, with a beautiful pool and dining area. The food is fantastic, and the service is spectacular. I stayed in the backpacker room, which was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the budget traveler. Next, the trip to Apo Reef was very well-run and the diving was really special. The boat was also clean and comfortable, with a friendly crew and quality dive masters. Finally, the hospitality. Michael and Mary (owners) go well above and beyond to give you the best experience possible. When I arrived as a solo traveler, they got everyone together to eat a family style dinner with me. When Cebu Pacific cancelled our flight from San Jose to Manila, Michael and his team organized alternate transport for every guest at the resort (over 15 people!). Simply amazing. I’ll definitely be back, hopefully soon!

Maybe 3 years ago it was nice but as of now .. the room smells moldy.. they had no bottle of water, no food on hand.. there's no restaurant nearby, they don't have restaurant also to offer too .. the pool was out of service.. beach had clutter.. we paid for one night but we didn't stay...even we planned to stay for 3 nights there.. the stuffs were friendly So sad they still accepting guess or tourist that they don't have to offer good... Imagine we talked to them on the phone but they never mentioned to bring food because they don't have restaurant. We were tired and hungry from travel early morning like 6am to catched our flight, arrived there no food on hand.. stuff said they can cooked for us but before that they have to go first at the market ..

We stayed one week at the Apo Reef Club for the open water certificate and a diving trip to the reef. They welcomed us with open arms and a fresh coconut. The Beach Bungalow is really comfortable with nice decoration, a big bed and a clean bathroom. The beach is just a few steps away and you can see that they're taking really good care of the whole resort. The food is just delicious and the staff absolutely friendly and helpful. There isnt much to do around the resort (like shops,...) but that wasn't important for us at all and we enjoyed the time just with diving, eating, sleeping and drinking coconuts, which were freshly picked of the palm tree. Most important: the diving. It wasn't easy with me (a bit scared of the deepth) but they were really understanding and helped me with repeating the exersices, like taking of the mask under water, as much as I needed it for feeling safe. The two day trip to the reef was just amazing. We slept on a boat and seven dives in two days were possible. They showed us different beautiful spots with tons of fishes - we even saw turtels and sharks as well as a school of baracudas and humphead parrotfishes. Words cant describe the experience of swimming with turtels - I'm so grateful that they convinced me that I'm not just the snorkelling type. Thank you so much for this awesome adventure and your hospitality, Michael&Team!

The diving itself at Apo Reef is a beautiful, well preserved, hard coral reef. Bring lights to get the most cooler from the reef since many of your dives are below 15m. Both our Dive Masters, Glen and Marian were excellent, we found them to be knowledgeable marine life guides and very respectful to the marine life present (and would tell people that harassed the marine life to stop is necessary). There are two reasons we knocked off two stars in this review: 1. The dive boat went out on an engine that needed repair, this was a potentially dangerous situation because there was no motorized boat that could fit all persons aboard. There is strong currents and unpredictable weather and a row boat can not assist in these types of situations. 2. We were charged per person for our ocean front bungalow when we expected to be charged per room ($300 Canadian for two nights for two people) We found this is be very expensive, even after the food that was included. The pictures of the bungalow are accurate on the app reef website, so what you see if definitely what you get. The air con worked fine although the hot shower was on and off due to the power surges (very common in the Philippines). We were told that the pricing for the room is clearly aided out on the website after we were shocked about being charged double what we expected for our bungalow. We went online, both on our iPhones and laptop and as of right now (Oct.24, 2017) the pricing for the rooms is NOT clearly laid out- so beware! Get an email confirmation about the cost! They told us that they sent us a text confirming the amount we would pay, however we never received a text from them and found it strange that they did not try to confirm with us that we received such a text. The food was good as well was the service.

The best place where you can experience perfect relaxation, learn to scuba dive, eat while in the banca, location where you can spend summer season and many more to see. Take a trip.

Love this place 1km beach and no people. Hard times for tourism but amazing for the lucky few who can still get here
