absolutely love this place so i figured id write a review! the staff was very friendly & welcoming & Nicki the bartender was amazing per usual. very attentive and efficient, providing great customer service to bar guests while also preparing drinks for the rest of the restaurant. i got the martini flight & each was amazing, my personal favorite was the basil cucumber martini! i got the calamari & it was perfectly breaded & fried. and of course i had to go with the short rib melt & it was delicious per usual. the experience was great & i highly recommend it for anyone in the area!

Apollo Grill is an American restaurant located on W Broad St. in Bethlehem. They are open Tue - Sat 11AM - 10PM. The menu offers soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, dinner entrees, and an array of mouthwatering appetizers. On my latest visit, my friend and I shared two appetizers and two sandwiches. We started with the truffled scallops and fried calamari. The calamari wasn't fried long enough, but the scallops were delicious. They were pan seared and accompanied by truffle cream sauce, roasted mushrooms, arugula, and pomegranate seeds. The sandwiches we split were the short rib melt and buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. We enjoyed them both. The short rib comes with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli, and arugula. The fried chicken sandwich comes with BBQ sauce, coleslaw, and pickled red onion. All sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle. Service was excellent. We were greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we walked through the door, and our server Georgia was personable and accommodating. Apollo has indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery.

We ordered take out. Everything was delicious. Large portions and made well. The short rib melt was fresh and cooked right. The linguine with clams was extremely flavorful, they did not scrimp on the clams. The desserts are delicious as well.

So overall, it was a great experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a nice time. We wanted to enjoy the day, so we sat outside. The inside was a dim setting and candlelit. Very nice for a romantic date night. And they had a light and southing aroma floading in the air that was welcoming. Since I dont drink alcohol (by choice), I ordered a moctail peach refresher. That was very good. I was worried about the unsweetened iced tea, but you didn't even notice it. My wife ordered the crab and asparagus bisque. She says it was good and warm. She said it was more creamy and less seafood flavored that she was expecting. But overall, it was good. She then ordered the Quinoa Salad with added Blackened Shrimp. She says, "That was good! And the blackened shrimp wad flavorful" I ordered the appetizer Lump Crab Macaroni and Cheese. While it was a good flavor, I really missed the lump crab. I didn't see it or taste it. There was no seafood flavor, but the mac and cheese was good. If you're looking for a good baked Mac n cheese, this isn't it. This was more in a rue and then placed in the broiler. It was filling and delicious. Then I ordered a pizza. They had a special pizza that they were doing today, and it was mishroom, garlic, spinach with sautéed onions on top of a white sause. WOW! That was very tasty. While I was probably looking for a red sause at the time, this was really delicious. The crust was crispy on the bottom and soft on the top. And none of the ingredients overpowered the other. It's a nice balanced pizza overall. So as far as price, for the two of us we spent close to $85. I would say it was worth the cost.bI dont feel as if I overpaid. We went for lunch/dinner, so once you add the tip, we paid what I would normally pay for dinner. I know we could have gone somewhere and paid 1/2 of that price, but I dont know if we would have gotten the same experience.

Google
I absolutely love coming to Apollo Grill! The service here is consistently top-notch, with the staff always being friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a special night out. But what really keeps me coming back is the food and drinks. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, and their drink selection is fantastic. Whether it’s a signature cocktail or a seasonal special, I always leave satisfied. The combination of excellent service, great ambiance, and mouthwatering food & drinks makes Apollo Grill my go-to place every time. Highly recommend!

This is one of my fave local places. The menu is always full of delicious choices. Great cocktail and mocktail list. We ate dinner here before a show at the Wind Creek

Google
I had a mediocre experience here. The food and service were good. My primary concern is that I was told by service that the crab cakes were a mix of lump and shredded crab, but there would be some lump crab in the cakes due to the process they used to prepare them. When I received my crab cakes I found no evidence of any lump meat at all in either cake. They were good and I had eaten them so I paid. I had an expectation set that they would contain lump and clearly as you can see in the photo of the second they do not. This was the first time I ate here and it may be the last. There are many other restaurants in downtown Bethlehem.

