Apollo Bay Holiday Park

Walking distance to town was great. Park was clean but you had to pay extra for everything. You had to pay for the bbq, pay for the heater which only lasted 30 minutes. We went to watch a movie in the games room but there was no remote for the TV. When we asked about it the man was rude. When we were discussing how we were going to park the man yelled out that he's been there 20 years just park the way he said. Big 4 might be the better option.

Ladies showers were clean but hot water temp not that hot, could be hotter. $1 coin to use their bbq and also $1 to use the gas heater which lasted 30 minutes. No oven just a stove. No boom gate so be sure to lock or pack away valuables.

Beware- false advertising on site. Booked a superior cabin which is advertised to sleep 6 and have a queen bed in the main bedroom. When arrived the cabin slept 4 and had a double bed in main room. When I brought this up I was told it was because I booked through booking.com - which I didn't. I booked directly through their website. The excuse given was that two of the superior cabins are like this...which is not what I booked or what it states on the website. Gave two stars as I was able to get a full refund without any issues. Just caused a lot of stress trying to find a better cabin on a busy long weekend.

Close enough to town and the beach, but we found a few maintenance issues with our cabin, and it's stingy when it comes to little extras we are used to getting in other caravan parks. Things like shampoo, conditioner, decent water jug, and sufficient coffee for our stay don't exist here.

We had a spa cabin and were SO happy with how spacious and clean it was. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Our best stay so far on the Great Ocean Road, (after a couple of mediocre ones).

Clean park, very expensive. We requested a tree free site when we booked. Arrived a week later to be given a site that should be, in my opinion, for motorhomes and had a tree over it. When I advised it was unsuitable, I was told to Take it or Leave It. I asked where would I park my car and was told not to put it on grass and it is to go on the road in front of the van. Which is the only road in and out on that side. After parking, I wandered through the park to discover plenty of van parks available behind the amenities block.

In particular, the lady who assisted us during check-in was exceptionally friendly and made the process smooth and stress-free. The service we received was truly commendable and added to the positive experience. 4. Nearby Attractions The Apollo Bay Beach, located just a short distance away, is undoubtedly one of the major highlights of this location. The beach is stunning, offering plenty of opportunities to relax and soak in the beauty of the coast. It’s a place where you could easily spend hours and still feel like it’s not enough. 5. Park grounds absolutely spotless and very well maintained with a really welcoming feel. There was a mix up in our cabin that caught us off guard, however, Bruce was absolutely outstanding in rectifying the situation seamlessly. We had the best time! The amenities are great, the games room was retro ( next time we’ll bring more coins) 🤣 Laundry well fitted out. Communal shower blocks clean and tidy. General ambiance was relaxed and fun.
