Apostle Whey Cheese

I absolutely loved my experience — a delightful fusion of tasty cheeses paired with witty humour. The smear-ripened Havarti and the herbs-and-garlic Feta were simply outstanding, each bite bursting with flavour. Truly, all the cheeses are a must-try! What made the visit even more memorable was the lady who assisted me. She was fabulous — warm, attentive, and clearly an expert in customer experience. Her professionalism and charm elevated the entire encounter. Next time I’m down under, I’ll definitely be bringing the whole team from Africa to share in this wonderful experience.

Tried the cheese tasting ($3), which included 13 different cheeses they produce, plus a small sampling of two ice cream flavours of your choice. My personal favourites were the Grotto (washed rind) with a bit of crystallised crunch, and Bolte’s Bonanza if you enjoy pungent, bold cheese like I do 😄. We also ordered the salted caramel ice cream ($6), rich and creamy. Overall, a great experience for any cheese lover, with plenty of flavours to explore and sample.

Great cheese tasting which tempted us into buying more cheese than we planned! It's good!! They also have gelato which was very tasty. Beautiful spot to check out and admire the view and fun garden art as well.

The elderly gentleman running the shop was an absolute joy to chat with. He shared much about how he raised his family and his passion to be a farmer. It was insightful and inspiring. The visit was so much more than just cheese, gelato and coffee for us.

Short drive from Simpson, where there is also a great Recreation Ground for the caravan. Great service and priced very fairly. Well worth a stop for a cheese lover.

We had such a lovely time at the cheese tasting! The staff were kind and friendly, the view and the cute resident dog made the visit even sweeter. For $3, we got to try 13 different cheeses plus two gelato flavours. Little people could taste for free, which was so thoughtful! The cheese is also vegetarian! 🌱 We ended up taking home some cheese and milk. Overall, a really enjoyable experience if you enjoy cheese or just want the experience!

Great place, delicious cheese, and fantastic staff. This is Nessy (photo), a “moo-nster” who lost its whey 😂. The staff is full of amazing dad jokes.

My kids love the cheeses here! The fetas in particular get smashed, as soon as they're purchased! You can see cute coes n donkeys and if cheese isn't your thing, you can grab a gelato or milkshake. There are also always pretty flowers & metal art to look at!

Loved this place! A short drive from the 12 Apostels, Great Ocean Road. Cheese tasting, coffee, savory or sweet cheese platter, and cheese to purchase. Really awesome to see the cows in the Mooternity Ward from the garden and from the cafe window. Worth the short drive! Free (nibble) tasting of 12 of their cheeses for all visitors. They also have cow milking demonstration at 4pm daily. However, I felt that given the detour required, unless you were a huge cheese fan, it wouldn't be worth going. You can pick up some cheeses, but they are expensive (small camembert for $9). They also serve home made ice cream ($6 for a cup or cone), but the flavours were average at best.

The cheese is amazing, the service is very informative about the process and a delight to purchase and consume local food that was lovingly crafted.

Absolutely amazing cheese here. Any trip down the great ocean road absolutely requires a stop down here. The "Bay of Martyrs" Blue Vein is my favourite from here, and is quite honestly the best Blue cheese I have ever had. It has all the flavour of lovely creamy blue and is amazingly well balanced. Their washed rind "The Grotto" is also very very good, but doesn't have the same kind of pop as the Bay of Martyrs. Do yourself a favour. Head over here for some amazing treats.

It's a bit of a hike to get out to this cheesery but it's worth the drive. They do a great washed rind which tastes a lot like cauliflower and a very decent blue vein called Bay of Martyrs. The out of the way location means tastings are in small groups. They might be busier at peak times though. They make a bit of a todo about watching the cows being milked which might be fun if you have kids in tow.

Good cheese, not the best cheese ever but did not disappoint. Was hoping to sit down and enjoy our byo wine with the cheese but didn't feel welcome to.
