Applebee's Grill + Bar

Applebee's, we all know the deal. Nice meals, nice people, decent prices. I flew across the country, stayed at a shitty hotel (see Red Roof) but there was Applebee's and I knew I was at least good for my dinner! Always exactly what you expect anywhere you go. It's a straight up, normal food 5 stars. I think Applebee's probably take pride in training their peeps. They are always excellent and kind no matter where you go. 5 stars to the trainers!

I had reservations coming here prior to our movie at 7pm, given the history of chain restaurants. Ember and Eagle is closed on Sundays and my wife and I wanted a place for apps and a drink. The place is excellent for watching sports due to multiple tvs everywhere while sitting at the bar. Maitre D was courteous and welcomed us to the restaurant. We sat at the bar. I thought about ordering wings since I always try wings at every restaurant I go to, my favorite food, but for the price of $18 vs a full rack of ribs for $26, it was a no brainer. My wife ordered the sirloin steak rare and potatoes. Surprisingly, our food was amazing. For the price that’s about $7-8 cheaper than Salt Creek Grille for $32ish, their ribs were scrumptious and fall off the bone tender. I had the Hot Honey sauce which was amazing. Yeah, it didn’t come with Parmesan waffle fries like SCG, but their fries were great, better than most fast food places. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly rare and for a sirloin it was great. Yes it wasn’t prime steak but it only costs $25 and not upwards of $80. Her steak was definitely better than Outback. We concluded that it all depends on who’s cooking and I have to commend the cook who made our dinner on Sunday Aug 3 at 6pm. We have no complaints and if we are in town and need a good meal at a very reasonable price, Applebees in Eatontown is the place to go.

Horrible experience. Jeff the manager poor customer service. Bartender service poor. Inattentive and food cold when it came out. Been going to Applebee's for so many years and definitely will not frequent this location ever again. Quite insulted as military officer and coming from event at Fort Monmouth this evening. Cold food, poor management equals do not come to this restaurant. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Restaurant and bathroom (men's) filthy.

We were sat down immediately so we knew it wasn’t too busy in there (also didn’t seem like it) but after ordering drinks, which came out after about 15 minutes, we wait over an hour and we didn’t receive any food. we asked someone and they said it would “come out shortly” we ordered an appetizer that was not given either during this time. So we had two drinks in over an hour and it was only after asking someone about it that we were offered refills, poor service

I rarely leave reviews, but this was just gross. Went in for a casual dinner and immediately regretted it. First off, we noticed a long brown hair right next to our food, which was disgusting. Then, to make things worse, a huge ant was crawling across the table. We pointed everything out, hoping the staff would take it seriously, but the manager had a terrible attitude-super dismissive, didn't even apologize properly, and acted like we were the problem for bringing it up. No sense of customer service at all Definitely not coming back to this location.

We got here because of near the hotel we stayd but wasn't that great like other location. Reason was food was below average and drink was flat and they charge the game that we don't even play. I recommand go chills near there much nicer and better.

This has become our favorite go to for family night. It's always clean and we get seated promptly. The servers are always awesome! The food and cocktails never disappoint! There's this one girl that works there I have to get her name but she is always good vibes and like our favorite part of this location. When we come and she's there we're always like oh she's here we love her lol. I promise to get her name and update this next time we visit. We celebrated my son's girlfriend's 21st birthday last night.Our server was Anthony and he was so amazing. He helped make her birthday outing so much more fun. Can't wait for our next visit.

Casey was honest to god one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Funny, attentive, sweet and charming. We will actually be coming back and requesting her. Very sweet woman.

