Columbus Circle Apothecary NYC

It's a great shop, and the service is on point. But calling it an Apothecary is a bit misleading. They don't prepare any medicines as a traditional Apothecary would, instead they just fill prescriptions and resell products. Its a cute pharmacy shop, but it's not a real Apothecary. Visit Bigelow in Village (although, it's also headed towards the modern Pharmaceutical Pushing mandate) or head to one of the many great herbalists in Chinatown if you want to experience a real Apothecary experience. We need more places where licensed herbalists & acupuncturists man the counters and create tinctures and provide you with herbs catered to your ailment. Not these pharmaceuticals which wreak havoc on our health and society.

Fast and simple! My dermatologist sent my prescriptions here, I got a text from the Apothecary right after I left the clinic, and they were able to detail the copay amounts for each prescription via text. Once I confirmed the details, my prescriptions were delivered to me (in Manhattan) on the SAME day. I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve been very impressed with the efficient and easy process.

Skip the big chain pharmacy such as CVS and Walgreens and head to this Apothecary. They really take care of you and go above and beyond to get you what you need. I’m a customer but as someone who works in Dermatology we also send a lot of our patients there. No complaints ever. Give them a try! Delivery option is A+ and their location is optimal if you want to pick up.

My dermatologist sent my new prescriptions here and within minutes the Apothecary contacted my via text that the prescriptions were ready ( with the price included after insurance). My prescriptions were delivered to me ( in New Jersey) the following day, the delivery company was very efficient and had a tracking link which was impressive. I highly recommend this pharmacy as the process is hassle free, I’ve never physically been to the store maybe next time I will opt to collect my prescription so I can see what the store is like. Not sure which location delivered but I am in Jersey. The very fact that they crossed the bridge 3 days after the installation of congestion pricing and FREEZING Jan day makes them a GOAT in my eyes. Thanks so much!

Absolutely LOVE them! I had barely left the Derm office, when Apothecary sent me a text message with pricing regarding my medication and to see if I would like FREE same day delivery. Not only did I get it in a few hours, they came out in a monsoon! So caring and thorough! I was informed the med required refrigeration. They checked to make sure that would be possible, and brought it with an ice pack just in case. 100% Recommend

This "pharmacy" is open Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, so tough luck if you work full time. They will send medication by mail, but if you have no doorman, like most - this is less than ideal. They use a third-party application called NimbleRx, which has no customer service phone number, forces you to make an account with your phone and email, and will text you non-stop. Lastly, they are definitely have some sort of agreement with NY's Dermatology Specialists because they push/sell this pharmacy hard, even when you ask to go to you local CVS, Duane Reade, or independent Pharmacy. Staff is nice though, so +1 star for that.

I'm a medical assistant at a dermatology office in UES. Apothecary NYC is one of our go-to specialty pharmacies (the other being their partner Third Ave). Michael is the best. He's always on top of things and we can trust that our patients are in good hands with him.

Apothecary must have a reputation or arrangement with dermatologists. After requesting a refill for a psoriasis medication and instructing my doctor to send it to the CVS a block from my apartment, my doctors office canceled the prescription sent to the CVS and sent it to this pharmacy. I received a phone call from the doctor assistant saying that my prescription needed prior approval so they sent it to Apothecary and Apothecary would deliver it to me. I was not happy with the doctor's office sending my personal information and insurance information to a strange pharmacy. I usually get approval from my insurance before using a pharmacy. They don't pay everyone. Soon after this call I received a text from this pharmacy saying my prescription was not eligible to be filled until after December 1st. It was a brand new prescription how could that be? Meanwhile CVS was in the process of filling it when they got a call from the doctor canceling the prescription. I'm wondering what kind of cahoots this pharmacy has with dermatologists. I'm way Upper East Side and this place is Columbus Circle. I was told delivery was free. I practically live in my CVS why can't I just go pick it up there! Waste of manpower delivering to me when I'm miles away. I was so tired and it's been over 10 days waiting I canceled the order at CVS myself. If Apothecary contacts me after December 1st I'm going to request they remove my personal information from their system. I'll be discussing this with my doctor when I go for my annual visit in February. I don't want to hear about my inflamed psoriasis. I'll just live with it. The side effects of the medication are horrible including skin cancer. Getting old ain't for sissies! Three Stars for being tech savvy...

Location is beautiful and they have nice products. Price is alright but more on the over priced end. I've been refilling my prescriptions with them for 3 months now, by my doctor's request. Every time I need to speak on the phone with them, the staff is rude. They make mistakes and act as if it were your fault. And don't expect an apology. In person they are ok. But need to work on the attitude.

Apothecary was recommended by my dermatologist. The prices are way better than CVS and Duane Reade and I'm thrilled there's delivery so I don't have to wait on line. The meds are bagged with instructions, and the text updates are helpful

My dermatologist recommended this pharmacy and WOW, I am so glad he did. What a gem! They were able to find me a coupon for Epidou, an expensive acne medication (about $600 without insurance) to only a $35 co pay with my insurance. They then handled my insurance and I ended up not having to pay the $35. I got it fully covered thanks to their assistance. How amazing is that? I've had several prescriptions now sent them and they continue to meet my needs. Highly recommend them. Friendly. Hassle free. Helpful and save you $money$. I'm making them my primary pharmacy even if that means I have to commute to get to them. Thanks

Third time using this pharmacy and I can't ever imagine standing in another dreadful CVS line again! My dermatologist recommended this pharmacy and I couldn't be happier. Everyone is very responsive (with pleasant manners) and the whole process is seamless. My doctor called in the script, asked me to call the pharmacy to confirm my info and in a few hours my script was either ready for pick up or the option to have it delivered to my home. This is a dream service, super happy to have found this, will not be looking back!