Yelp
Great find and 5 stars. Second time out to Easton Pennsylvania. This restaurant was highly recommended and it met expectation. Our server Adrienne was AWESOME! very personable, made great recommendations and did not rush us. Actually all of the staff we interacted with and observed interactions with other customers were really friendly. The restaurant is extremely well run, they are constantly cleaning, vacuuming under the tables, and sanitizing the tables. We started with the scallop appetizer, lump crabmeat mac n cheese, and a special tomato based bean and chic pea soup. For mains we had three of the lunch specials. The ahi Tuna with rice and grilled asparagus, the salmon with citrus lime rice and also had grilled asparagus. We also had the grilled beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes. All of the food was exceptional. Great taste, well presented and the perfect temperature. For desert we had the Mexican chocolate and peanut butter cake, soft center chocolate cake and the cheesecake special with a creme brûlée topping. The deserts were great as well. They have al it of assorted art paintings that I believe most of that are for sale. (See my photos). The restaurant is busy and very popular. I highly recommend them and I have one friend who will be stopping in on their business trips in February to Easton. I will be beck again.

Yelp
-Drinks were reasonably priced and decent 7/10 -Food was amazing, w/ the Pork Chop being out of the world best I've had. Cooked medium well, tender, and juicy. 11/10 -Beet salad was so fresh and a flavor bomb. 9/10 -The cod was good but nothing special 7/10 -Every other dish hit the spot! 8-9/10 -Great service giving us amazing insight into each dish with great specificity 10/10 -Really classy feel with unique decor

Yelp
Although I'm not the biggest fan of American food, we were in the area so decided to check out Apollo Grill. The lump crab macaroni & cheese and the calamari were delicious! The cavatelli pasta was also top tier! I would suggest you steer clear of the Clams Casino (weird taste to them) and the Apollo Burger. The goat cheese on the burger was not the best and it just wasn't anything special. I only ate 1/3 of it. We ended our dinner with dessert and I would highly recommend their Soft Center Chocolate Cake! Delicious. We also had the warm pound cake which wasn't my favorite because the strawberry syrup tasted too artificial. However, the rest of the table enjoyed it!

Yelp
I hadn't been here for dinner in a few years and I remembered I really liked it here so I decided to return. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. We were seated in a nice table and our waitress brought water and took our drink order. She brought our drinks, which were nicely crafted, and I ordered some crab & asparagus soup. The soup was tasty, but could have been hotter. I then ordered some Ahi tuna for my entree. The waitress removed my soup bowl and the bread plates that were on table. I asked her if there was any bread and she told me no. I told her I was surprised. Why do you have bread plates on the table if you don't have bread? Made no sense? The entree came and was also delicious. I plan on returning soon but I'll bring my own bread.

Yelp
So happy to have found this restaurant while visiting from out of town. Everything, food, service, ambiance, were impeccable. It did seem a bit loud when we entered, but we asked to sit in a quieter corner and it worked out very well.

Yelp
Apollo Grill was such a pleasant surprise during my recent work trip to Bethlehem as it was the first restaurant I tried out in Pennsylvania that was actually packed and bustling which I took as a good sign since it seemed like a lot of locals were here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is dimly lit and even though it's busy, it's not hard to hear your table talking which is a big plus in my opinion. My pet peeve is when a restaurant has poor insulation and you could barely hold a conversation and I did not have this issue at Apollo at all. The menu was so broad that it honestly took us about half an hour to finally figure out what we wanted to order but I'd say we were pretty satisfied with our selection. **Black and Bleu Tenderloin - Flavors were great but this is a HEAVY dish and I reccomend sharing. It could be salty to some so keep that in mind. **Nachos - these nachos were supersized and I wish these came out first because we would have changed our attack plan because it was a shame that we had to take it home and eat it soggy later that night. **Burrata - Our group's personal favorite of the night. The light and fresh buratta paired with that aged balsamic and bacon/crispy prosciutto was divine. We could have put down 5 more of these each. A MUST TRY dish! **Baked Brie en Croute - This felt like a very elevated cheese and crackers meal and was oh so comforting. It honestly reminded me of a deconstructed apple pie in a weird way when you eat the cracker with the baked brie, thinly sliced green apple, and caramel. **Farfalle w/ Chicken - Nothing much to say other than it was a solid pasta dish with great textures. Adding chicken to this dish was such a great move in my opinion. **Catch of the Day - I was too full to try the fish but the hush puppies that it came with was solid! **Lettuce Wraps - Our group's least favorite dish and we wouldn't order this again. It's not bad but the meat just seemed like a very bad bulgolgi instead of beef short ribs. There was no wow factor to these either. Overall, Apollo is a great place to grab dinner with a group of friends and the menu is so vast that you honestly can't go wrong. If I ever make another trip out to Bethlehem, Apollo is a definite revisit for me!

