On a Saturday night on the first weekend in February, my girlfriend and I visited Apollo Grill for the first time — finally!
We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic.
What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible.
Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar.
I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more.
She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day.
I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor.
For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house.
We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.