Hands down the best pharmacy I've ever been to! They just opened up a few months ago and I can say for a fact that they now have a lifetime customer. I came here after my Dermatologist recommended this pharmacy and was greeted by the most aesthetic and friendly environment ever! My prescription was actually still on route to the location when I got there but I had the option to have it delivered (so long as it was in Manhattan). I decided to wait this time but will do the delivery option in the future. Kwok and Eunhee were especially helpful and hospitable while I waited. I was offered water, a cool rare Coke I've never tried before, and chocolate! They also had coupons that reduced my prescription from a $160+ copay to $15! That's CRAZY. Slightly unrelated, but Kwok also took the time from doing his work to tell me what he knew about Lasik/PRK surgery based on his own experiences. This was after I questioned about medication interference - he definitely didn't have to do that but I loved that he did. Overall, great pharmacy, great people, and great prices! Can't get any better than that.

A beautiful neighborhood pharmacy. A family run mom and pop style place, the owners are friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Reminds me of the local pharmacies I'd find in Europe. They carry specialty high end items you can't find anywhere else. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Every pharmacist is lovely here but kudos to Kwok for always finding me the best prices!

I went to Apothecary NYC on 57th street, because my dermatologist is near them on West 58th street. I realized I would not have time to get it filled and pick up, as I had to head to another appointment in my neighborhood on the west side right after my derm appointment. I was actually able to schedule the medication to be delivered to my home that evening from my phone, in a cab to my other appointment, their website lets you do that so easily. When I was working later that afternoon at home, the medication arrived by messenger. So convenient. A++

I rarely write reviews, but I got a prescription for Dexilant which I hasn't used in a while and I had a bunch of questions about the drug. The pharmacist here was extremely helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. There are a lot of pharmacies around, but I will always trust this one the most.

The absolute best pharmacy in NYC. They reach out when your prescription comes in, and ever since COVID they've mailed my prescriptions. Amazingly nice staff, and service.

What a pleasure to find a solid establishment that honors "old school" and a kinder capitalism: Give them your business and they will Give Give Give with nothing but that " mom-and-pop-shop" warmth. They saved me a lot of money and aggravation. Wonderful people work here who are super knowledgeable on medications equivalent to the pricey scripts in case your insurance doesn't cover it. They deliver (Pun intended)! Spend some money here. They deserve it!

This is the best Pharmacy in NYC. I have been visited in NYC end of Sept and looking for special medicine. I have tried all the CVS pharmacy, and other local Pharmacy in Manhattan there are all out of stock. However, Kwok is very helpful that he helped me to get the delivery the next day before my flight, he and his wife are super friendly , professional and helpful. Meanwhile, comparing the pricing with other pharmacy, Kwok gave me very good pricing as well even i am a visitor as they value every consumer as a respect client. In the store, you can see lots of certifications from Kwok who has been working in Pharmacy industry ca 40 years. The store is very clear and stylish like the old Pharmacy in Euro. Kwok and his wife made me feel so comfortable and relax. I will highly recommend no matter local or visitors with APOTHECARY when you are in Manhattan. Thank you Kwok.

Remember the days when your pharmacist was actually knowledgeable and friendly? Well look no further than Apothecary NYC pharmacy. This pharmacy has the best of the old traditional type of pharmacy where you have personalized service from a pharmacist, but the modern touch of home delivery and so many high end products that are wonderful and can't be found anywhere else; all in one place. The staff is friendly and I find myself wanting to go back to this beautiful and modern pharmacy with the best of both worlds( great personalized service with modern appeal) 5 stars for the products too!

I was connected to this pharmacy through my dermatologist. They were able to cover prescriptions that my regular pharmacy could not. The customer service was friendly and accommodating. They were also able to deliver to me at my office in person the very next day.

Positive from start to finish--rare in this industry. This pharmacy is new to the neighborhood. It is easy to miss as you are walking by as they have scaffolding up (NY scaffolding likes to sticks around for long intervals). I'm glad I found it. I did some shopping around beforehand and saw that Apothecary's prices were a bit higher than a competitor for an out of pocket fill. I called them and they were patient and accommodating in not only matching the price, but beating it in my case. Although this may not always be possible, the staff was forthcoming and willing to take the time to ask. It is a small pharmacy, so staff is limited, but the lady I spoke with (Sheital) was kind and courteous. She followed up after my doctor left a prescription, as promised. Picking up the medicine was an even better surprise. I walked right past the place on a cold, rainy and dark evening. A few minutes after they had closed and front lights off, I arrived. I knocked and a woman smiled at me and let me in. If you've ever experienced the frustration of needing your medicine only to arrive at a shuttered pharmacy, this is a huge blessing. The courtesy they extended me in opening their doors was very appreciated. The location is stunningly beautiful in design with tasteful accents, a chic geometric floor pattern, and a selection of lush products. The attention to details is very much appreciated and not overlooked. Prescriptions are put in a typical white paper bag then placed in a sturdier bag with handles. Makes it much easier to carry and looks cleaner. The pharmacist took the time to directly approach and clearly explain the doctor's directions. I truly hope this establishment sticks to this business model. Everything about the experience felt personal and was reliable. People take notice and it adds a bit of pleasure to the usual grind the city offers. I wish them well and hope they succeed.

My doctor recommended this new pharmacy in the area and I am very impressed with the service. I paid $60 for this prescription in the past, but they had a coupon for me to bring it to $35. They delivered it for free to my job by the end of the day. The whole phone call lasted barely 2 minutes. Great stuff guys!
