A step back in time to a slower pace of life in Fort de France. The views are incredible of the city, Fort de France bay, and Les Trois-Îlets. The pool is a great place to hang out in the afternoons: it is large, warm and clean; plenty of shade around the pool supplied by enormous umbrellas. You are greeted "welcome home" when you arrive, and it does feel like home. The villa is centrally located in the upscale section of the city with many gourmet shops and restaurants nearby in Cluny – you don't have to brave the highway or city center if you don't want to. As with everywhere in Martinique a car is essential. The on-site dinner (have to pre-order your meal) is very good, as is the included breakfast with made-to-order eggs. A note for English speakers: the staff is completely fluent in English. Very convenient.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. The view alone is worth staying for. Really quiet and safe area. Nice spacious rooms. Continental breakfast was excellent and Lana was fantastic at finding us taxis and places to eat. Thank you!

My fiancé and I recently stayed at Apolline, and our time there was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in to our final hour at the hotel, we were treated like royalty. Upon arrival, Deborah gave us a warm and welcoming greeting, getting us acquainted with the property and all the amenities available. We stayed in the suite with the private pool, and it was incredibly luxurious, complete with an outdoor shower, lounge area, dining table and so much more. The hotel itself is nestled in a stunning location in the heart of Fort-de-France, overlooking the city, with easy access to great dining and activities just a short drive away. All of the staff we met were kind and accommodating, always quick to assist us whenever we had a request or needed a recommendation — even going above and beyond to help us find a specific dish we wanted to try before leaving Martinique. Apolline is a true slice of heaven — peaceful, safe, serene, beautiful and idyllic. We can't wait to go back upon our next visit to Martinique!

In this establishment you're asked to feel like you were at home - and you will! That is, if your home is a dark place where you're expected to do everything yourself (like lugging your bags to your room, moving place settings at breakfast or go get the cushions for the lawn chairs), where people are super annoyed if you intrude into their daily routine simply by existing in their space, where whether you'll be greeted or ignored is mood-dependent, where you communication is strictly used to ensure a smooth day for the head of the household and the comfort of the guest isn't a priority. We had booked a junior suite with a garden view here and were given a room without windows. We had to consider ourselves lucky to be able to change after two nights in this nightmare. The manager promised us to have our luggage moved during the day. Well, that didn't happen. The mansion itself is beautiful and breakfast is nice if you exclude the fact that every single day the table was set with only almost clean plates. The interactions with the staff varied between weird and unpleasant - there's certainly no sense of hospitality found here. The experience was very disappointing and we won't recommend this place.

This property has a stunning view of downtown. Day or night, you could just sit and enjoy it. The hotel also has quite an attractive facade when you drive in.||The room was clean with the amenities and AC, which was good since the doors and windows had traditional slates (jalousies).|Just make sure to request a mosquito net for your bed if possible. The mosquitoes were a nuisance in the evenings.||The staff were really friendly and helpful considering my limited French. I appreciated their assistance.||The hotel main lobby areas are in need of a refresh though. It is a beautiful property, but the furniture now needs to be updated or refurbished because for me, that was a letdown staying here. The other area that needs some help is the meals. I had breakfast and dinner, but they were ok. Breakfast was basic, although adequate portions. For the price of dinner, again, just a basic ok experience.||You should rent a car if you stay here because in less than 10 minutes driving you can find restaurants, stores, pharmacies. Easy to navigate with GPS.||Overall, it's a beautiful location.

We had only one night on Martinique and selected this hotel with little data. It was sublime. The location, the service, the quiet. Martininque had been having some problems so we intended to just stay at the hotel and it was absolutely perfect. There are five suites and one double room. It’s a beautiful and perfect place for a group or fewer to escape and relax. It’s not on the beach, nor is it in center of town so some things are easier to reach with cabs. A walk to town would be hot and hilly and likely sometimes uncomfortable.

After 2 terrible stays in Fort-de-France, a friend recommended we stay at Apolline. As soon as we arrived the stress of the previous bad bookings completely melted away as we drove into the beautiful old Caribbean style gardens. We were greeted with smiles and top notch warm hospitality by Philippe and Peter, who really went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had and felt like family right away, which is exactly how a boutique style hotel should feel. The gardens and property are beautiful, the view over the infinity pool over looking the harbor and city are breathtaking, and the rooms extremely comfortable. We will definitely come back to Martinique if not only for the Apolline. X

Absolutely loved my stay here! The hotel is stunning and so was the room, we booked the room with the private pool. The customer service was incredible and everyone was so kind. Not a single person made fun of our terrible french (at least not to our faces). ||Pro's: great location, walkable to some great restaurants, amazing view, comfortable bed, really good quality bath products, and incredible customer service. ||Con's: If you are coming to explore just downtown fort-de-france, this location might not be ideal for you. I could not get in touch with them using email, but we had no issues at all. I've seen folks complain about the breakfast, but it's really good given the standard breakfast I've seen at most places. It's not noteworthy, but it's solid.
