The ticket price includes both the forest and museum for a same day visit, so leave time for both if you like.
When we visited in November the signs were being renovated so there were no on-site descriptions of what we were observing. However, we have visited before and it is still an impressive display of in situ petrified trees. The park is being upgraded significantly and there is another section just outside the village of Sigri on the sea. It is on the far side of the public beach. During summer it can be quite hot, so bring water and take advantage of the pergolas for shady rest. The views of the hills are expansive and we love hearing the distant tinkling of sheep's bells. It's quite serene and, for us, relaxing. Part of the path has stairs and part of it is without stairs. WC on site. I took off one star for lack of signage or any offer of information about the park on this visit. Usually I would give it five stars.