My friends and I had a great time for half apps here, and our waitress Kacey, plus who I am assuming is the manager Kyle, were so nice and fun to talk to. The whole vibe was great! They gave us trivia and were joking around with us. The food was delicious and all half apps which is always great, and the birthday girl dropped her drink and they were so kind and got us new food and everything. I was told to also mention how amazing the cinnamon rolls were because they were gone by the time they made it around the table to me! The drinks were also yummy! We got the shark bowl and tipsy reindeer which were both good! I was honestly surprised that this was a good experience because when we first arrived, the host was terrible and I was honestly ready to write a bad review. Luckily Kacey saved the day! We called about 30 minutes before and the guy was so nice and told us he'd hold a table which they never do, and we were so grateful! When we got there the host was like "we don't do that someone lied to you" and he was saying "F***" every other word which I thought was insane for a worker to say in front of customers. I'm glad Kacey made our night better because we were definitely put off my that. Other than that I think the rest of the night went great. Pros: good food & drinks, waitress was great, vibes Cons: Host put us off

Bourbon street steak is wonderful and this Applebees has heated up the garlic mashed potatoes perfectly. Started with a Mai tai and every thing just great! Service is perfect and punctual. Music not too loud! Good show!

Fun bar at the patio. Bartenders J.D. and Kerri are great and fast. Good burgers and chicken sandwiches. There are always drink specials

I saw the yelp ads for Applebees specifically the all you can eat boneless wings, shrimp and riblets and for $14.99 I will take a shot. Plenty of parking and no wait for a table. My wife went with a fajita burrito which she has had before and likes. I went with the all you can eat option. The boneless ribs were good, a lot of breading but they are crispy and the sauces are good for the most part. Buffalo and honey BBQ are my favorites while the garlic Parmesan was my least favorite. The deal comes with endless French fries and one small cup of coleslaw. I didn't have the fries but the coleslaw was outstanding, unfortunately they will only give you one serving of coleslaw regardless of your refills....bummer The fried shrimp were ok, tartar sauce was in a packet. The riblets were inedible. Fatty with a lot of bones. Not worth ordering. For the price and the volume of boneless wings the deal is probably worth it although I won't be in a rush to return.

I had a long and exhausting day to the point I can't even play with my words - LiTeRaLaLLy tonIGhT. All day I have been craving a chocolate milkshake from Appy Bees ~ as per usual I have no idea why or how they make 'em So dang good ~ but they do ! I got to the Long Branch establishment and the hostess was super friendly and chatty with me which was nice and a relief because I had a rough day with customer service ( for another review - ) she spent her time telling the specials and had some nice interpersonal convo w me - well needed. I ordered my GO TO ! * THE *cheese quesadillas and tomato soup with, the very friendly server and she went out of her way to see if the kitchen would make a smaller version of one of their salads ( they couldn't - apparently ) no worries with me ~ I channel my aggravation elsewhere . For some reason a chocolate milkshake took over 20 minutes to make but my server was awesome regardless her name was Jennifer and was super attentive , on top of her game and sweet . I haven't had such a friendly server in a while Great food . niCe convo , ExCELLeNT MiNuS waiTiNg fOr mY shAKe ! Atmosphere? The people behind me are complaining in a booth that they shouldn't have to tip more because food costs more I turned around and gave the evil eye. How is that the severs problem though ? Brought my family here for a quick lunch last week. I wasn't going to write a review but after laughing with my wife just now on how horrendous it was I decided to. Food was horried. Something must have changed. We had 2 orders of boneless wings. Sauce tasted rancid and the chicken was gross. Chicken tenders and fries kids meal came out cold with rock hard chicken. Service was slow with not many people there. Restaurant felt dark with no ambiance. Our bill was like $60. Applebees used to be a great spot but this visit is making me thinking I will never go to an Applebees again.

For the most part, everything was good at this location. I was really appreciative of the non-alcoholic white claws they had. For being a non-alcohol drinker, it still feels good to be included in the hang out. The service was really good considering they get really slammed and are the only restaurant open around later. We would definitely come back again if we were in the area.

Me and my family come here after a day at the beach. We come right around 5 PM and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table so that's great . The service we've experienced isn't bad they try to be as attentive as possible even if they have a lot of tables to serve. The food here has always come out to perfection. It's well cooked and comes out in a timely manner. Like any other Applebees, this is a place you come to for a nice meal and Chill experience. This Applebees seems to offer outdoor seating however, I've never tried it. This will probably continue to be my to go place after a long day at the beach.

