Apollo Bay Holiday Park

Had a lovely stay at the park, very clean and upkeep spotless. Had a cabin opposite the pool although we didn't use it because it was winter. The shower cubicles were fantastic. The cabin had everything you could want. Had a great stay.

Walking distance to town was great. Park was clean but you had to pay extra for everything. You had to pay for the bbq, pay for the heater which only lasted 30 minutes. We went to watch a movie in the games room but there was no remote for the TV. When we asked about it the man was rude. When we were discussing how we were going to park the man yelled out that he's been there 20 years just park the way he said. Big 4 might be the better option.

Great spot to stay in, all the facilities are kept very clean, plus it's so close to the beaches and town centre. Staff were also very helpful. Worth the visit

Beware- false advertising on site. Booked a superior cabin which is advertised to sleep 6 and have a queen bed in the main bedroom. When arrived the cabin slept 4 and had a double bed in main room. When I brought this up I was told it was because I booked through booking.com - which I didn't. I booked directly through their website. The excuse given was that two of the superior cabins are like this...which is not what I booked or what it states on the website. Gave two stars as I was able to get a full refund without any issues. Just caused a lot of stress trying to find a better cabin on a busy long weekend.

Nice, very clean park, good sites lovely camp kitchen, just disappointed that you had to pay for heating and BBQ within this facility. Would expect that cooking and heating facilities would be included in site fees as per the norm.

Ladies showers were clean but hot water temp not that hot, could be hotter. $1 coin to use their bbq and also $1 to use the gas heater which lasted 30 minutes. No oven just a stove. No boom gate so be sure to lock or pack away valuables.

Clean park, very expensive. We requested a tree free site when we booked. Arrived a week later to be given a site that should be, in my opinion, for motorhomes and had a tree over it. When I advised it was unsuitable, I was told to Take it or Leave It. I asked where would I park my car and was told not to put it on grass and it is to go on the road in front of the van. Which is the only road in and out on that side. After parking, I wandered through the park to discover plenty of van parks available behind the amenities block.

12 out of 10 shout out for Jenny .. I called to cancel our van site booking when let down by the person we were hiring from .. our trip on The Great Ocean Road was in tatters .. Jenny took my call .. she was so sympathetic and went straight into problem solve mode .. immediately offering suggestions and alternatives.. we eventually settled on the beaut deluxe ocean view cabin .. Jenny was there to welcome us on arrival and all the stress dissipated .. she even gave us marshmallows and sticks for toasting! Gold medal Jenny and all our gratitude! Cheryl and Alan