Yelp
If I lived here, this would be my spot! The staff knew their regulars by name and drink! We don't live here but they had good reviews so.... The wait: All of the tables were reserved. We had to give the bartenders our name and when seats opened up, the next person on the list was seated. Very good system. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. The food and drink: Old fashioned and Hot Toddy: 5/5 Nachos: They were so good. The tortillas were crispy and thick. They were able to handle the toppings. It was huge!!! Two people can't finish this unless this is your only meal. It didn't have jalapenos and the guacamole was just okay. However, it's still a solid 4.5/5 Wings: The bartender said she liked the wings mixed with buffalo and honey garlic (I think) so tried them. Delicious. The chicken was cooked nicely then tossed in the sauce. 5/5 Crab cakes: All Crab! Barely any filling. The potatoes and green beans were excellent. My GF said it was excellent. I don't eat crab so I'll take her word for it. 5/5 She also ordered bread pudding which she hasn't tasted yet but she said she is sure it's going to be good. The bill was $114. It was worth every penny

Yelp
Passing thru Bethlehem on our way somewhere else and stopped here for lunch. My wife had been here once before. Downtown Bethlehem is actually a really cool little town. I definitely recommend coming here to stroll the small shops and stores and grabbing a bite while here. The ambiance at the Apollo is modern and casual but super inviting. Especially the bar. Great vibe. Menu was unique and very creative. It was only one page but a great great selection of offerings. One of those menus where every item I perused I said " Ooo I want that". Toughest part was deciding what to get. Speaking of creative, they rolled out a fall martini flight . 3 small martinis hanging from a martini glass tree. We didn't get it but major props for creativity. I got the Thai chicken wrap. Very good. We had beef carpaccio appie. Wings. Everything was really really good. The food here is obviously plus plus so I won't go on about it. The staff was up beat, friendly and high energy. The staff enjoyed working here and you could tell as good vibes permeated the atmosphere. I can't wait to come back for dinner. Make the trip to Apollo in Bethlehem for the great town scene and very good eats. Based on my experience here, I'd have to rate them a 5.

Yelp
The best in the area!! From their food to their staff. Date nights, anniversaries and birthdays are always celebrated here! We won't go anywhere else.

Yelp
This was another yelp find and we were really happy with our experience. The food was really good overall, the service was very friendly and personable and we really enjoyed our visit. My husband wanted to order a soup and was chatting with the waitress about the options. He was thinking of the cream of potato but upon the waitress' and a fellow nearby diner's recommendation switched to the french onion and was very pleased. I also was blown away, I don't generally enjoy french onion soup, except for the cheese, but this was delicious. I don't usually love the soggy bread but they must use a thick fresh crusty slice because it had a slight crunch to it and was tasty. The cheese as always was delicious and the broth was thick and full of onions. It really was the best i've tasted. My husband and I chose to share 2 sandwiches. He ordered the spare rib sandwich and I the brisket. The spare rib was noticably the better of the 2, melt in your mouth meat, and good flavor on a perfectly toasted slice of bread. The brisket was good, and had good flavoring, unfortunately it was very fatty which ruined it a bit. We were there for an early dinner and unfortunately there dinner menu items weren't available, but we heard good things from nearby customers about their seafood and dinner options. Overall though we enjoyed our experience and would definitely be up for stopping back again next time in the area.

Yelp
Great local bar/restaurant. Huge menu that accommodates whatever you're in the mood for. Love the bar service!

Yelp
Always great food; great service; comfortable seating; wonderful ambiance. Can't wait to return. Love the Chilled Udon salad with seared ahi tuna. Large enough portion for me as an entree, especially since it included edamame and a nice amount of tuna. I asked for the sauce on the side and it worked well. The sauce includes soy sauce so it's somewhat salty.

Yelp
Loved my lunch stop in downtown Bethlehem. I dined on the sidewalk on a perfect weather Thursday afternoon. My server was excellent. They have an interesting menu & their oysters on the half shell & craft cocktail selection is what made me stop here. I had 6 delicious pacific oysters, they make their own mignonette. I had the ahi tuna poke bowl appetizer (definitely large enough for lunch for one or app for two) & my server suggested I add avocado which was perfect. I had their gin and tonic, which was delicious, because it had elderflower liquor in it, and a sprig of rosemary. Recommend this place.