Service is pretty good but the wait for drinks is insane the bartender is so slow to make drinks for place that isn't insanely packed is ridiculous then procneeded to go outside for a "break" hire more bartenders or a faster one

Bar service is terrible. The bartender will ignore everyone at the bar to talk with ? friends. If you can get an order in it will take a very long time to pay your bill. Been there a number of times hearing people stating that they were going to leave without paying because they couldn't get there check. Food's alright service sucks Even tried setting at a table same sad service

Did not come in expecting the quality food and service that we got. Barkeep and waiter (Oscar) were excellent. The bourbon shrimp and chicken was cooked perfectly and came out quickly, apps were very solid and the bill was reasonable. All in all, would go again, especially with a big group.

The best service ever! My friend and I are regulars there and I just wanted to give them a positive review about the food and service. We always go there for the half apps and it's a positive experience there every time. The cooks do an amazing job every time, the pricing is fair, and the hospitality is very welcoming and socially engaging. This Applebees location is the best one I've ever been to!!!

Visited this Applebee's after a long beach day. My group was starving and we were excited that 8 of us could be seated quickly and outside (nice weather). Applebee's surprised me with a nice and spacious outdoor seating area with lights draped around. They even had a bar too. The downside was that we could not combine tables so we had to separate the group. Our waiter was very nice and welcoming. We were brought utensils covered in plastic which is the first time I saw that. It's nice they are being safe. We got our drink orders fast. The sodas all tasted normal. My boyfriend got a blue tequila cocktail (not sure of name) that he thought tasted too watery. I like that they had a special where you can get an appetizer and two entrees for only $22 or $27 depending on the entrees. I did not like that it took 30 minutes just for the appetizer to come out. Luckily when it did arrive, the mozzarella sticks I ordered for the table tasted sooo good! A different waiter placed chips and spinach dip on our table even though we said we did not order it. He just left it there without asking our other table. Another 40 minutes passed and we still did not receive our entrees which is ridiculous. The place seemed very understaffed because we noticed our waiter was also the bartender. I had to go over there just to ask when our food was coming out. 10 minutes after that it finally came out. The burger and fries were pretty good. Not worth all that wait. We literally finished our drinks and needed refills. I would not recommend this location because they seem understaffed and can't manage time. They supposedly had an event which still doesn't justify how long we waited.

I stopped into to buy gift cards and had a beer at the bar while waiting The staff very friendly and quick. Happy hour prices 4-6pm. The restaurant definitely needs to be cleaned especially at the bar where it is very sticky and has a stale odor , very unexpected at a National Chain. One of the large screen TVs should also be replaced only color it displayed was green. I would not rush back here even though I received 2 bonus gift vouchers when I purchased the gift cards. I am always amazed at all the time Restaurants had to update and clean during the unfortunate shutdown and how many did nothing with this time.

I usually like going here but when I went it again today, I was treated with disrespect as 2 servers who saw me waiting and walked past me whilst I had already waited more than 15+ minutes to get my order taken

I went there with my friend a couple weeks ago. I got only appetizers because of the half apps promotion. I ordered their pretzels and their waffle fries appetizer. I also got their triple chocolate meltdown desert to go. I ended up being in the bathroom for two hours because whichever idiot cook(s) was/were working that night slapped on a bunch of cheese and bacon bits on the waffle fries. I know for a fact it was that alone in which case caused my upset stomach. This appetizer should be disbanded and should no longer be served to the general public. I don't plan to ever go back to that Applebees again until they get their act together.

