Apollo Bay Fishermen's Co-Op

One of the best fish and chips shop ever. If you’re a seafood lover, it’s a sin to miss this spot. On my way back to Melbourne, took a stopover at Apollo Bay and going by the reviews; we took a halt here to eat some seafood. It did not disappoint at all. Amazing food ! Must visit.

The food was amazing as expected, we had the 1/2 Lobster and seafood platter for 2.... my only suggestion for improvement would be: - Create a nice out door dining experience to match the food eg, a level floor and enclosed dining area to exclude the seagulls and costal wind etc and upgrade the tables and chairs to match the food prices. - Update you Menu prices to include GST prices so they don't look cheaper than the final bill. I will definitely give you a shout out for fresh seafood that was delicious, in an amazing location and you were willing to switch salads at no additional costs. But I think if you want to excel in seafood and custom service, the dining area needs to suggest that some of the profits are being reinvested into the dinning experience. P.s. the Lobster was borderline undercooked and the scallops were all of a medium size. - Fish was delicious, Prawns were thick and tasty, oysters were excellent and the calamari was amazing.

When doing the Great Ocean Road, most definitely plan this place as your lunch stop. The seafood cannot be more fresh, as it is literally from sea to your plate. The fisherman platter is a great way to try most of the things on the menu. So delicious!

Great fish and chips in Apollo Bay! We tried the fish and chips here, and the fish was actually fried shark — not bad at all, especially considering this is one of the few places where you can try it! The meal was very cheap and surprisingly good. Highly recommended if you’re around Apollo Bay and looking for a quick, tasty lunch.

Menu price for fish n chips 32$ I ordered 2 portions they wanna charge 71$ I did complain the Chinese woman said surcharge. I asked for what? Normal in Australia she meant. Taste is very ordinary. Never again. So far from that old place where everything was fresh and fairly priced. But I guess this is Apollo bay today pay through the nose. Never again .

Super fresh seafoods. Must come when you visit Apollo Bay. The calamari watermelon salad is divine. Oysters are heavenly fresh & tasty. Lobstrers depend on the day.

Such delicious and fresh seafood !!! Always feel happy supporting the local Co-Op. Such a lovely spot to sit when the suns out. Everything on the menu is a treat, portion sizes are great. Amazing for sharing or single meals.

Apollo Bay Fishermen’s Co-op is one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve ever visited. The fish was incredibly fresh, with a light, crispy, and flavorful batter that made every bite satisfying. While the chips weren’t particularly special, they were still tasty and well-cooked. The garden salad was fresh and a great complement to the meal, and the oysters were exceptionally fresh and delicious. You order inside the shop and wait for your number to be called—simple and efficient. The staff were friendly, and the relaxed, seaside atmosphere added to the experience. A must-visit when in Apollo Bay.