Yelp
Great food and service. Friendly staff all at a reasonable prices. Unrushed atmosphere

Yelp
Just popped into this restaurant for dinner around 6:30pm and it was packed. Hostess asked if we had reservations (did not) and gave us choice, wait outside, wait at the bar OR take a table by the kitchen door. We chose the table near the kitchen door. This was my second visit to this restaurant and it will not be my last. Ambience was superb. Food was great and the service was extraordinary. Glad we were given the choice for the table, but we probably still would have waited.
google avatar

Yelp
Food isn't good for the price you pay. I also need a liquid to swallow and the waitress never came back except to bring the check. Every year this place gets top prize and I don't know why. The Bay Leaf was the best but few went there because it was in Allentown. Pass this place.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
This place was absolutely packed on the Friday night I visited. Nice atmosphere, but they make use of every inch of the dining room. Because they were so busy, the service wasn't great. And the halibut I ordered didn't blow me away as it was a bit on the dry side. Next time, I will try to come on a less busy evening and maybe I will enjoy it more?
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Long time huge fan of Apollo. Food is always great, drinks fabulous will always customize what you want. Catch of the day fish are always to die for. However, service occasionally , like last night, seems as though wait people get too many tables at once. Sometimes tend to overly cater to larger groups than 2. Once finished our fill, waited 25 to 30 minutes to get attention to just get our food wrapped up. Wanted dessert but was too annoyed to stay longer.
google avatar

Darlene Y.

Yelp
Came for a late lunch with some colleagues and it was a bit empty, mostly because it was very late for lunch. I just had a CAESAR SALAD, but for the table we ordered the BAKED BRIE EN CROUTE and the GRILLED BURRATA TOAST which is always nice to share. Service was lovely and the food was good. ENJOY!
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
Great spot. It's a little spotty when it comes to service but I will say that you should sit at the bar in the early lunch bc then it's not too busy and the people working are USUALLY friendly. I really enjoy the food. The ambience is lacking to say the least. They have 'artwork' hanging everywhere that is SO overpriced and I am a freaking ARTIST. Like a real artist so when I say something is overpriced, it is. The food is good. That's why they get 3 stars. My humblest regards k.david

Dawn D.

Yelp
My husband, daughter and I visited the Apollo Grill on Saturday, September 21st. The food was delicious! (burrata app, Caesar salad, specialty pizza, fish of the day and cheese cake dessert) As good as the food was, the service was even better. It was extremely busy as it was a Saturday night and family weekend at a local university. We went in without reservations knowing we may not be able to be seated. The hostess was more than accommodating and was able to find us a table with very little wait time. Our waiter, Daniel, was fantastic - so friendly, adding a bit of humor and being there when we needed him without being overbearing. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Bethlehem.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Bethlehem. This time didn't disappoint!!! Yum I ordered lamb chops with mushroom risotto (delicious), and asparagus. Lots of food was ordered for the table... Nachos, shrimp Toast, crab and avocado in lime butter and we ended with pecan pie cheesecake!!! So flavorful!!! Until next time!!!

Yelp
One of my favorite casual spots in Bethlehem. Food, drinks, and service are always great and relatively affordable. They are very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you leave happy. Just about every time I've visited, they brought out something complimentary for us to "try". Not sure if it's just a coincidence it happened to me multiple times, or if they do it routinely. I've been here for brunch, lunch, and dinner and will most definitely be back plenty more times.

Yelp
Relaxed atmosphere! Superb dining! Quench your thirst with endless selections from the drink list. Service was excellent! Seems like everyone is involved c pleading the guests!

Yelp
Love their martinis! Love the atmosphere. food and service was also great. Definitely go early before it gets packed.

Yelp
Outside of the prices being slightly high, this is a great place. I got the cavatappi with veggies and a garlic cream sauce, which was delicious. My friend got the pizza and liked it a lot. I like that they decorate with and sell local artists' work. The service was just fine. If the prices were a little lower I could see myself coming here quite often.

Jake C.

Yelp
This food is simply not good. They have absolutely no business having butter chicken, Moroccan lamb, limoncello shrimp, and ahi tuna on the same menu. Please pick a lane!!! Shrimp was weird. Salad was so wet that the dressing got washed away. Lettuce wraps??? Why did I even order these?? They were so so so bad. Based on the ambiance of the place, the only entree I felt safe ordering was the burger and it was fine. Would rate the burger a 4.7/10. Chips that came with the burger was Herr's for sure. Do not go here Why have they not updated it in 40 years? Why do they serve those martini towers like it's 1994? :/
google avatar

Yelp
The waiter Allison was really nice, the pregnant lady that seat us told us since were a walk in that if we can eat in an hour she could seat us. We did feel a bit rush but the food and drinks were on point!