My close friend for years was up from Virginia and we went to players pool hall with his wife and son and then decided to stop here for dinner, so I was already in a good mood, but I noticed that this definitely had a nice vibe and atmosphere to it and seemed very well kept for a restaurant chain that is over 20 years old now. I was here with some friends in the mid-90's, but for some reason I never came back. Not because of a bad experience, just never came back, but after tonight I can see myself as choosing this as one of my Sunday lunch visits. It's a very nice and bright restaurant and I love the outdoor patio seating and the choice of music was right up my alley. The service was outstanding and very quick and friendly which makes me hate TGI Friday's even more and it's a bit cheaper than Houlihan's(which I do love)! I had the Bourbon St. chicken and shrimp, my friend had the steak, and the wife and son had mozz sticks and the macaroni and cheese. The portions seemed a little small, like what you would expect for a lunch menu, but for the prices you really can't complain. I think they felt small maybe because I enjoyed it so much that I wished there was more! LOL!! I don't see any reason why I wouldn't come back and soon. I'm just sorry that for some reason I've been overlooking this place for years, ESP. since I've been living just 5 minutes away for the last 12 years. Dying to know how the buffalo wings are and can't wait to try the burgers and steaks. The friendly staff is what really made me happy in this case. Just love to be pleasantly surprised if not completely shocked. Hope this is the norm here!! We will see!!!

The latest menu explains irres-si-tabowls in detail but this location does not give you what is shown on the detailed online menu. I ordered a crispy orange shrimp bowl and my husband ordered a crispy orange chicken bowl. According to the menu both are topped with green onions and toasted almonds. Unfortunately neither bowl had even one almond on it. Not one on two bowls. The almonds are part of the protein which was paid for and not received. I even went back online to double check there should have been toasted almonds and yes there should have been. I am finding a lot of chains during the pandemic seem to believe they can short you food and nothing can be done about it. Well we can not come back and not spend our money at places that short people food they pay for. It is a year plus into the pandemic so while there may have been valid reasons for missing food a year ago I do not believe that is true any longer. I encourage you to only get take out from restaurants that appreciate you being a customer and treat your take out order as if it matters to them.

It's been a while since I've been back here. The chicken wanton tacos were decent. It was nice to see Melissa still working there. The place was packed.

yeah okay so i went to applebees and i saw they took the delicious cheesballs off their menu. so im here to say bring them back please and thank you!!

Stopped on the way home today at about 2:00pm. We were immediately seated outside under the tent. They had enough TVs to watch two football games. Outdoor chairs were sturdy (I'm a big guy). In short, service was slow, burgers were small and very greasy. Fries were good and plenty. Our waitress was no where to be found most of the time. She didn't have a lot of tables, and it wasn't busy. I rarely tip less than 20%+. This time it was difficult leaving 15%. That was a gift. No need to return or recommend.

Nick the manager is amazing. He helped me this evening and I am super great full! Promote him!

Wasn't busy at 7:00pm on a week day, and had plenty of space. Food came out took a minute but appetizer came out fast and was hot. The server was a bit scarce (but not due to lack of trying as she seemed to have to juggle many tables while bussing as well), was nice for a quick sit down dinner but not much more. 7/16/23

The vibe of this place was off. Staff were not happy or cheery as other Applebee's I've been to. Waiter spent more time talking to other patrons than checking up on us. The food was not tasteful at all. Very bland. Only thing with flavor was the cheese. Overall, experience was bad all the way through.

After a rough day of trying to figure out why I was being overtaxed, with the help of my friend Pete, I really needed to relax and just "veg"...so I ended up at Applebee's for dinner with my wife...we quickly decided on the appetizers...steak quesadilla, brew pub pretzels and dip, and wonton tacos...a couple of beers...that was all we could handle...in fact, we ended up taking some home! Donna was our waitress...did a good job...if you like sports they have many large screen TVs too! Back again...started with the spinach dip appetizer...then the Chinese chicken salad...Donna was our waitress again...enjoyed it!

