This motel suited our needs: it's very convenient to downtown Wellington, free off-street parking (available on first in, first served basis) and a clean and comfortable room. The motel is quite extensive, something of a labyrinth incorporating a number of buildings of varying ages and styles. We were in an unstairs room in the older Edwardian section facing Majoribanks Street. No lift so we had to drag bags up a couple of flights of stairs but not too onerous. Room was fine though limited places for luggage and 'kitchenette' on small side, with small fridge, microwave oven, some cutlery and crockery etc. Again, didn't worry us to much as we tended to rely on a few excellent cafes in the near neighbourhood. Bathroom was excellent. Would happily stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-organised units. Small wall heaters in the bedrooms keep you warm all night. The staff are always friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. This place is easy to get to, and parking is included in the price. A short walk—five minutes or less—and you're in the heart of Wellington, with plenty of restaurants just a short distance away. Lovely location, not too noisy, and there's a bus stop and a dairy about 100 meters up the road. The cleaners are a credit to this place. 👏

A very comfortable place to stay for a short break (4 nights) in Wellington. Clean, bright, well equipped and easy to park. We had a suite with one twin room and a queen bed in the main room with excellent cooking facilities and fridge iron and ironing board. There is a handy laundry for guests use $8NZD to wash and dry - powder provided. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Short walk to harbour side and Te Papa museum (5m), CBD and Cable Car (15m)

I had an amazing experience with this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to help me even after I had checked out, they kindly assisted me with sending my forgotten belongings to Auckland. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism truly touched me. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wellington. Thank you so much again and you deserve all the best!

Second stay at this property and have already booked again. Stayed in an apartment 1st time - excellent - Queen studio this time. Freshly renovated rooms, double glazed and warm, clean and well appointed. Super friendly staff. Great value for money in Heart of Wellington entertainment precinct.

We have recently stayed at Apollo Lodge Motel, and can not recommend them highly enough. I couldn't get the T.V. to operate, rang the office just to see what I was doing wrong and the man willingly came over and got it to work ( untechno me)🤣. The apartment was very clean and warm. The staff servicing the rooms were very friendly and nothing was a bother and rooms a credit to them. As we weren't going back home after checking out, I asked if we could leave car in parking lot and was willing to pay for it. The man in office said it wouldn't be a problem for a couple of hours. Apollo Lodge is our go to stay place when we visit Wellys which we will be doing in near future. Thanks Apollo Lodge Motel.

We loved the neighbourhood vibe the lovely Victorian wooden houses of Mt Vic, small interesting restaurants from around the world in close by Courtney Place- we chose South India. We got breakfast supplies from nearby New World and loved starting the day in our kitchenette everything here is fresh and perfectly serviced so cosy to come back to there are excellent cafes close by we had a sunny morning walk along the waterfront and Te Papa with its excellent shop of the most interesting souvenirs loved the Matariki stuff opposite Te Papa is 100 years of Disney exhibition you can catch a bus anywhere from Courtney Place but we had our car and parking here and took a very direct easy find route to the zoo for a memorable three hours! Fun fact you can hear a tiger roar from a Mile away, fun fact the Snow Leopard doesn’t live in the snow it is named for its beautiful snowy coat and is a most excellent climber but is the big cat that has no roar. Cool Cuba Street is also a walk away and the teenagers loved Ikoiko. Iconic Embassy cinema just around the corner! Thanks Apollo we loved it here and thank you Wellington ❤️

We booked this place solely because free parking was included (on Booking.com). However, when I mentioned that we needed a parking space, we were told that they couldn’t guarantee one—even though they had stated that every apartment had its own designated spot. When I asked if they could reserve the space in front of our apartment, the response was not only unhelpful but outright rude. They flatly refused and told us to go elsewhere if we didn’t like it. Not wanting to risk paying for several days of expensive street parking, we decided to cancel the booking. The customer service at this hotel definitely needs improvement—we were made to feel completely unwelcome!

Yelp
We always rent a 5 speed manual car on holiday, and decided to transfer car from N to S island via ferry Any seasoned traveler expects and experiences some problem solving Ferry crossing was delayed due to large storm, and we selected Apollo for one night Any port in a storm Met our needs and recommend

Yelp
My friend and I spent 3 nights at the Apollo Lodge and we were very pleased with our stay. Staff was pleasant, I believe it was a husband and wife team running the place. The location could not have been better, a 5 minute walk from the downtown area for food and drinks but on a quiet street. Then again, my bed was right by the window so I was woken up a few times by loud people walking by the street. We were in an A-Frame room, which looks like they all border the street. So noise could be an issue in this room type vs. the others. Our room also looked different from the online pictures which were of the upstairs rooms. I addressed this with the staff and they said they could not control which pictures were shown. A bit disappointing, but the room was the same layout nonetheless. The beds were not the most comfortable beds but they did just fine.

Yelp
I booked 'Apollo Lodge' through booking.com due to it's location (in Central Wellington) and the flexibility of people/guests they could accommodate. Three nights for a team of 3 actors, tech and director! The 1 bedroom apt with kitchenette was ample for our needs, just missing the hobs, as then we would have been ecstatic! So dining out every meal gets expensive, however it was only a short time. The bathroom had a high-powered shower and modern vanity unit with roomy drawers. The bedding was rather dated - however the bed/s were comfortable. The husband-and-wife team were friendly on our early check-in, offering maps and a place to store our luggage at 7.30am, or thereabouts! Just a few minutes walk to Courtney Place and Cuba Street, where the nightlife happens everyday of the week, to the early hours! Safe, homely, free parking, great housekeeping - what more could you want! I would go back, without hesitation. Oh, it's also affordable!
