Apollo Bay Fishermen’s Co-op is one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve ever visited. The fish was incredibly fresh, with a light, crispy, and flavorful batter that made every bite satisfying. While the chips weren’t particularly special, they were still tasty and well-cooked. The garden salad was fresh and a great complement to the meal, and the oysters were exceptionally fresh and delicious. You order inside the shop and wait for your number to be called—simple and efficient. The staff were friendly, and the relaxed, seaside atmosphere added to the experience. A must-visit when in Apollo Bay.

My cousin and I were doing a road trip from MEL to port Campbell on the great ocean road and she kept saying I had to wait to try this place (I love fish and chips so wanted to have some in another place), and I have to say - these are the BEST fish n chips I’ve ever had! Lightly breaded, fish was so fresh and the chips were crispy. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

This seafood bar on Apollo Boy is one of the most visited, and we ordered the seafood platter for two, grilled red snapper, and a la carte calamari. The food is decent for the price, but the calamari and grilled fish are better than the fish and chips. You get a nice view for lunch, and the public toilet is just a short walk away.

The seafood here are superb fresh especially the lobster is succulent and tender, with a sweet, briny flavor that melts in your mouth. The seatings are all outdoor but great atmosphere and as we came on weekdays , we didn’t have to wait too long to get our food .

The calamari was well cleaned, and the grilled fish in the burger was tasty. However, the lobster - the dish featured in the restaurant’s logo - was unfortunately burnt and very dry, lacking in flavor. Overall, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Stopped in for lunch while driving the Great Ocean Road. Got the seafood platter for 2 + 2 extra pieces of fish to share among 3 adults and 2 kids. Portion wise worked out pretty well for us but I was underwhelmed by the fish and the batter so as far as fish and chips goes this was nothing too special. The rest of the seafood in the plaster was better. You get nice views of the bay from the seats which were all outdoors. We did get a bit wet from the passing showers, so get a table that's actually under the building awnings if you want better weather protection. Didn't particularly feel welcomed when ordering - the server wasn't rude or anything just came across rather disinterested. Anyways the main thing was we got fed and fuelled up for the rest of our drive.

(Surprisingly, not every seafood restaurant gets this right.) Despite the long line, the service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere had a lively, casual vibe, and the seaside view made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re after quality seafood with a great setting!

We came here at the recommendation of a local lady at Cape Otway Lighthouse and the place didn't disappoint. Amazing seafood platter for 1 or 2. Great oysters and the view at the fishing boats was so beautiful. Great place to eat and chill in Apollo Bay