My family and I have been going To Applebee's T.Falls since it opened. I like the variety of food selections especially the Fiesta Lime Chicken and all their appetizers are Yummy, especially the Spinach and artichoke dip! Our favorite waiter is Anthony S. he is courteous, efficient and is Totally "Customer Service" all the way! He is kind and very accommodating, in getting your order, and asking you if you need drink re-fills before asking him. Anthony is really management material and I hope they see that in him! ( I am not related!). Great Job Applebee's! P.S. I love their plain Ice Tea with a lemon and orange slice!

On a Friday night I called ahead and was informed there was no wait. Walking in a moment after, the hostess said it would be 15 minutes. Normally this would be fine but the restaurant was nearly empty (see picture). Even after being seated, we had poor service. It's an Applebees, so not expecting too much besides putting in our food order really. Buffalo chicken was missing the ranch it usually comes with and my boyfriend's bacon cheeseburger came without bacon. Our waitress never came back to tell her. Thank goodness you can pay at a kiosk and not hold your breath for a bill. It's a shame because the interior is nice.

I've came here 3 times and they do NOT cook the shrimp it's completely raw and smells. I didn't give the man a good tip because I explained to him last time I got sick and to please make sure you tell them to cook it good, my food came Out and it's completely raw again I showed it to him and showed him how raw it was. he said sorry and walked away. I should've gotten my whole meal off since I even told him or ever 5$ 10$ off. I keep thinking people will do there jobs it would take him 30 seconds to walk 5 feet and check. There's people that will sue over this.

Stopped here with little time to spare before a movie. The greeters were attentive and cheerful as was our waitor. We ordered off the 2 for 22 menu. Got 2 diet Cokes and with tip it was $35 bucks. The quality of the food was NOT worth it. We had to send back our appetizer, boneless chicken wings as they were overcooked, burned actually, a fact they tried to hide by pouring a vat of gross BBQ sauce over them. Our second choice, onion rings were one notch below burnt. The fries we got with our burgers were not fresh from the frier. The burgers were actually pretty good. Overall, I'd say Chick filet would have been a way better choice both food wise and price wise. Not recommended.

The food was above average, and the service was tremendous. The only downside was lack of space and my burger was a little undercooked.

I so wanted to give this a better rating but in good conscious I couldn't. It's an Applebees; what did you expect, you may ask? I get that but this Applebees unlike any of the others I have been to has a good craft beer selection. I've been here before and although never rated it I thought this time I'd try it again. I figured this visit would elevate its cred; it didn't. Our bartender Melissa was good. Service is always better at the bar. I ordered a Brooklyn Blast Double IPA that just tasted old. There wasn't the hop aroma nor flavor I expect from this ale. I've had it before and know the first thing that ages in an IPA is the hop profile. Later I tried the Ommegang Seven Kingdoms which is a hoppy Belgian style which I enjoyed. Checking out the menu I noticed that I was searching for the least offensive item on the menu thinking, "go for the lesser of evils". I shouldn't have to do that in a restaurant. For an entrée I finally decided on the Pepper-Encrusted Sirloin. It had portobellos, tomatoes, and spinach. It sounded good and the picture in the menu looked great. First taste confirmed my fears. In trying to describe it to you I'm at a loss other than to say that it should have been called just sirloin because it wasn't encrusted with anything. Rather than pick it apart, lets just say it sucked. There, I said it. Others with us said their meals were barely ok. If you opt to eat at their outdoor bar you are probably a smoker. Don't venture out there unless dense smoke doesn't bother you. If you like craft beer and stick to the appetizers (wings were decent on a prior visit) and maybe eat somewhere else, then check it out. Otherwise you take your chances.

