The best stadium in Europe! Panathinaikos has a great atmosphere, I have been going to this stadium for over 10 years. The staff is also friendly and great, the amenities in the vip gate, everything is great! The best of all is the songs of gate 13, I know them all by heart! Time to go to Votanikos !!☘️☘️

Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium, Athens, Greece. 🇬🇷 🏟️ Home of @fcpanathinaikos Capacity: 16,011 It was inaugurated in 1922 and is the oldest football stadium in Greece currently active. It is the traditional athletic center of Panathinaikos A.C. and has been the home ground of Panathinaikos FC for the most part of the club's existence. The stadium is named after the historic club's president, official and athlete Apostolos Nikolaidis. It is situated in the Ambelokipi district of Athens, east of the Lycabettus Hill and on Alexandras Avenue 160, by which name it is most commonly known (Leoforos Alexandras or simply Leoforos, Leoforos meaning Avenue). The stadium's record attendance was recorded in 1967, when 29,665 spectators watched the Cup Winners Cup game between Panathinaikos and FC Bayern Munich. It also houses several other facilities under its stands, including an indoor hall, a small swimming pool, a boxing ring, an indoor shooting range, the club's offices as well as various other facilities.

Getting in and out was shocking. Probably the worse experience Ive ever had getting into a stadium. Probably because it was with England and the riot police were just looking g.for trouble. Stadium itself was really good. Bit far from the pitch but you get that with Olympic Stadiums and running tracks. Good atmosphere though.

An older stadium, but with some definite character. The atmosphere is fantastic and the fans are absolutely passionate! I was traveling and decided to swing in for a match. Things I'd tell another first timer: Buy tickets online through the team site, but sign up for a "Friend Card" first. When entering, you can only access the stadium through your assigned gate and if you're in sections 8-12, expect to stand alot. Supporters section is 13. Great time and pretty ruckus.

Greek football supporters are famous all around the world as very passionate and die hard fans of their clubs. I was in the neighborhood and it was interesting to have a look from the outside of the stadium.

Scary atmosphere when you walk around. Looks old but the real passion is there !!! Graffitis all over the place, stadium in the middle of abandoned buildings. I loved it anyway 😅
