Apollo Lodge Motel

Location is spot on for a walk into town for food options. Parking out the front of the door. We had multiple beds to choose from. Clean, neat, spacious, modern bathroom. Opportunity to wash the clothes. Staff super helpful with checking in and providing maps to the region. Lots of space to swing two cats 😆. Could do with a bigger fridge, a fridge freezer combo.

Close to the centre. Car parking. Very good apartment. Good kitchen and kitchen equipment. Easy to get to airport. Lovely walks just 600m up the road. If you are lord of rings/hobbit fan lots of film locations walking distance. WiFi speed a bit poor

Great spot close to town. Great service, quick and simple. Very clean room, and a really good size. Great value for money. Will definitely stay there again and tell others too

Our room was in the middle of the complex which was okay and we had a parking spot. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water and good pressure. |A 6 minute walk to a grocery store and 10-15 minutes to numerous restaurants.|Overall an okay stay.

We came in late off the ferry this motel was very accommodating for late check in, They turned the heater on for us and left the outside light on. Yvette was very helpful with easy instructions. Great location, Great value for money and the room was clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience with this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to help me even after I had checked out, they kindly assisted me with sending my forgotten belongings to Auckland. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism truly touched me. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the service is exceptional. This motel suited our needs: it's very convenient to downtown Wellington, free off-street parking (available on first in, first served basis) and a clean and comfortable room. The motel is quite extensive, something of a labyrinth incorporating a number of buildings of varying ages and styles. We were in an unstairs room in the older Edwardian section facing Majoribanks Street. No lift so we had to drag bags up a couple of flights of stairs but not too onerous. Room was fine though limited places for luggage and 'kitchenette' on small side, with small fridge, microwave oven, some cutlery and crockery etc. Again, didn't worry us to much as we tended to rely on a few excellent cafes in the near neighbourhood. Bathroom was excellent. Would happily stay here again.

Stayed here a lot while in Wellington, 5 min walk to Courtney place, great restaurants close by including fish&chips. Te Papa 10 mis away as are shopping areas Moore & Wilson’s and Caffe L’affare.

We always rent a 5 speed manual car on holiday, and decided to transfer car from N to S island via ferry Any seasoned traveler expects and experiences some problem solving Ferry crossing was delayed due to large storm, and we selected Apollo for one night Any port in a storm Met our needs and recommend

My friend and I spent 3 nights at the Apollo Lodge and we were very pleased with our stay. Staff was pleasant, I believe it was a husband and wife team running the place. The location could not have been better, a 5 minute walk from the downtown area for food and drinks but on a quiet street. Then again, my bed was right by the window so I was woken up a few times by loud people walking by the street. We were in an A-Frame room, which looks like they all border the street. So noise could be an issue in this room type vs. the others. Our room also looked different from the online pictures which were of the upstairs rooms. I addressed this with the staff and they said they could not control which pictures were shown. A bit disappointing, but the room was the same layout nonetheless. The beds were not the most comfortable beds but they did just fine.

I booked 'Apollo Lodge' through booking.com due to it's location (in Central Wellington) and the flexibility of people/guests they could accommodate. Three nights for a team of 3 actors, tech and director! The 1 bedroom apt with kitchenette was ample for our needs, just missing the hobs, as then we would have been ecstatic! So dining out every meal gets expensive, however it was only a short time. The bathroom had a high-powered shower and modern vanity unit with roomy drawers. The bedding was rather dated - however the bed/s were comfortable. The husband-and-wife team were friendly on our early check-in, offering maps and a place to store our luggage at 7.30am, or thereabouts! Just a few minutes walk to Courtney Place and Cuba Street, where the nightlife happens everyday of the week, to the early hours! Safe, homely, free parking, great housekeeping - what more could you want! I would go back, without hesitation. Oh, it's also affordable!