I am giving this Applebee's a 3 star rating because of the decor & the beer selection only. I find the decor to be nostalgic, upbeat & appealing. They have some great murals on the walls depicting area locations that a local would remember. We visited for an early dinner, not because I would ever consider a place like Applebee's for dinner but because of the beer. I love a good, craft beer! Four of us arrived about 5:30 & there were plenty of seats; we chose the bar. There are roughly 6 taps of craft beer, some I wouldn't consider craft, but I was thrilled to find they had one of my all time favorites, 90 Minute IPA. It was delicious. The 2 other craft beer drinkers in our group found choices as well, although one stated theirs tasted old. The one non beer drinker ordered a blackberry sangria which she enjoyed. As I stated earlier, I do not go to Applebee's for the food but I chose the Bourbon Street chicken & shrimp. It was very greasy & not very appealing. I have eaten here several times & have had lackluster meals. I had hoped for more this time so for food I would give it a solid 2 stars. I will return at some point but it will be awhile. So many restaurants, so little time!

Excellent service! I asked for salmon but without Cajun seasoning and cooked rare--it was perfect! Outdoor seating for my service dog , couldn't ask for more! We will be back!!!!

We waited about an hour for our food. But given the unusual circumstances of the pandemic, we were patient.

The fluorescent lights at my table make me feel like I'm moving carts in a Home Depot parking lot. The service so far has been inadequate... there wasn't any wait to be seated, but felt like if I were in a line to go on the terminator at universal studios, shit took forever. The best thing about this Applebee's was the amazing parking lot.

Pepper crusted sirloin with sautéed spinach and grilled tomato is tasty as hell but portion could be a bit bigger for those of us not counting calories. Had to throw a wedge salad on the order looked great when presented. Wait staff very friendly and attentive.

so I had no other choices once I hit the Courtyard by Marriott in Tinton Falls. So for an Applebees I have to say pretty darn good. I could nearly give this place a 4 star, so 3 1/2 here. While it is the normal stuff the wait staff were super cool and overall I had good fresh food.

I haven't been to an Applebee's in years. I stopped off here because they have a nice large outdoor bar and patio area where you can smoke! The drink prices aren't bad and the food is pretty good. Yes, the men that work at this place are mostly nerds, but the female bartenders and servers are very trashy (in a good way!!!). I'd definitely come here again. The staff was especially nice.

I have to say I have been going to Applebee's for years! Yes, I enjoy their food, very much so. But when your sick or don't feel like cooking I rely on Applebee's online order and pick up. Unfortunately for the pass 2 weekend I go to place an order and the system is not working. I keep getting a "Try again later" Well later turns to an hours. Chili's have been my go to for the last two weeks. Still love you Applebee's but my family and I cant wait. We'll try again next weekend All I All it would be a "5" STAR!

Visited Applebee's in Tinton Falls, NJ for their first night of outdoor dining.. what a GREAT experience! It was a clean, comfortable and inviting patio area with beautiful tables and plenty of socially-distanced seating. The servers and managers were welcoming and friendly as they expertly handled our dinner requests and efficiently accommodated our food allergies. We are so thankful to be able to eat at our favorite restaurant chain once again!!

Our server, Sean, was very attentive and good!! The portions at this location are huge compared to the others so this location is our favorite! Food is also always fresh and tasteful. Definitely coming back for the amazing service and great food!

We got the 2 for 20 meal.s We both opted for the house salad, which is huge with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and cheese. Cold and delicious. I had the sirloin sir fry, (for $3.00 extra). It was very good. She had the fiesta chicken, which she liked also Good service too.

Horrible service!!!!! Our small appetizer plates were filthy with food still on one EW, so we kindly asked for new ones . Waitress didn't even say sorry or seem to care. My water was empty for a very long time since she was MIA and I was so thirsty I put a straw in my friends water. Miserable wait staff, food, and experience.

They serve KANE Overhead on tap- go for it- go Yanks! Great pub-lots new appys- and Kane's Overhead in tap!!!

Best experiences here AWAYS because of the waiter NICK!!!! He is AMAZING. Awesome customer service, always goes above and beyond for his tables/customers and will get you whatever you need within seconds. He has an awesome attitude and is so kind hearted and personable. We always ask for Nick when we come here. He deserves higher pay!!!

Good old easy Applebee's. It's usually light on the crowd, quick on service, and consistent Applebee's fast food. Got to love the boneless wings and oriental salad
