Appleby Inn Hotel

We had a table for eight booked for six o’clock , the table was ready & we were all seated straight away. |Our drinks were served really fast. |Once our food order was taken, the food didn’t seem to take that long to arrive. Every dish that was served was delicious, all our plates were nearly if not empty. |Some of us had puddings even though we were stuffed. ||Everyone of us would definitely go back & would 100% recommend it. |Claire was our waitress & I must say she was absolutely amazing, definitely a credit the Appleby Inn Hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel while attending the Back 2 Festival, as it was conveniently located just 10 minutes away. The stay offered excellent value for money — we paid only £50 each, including breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We had lunch at the hotel, and the portions were generous, tasty, and reasonably priced. The room itself was basic and a little dated, but it was clean and perfectly fine for a night’s rest. My only concerns were that it became uncomfortably warm overnight, and I noticed the towels prepared for departing guests were left on the floor outside the rooms — which made me question their cleanliness. Breakfast was tasty, with generous portions once again. There’s plenty of car parking available, and despite being located right next to a road, it was quiet throughout the night. I would happily stay here again if I were in the area, and it would definitely be my first choice if I attend the festival again.

Dropped in for ann evening meal with my wife tonight. Our order was taken, after 45 minutes waiting a member of staff came to the table and told me that they had run out of the Steak Pie.|No problem we said, just make the order 2 Scampi and chips. Another 25 minutes lapsed. When to the bar to enquire and was told the chef had lost our order and was it one child’s scampi and one adult meal . Not to worry there’s a McDonald’s just up the road.|What a sh… show of a place.|Avoid at all costs

Stayed here whilst attending an event at John Moore Foundation school, which is a 5 minute walk away - the hotel is in a really convenient location for many attractions nearby.|This hotel has obviously been refurbished recently, and whilst it's been done to a budget, it's perfectly adequate for what you need. The room facilities are decent, again on the basic side so don't expect a range of different teas and coffees, but if you want a cuppa you'll be able to get one. We had breakfast, which was suprisingly good quality. Overall this was excellent value and I'd stay here again if I was in the area.||Some suggestions for the hotel team - a blackout blind would've been nice for the rooms on the front of the hotel, facing the road - the sunrise in the morning comes through pretty strong!

Very convenient location for Twycross zoo. Desk and breakfast staff were great. Room was fine, shame the clean linens are put on the floor while waiting for guests to check out, therefore meaning they aren’t clean?? Gluten free options for breakfast clear on menu but not obvious on dinner menu so went elsewhere.

We love this place and return often. The food offer is amazing - large menu and freshly prepared in most cases. Very efficient and friendly staff. Would recommend booking if you want to eat as it is really popular !

Went for lunch. Difficult to find with Google maps as 2 exits of island very close together. Easy once you know. A bit of a rabbit Warren to find the loo. Many different levels. Food was lovely and fresh. Very good value prices. Will definitely go again now. I know where it is.

What a great hotel ! The room was clean, neutrally decorated, plush carpet. Roomy bathroom. The breakfast was great. Choice of sizes and catered for smaller appetites and veggie too. Alternative milk available. The young man serving breakfast was a delight. So smiley and friendly, Nothing was too much trouble. A credit to your team! Sorry I don't know his name. The lady was also loveley. My son approved of the play area at the back and ample parking. We diddnt eat there, but the meals we saw looked great. Happy to recommend and stay again if on that area.

A good stop off for some hearty food. I came here for the pub part, although from that experience I'd imagine that the hotel is, at the very least, clean and comfortable. Not a particularly stylish place but it was spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard with lovely warm and welcoming staff. At first blush I wasn't sure what to expect from the food, the menu had a busy brightly coloured approach which harkened back (worryingly) to the 90s. However I needn't have worried, I had the lamb shank off the specials board (maybe specials wall would be more appropriate) and it was a generous, hearty, tasty portion of home cooked food.

The Appleby Inn is a brilliant place to go with your family for dinner. The food is so, so tasty! You have to wait quite a long time for it but it is so worth it. I don't think I have every had a meal from there that isn't nice. It has recently been refurbished so there are alot more places to sit down to eat. I like that you pay for your food when you order it at the bar, so you don't have to wait to place your order, or wait around after for the bill. Highly reccommended pub, the service is great and the food is delicious!!

this is a very nice place to go for dinner. the service is very quick and the staff are kind and friendly. there is plenty of choice on the menu. all the food is freshly prepared. the quality of the food is great and it tastes great. this is worth a visit when you get chance

went to the appleby 2-10-10 it is the best sevice i have ever had top food good drinks prices fair keep it up we will come again.
