Apoyo Resort & Conference Center

I stayed at the Apoyo Resort & Spa, as it was off season it was not very busy. I headed across the road to the lake and a restaurant which was nice, had a few beers, some tacos and just relaxed. There were only a couple of people staying at the hotel, my booking was screwed up a little and had to wait about 30 minutes to be processed in. The staff at this hotel are very friendly. The rooms were basic but had a fridge, microwave, and a noisy air conditioner. There is also o deck with seating. Pretty much nothing was open, so had to make do with my tacos in my belly from across the road. They had good security, although parking was way below and had a big climb with all my gear. WiFi was very average, but across the road at the restaurant, it was better. Not good for a hotel of this nature.

Nice place but poorly managed. Some rooms have not been used for a long time so they can have moisture everywhere (smell). There are problems of light and are not well prepared to contain it. The staff number is not enough for the number of guests. However you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lagoon, relize paddle surfing or kayaking and enjoy the excellent food of their restaurant (in a day with low demand).

It's very beautiful here. We stayed for the day. You pay $200 Cordoba to get in but that goes toward any food or drink at the restaurant. You can use their amenities like wifi, pool table, lounge chairs, swimming pool and of course the big lake. They have a floating dock you can lay on and just relax if you like. They also have kayaks you can rent for half an hour. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place! Click on the pic to see the panoramic shot

Very quiet when we went near end of November tourist season yet to start. Lovely location a big resort. We went just for the day pay 200 Cordobas to use their pool as well as going in the lake. The 200 included a couple of drinks and a plate of chips.

Really good customer service. Lovely people. The only reason I didn't give a 5 stars is because for so much money for one villa you should at least include kayaking and not have the guests pay for kayaking ($10 an hour)

Nice place to spend an afternoon, good restaurant right on the lake. Swimming pool and beach are other plus of this place. Is a place with great potential but there are some still some details missing. The resort has lot of villas, every time I've been seemed empty, a bit over priced.

Big resort property where families can enjoy. Has a pool where kids can play if the apoyo lake isn't their cup of tea. Careful with your footing as there's a lot of steps to get to lake level from the street. Great food and good service. They also lend you gear for water activities.

I was suppost to have my wedding here which didnt end up happening. Sara the general manager was very accommodating during the whole experience; From planning it all the way up to the cancellation. My family and friends still ended up going to the hotel to stay and we had a great time. We would totally come back!