Yelp
Service outstanding and unusual menu options cheerful service convenient parking across street .

Yelp
We went for lunch, which was a bit of a wait without a reservation. The server was really friendly. Food was good for lunch! I'd like to come back and try different foods for dinner next time.

Yelp
Great place in downtown Bethlehem! Met a co-worker here for lunch & we enjoyed our meals. I got the beef carpaccio & he got a sandwich. Menu is extensive & it's easy to find something to enjoy. They have a couple of tables outside but not really appealing to sit out there. Parking was not too bad as there is a parking garage right around the corner.

Yelp
Checked out Bethlehem on a Friday night as my husband and I are new to the Lehigh Valley area. We parked at a nearby parking garage and made our way towards downtown Bethlehem. We decided to stop by Apollo Grill since the Yelp reviews were pretty high! Even though the restaurant was busy, we were seated right away. For drinks, we started off with the Strawberry Basil Lemonade martini and my husband ordered the Old Fashioned. The martini was delicious and not super strong. The Old Fashioned came with a surprise bacon on top. For entrees, we ordered the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna, Short Ribs, and Moroccan Braised Lamb Shank. The ahi tuna was absolutely amazing! The rice was sweet and the asparagus balanced out the meal so well. The radish could have been marinated in vinegar for a bit longer but the dish was still topnotch! The short ribs was probably one of the best short ribs I have ever had in my life. It was super tender and the cauliflower grits were sweet! The string beans had a hint of lemon so all the flavors of the dishes blended very well together. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the lamb. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. He had so much lamb that it was enjoyed as a second meal the next day. For dessert, we had their special mango rice pudding topped with whipped cream and coconut shavings. The mango was sour but the rice pudding was sweet. Also very nice balance. To top it off, the service here was excellent! I have absolutely enjoyed everything about this place and would hands down recommend to anyone coming into downtown Bethlehem!

Yelp
This place never disappoints!! I've had lunch and dinner here, and it's always great. Some of my faves are the Black & Blue Tenderloin, French Onion Soup, Chilled Asian Udon Noodle, and Cobb Salad. They have a great cocktail menu as well. Service has also always been fantastic. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
It's been quite awhile since I've had the pleasure of dining here, but the last time i was there the pumpkin soup was AMAZING!!

Yelp
Everyone working there was very friendly and fantastic. I had the lettuce roll the crab and asparagus brusque and rib tips sandwich. All were brilliant and sets a new standard for me

Yelp
Delicious lunch in Bethlehem! We got there right as they opened which is good since they filled up quickly. Next time we will make a reservation. The food was delicious and the servers and staff were friendly. There were several large parties going and everyone seemed to be happy and getting served quickly.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and friendly staff. The food was wonderful. My husband and I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I've traveled quite a bit and Apollo is by far the place my favorite restaurant. The food is incredible and the service is above all else. Bravo!
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
Not bad. One of the very few okay places to eat in the city of Bethlehem. Sadly, they don't take reservations online and who has time to make phone calls. I don't bother coming here because I don't have time to keep calling for reservations, and they are typically booked since they are one of the only restaurants in the town that are actually not too bad. The food was decent, but quite honestly NYC is so close I'd rather drive there because there are a million places like this or better where you don't have to make a phone call and wait three weeks for a table. I haven't been back.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Small, upscale restaurant with limited menu but all meals are superb. Worth making the reservation. Never heard a complaint from my family or friends.

Bryan C.

Yelp
I've been going to this restaurant since it opened and the food is always amazing ! The staff is awesome , kind , courteous and very professional! The lobster ravioli and black and blue are my favorites . The new menu item the pulled pork sandwich is out of this world!

Yelp
Spending a couple of nights the Historic District of Bethlehem, PA and every site has Apollo Grill as the best place to go.....well I can't argue, the consensus has it correct! Apollo has a diverse selection of specialty drinks, appetizers & small shareable pizzas that all seem better than the next! I loved the crab & asparagus bisque & my wife said the French Onion soup was THE BEST she ever had! Both of our entrees, braised short ribs & bbq lamb shank were fall onto the fork delicious!
