"Stepping inside feels like time travel back to the glory days of the 1980s at this playfully retro “Vermont Watering Hole” in Stowe’s Field Guide Lodge, complete with a colorful rumpus room vibe and vintage ski gear accented by pops of burnt orange. The family-friendly menu leans into comfort and nostalgia with charcuterie boards piled with Vermont cheeses, grilled cheese sandwiches made with Vermont cheddar on sourdough, Swedish meatballs, chili cheese dogs, deviled eggs, warm pretzels, and SpaghettiOs served either topped with a hot dog or with a side of Ritz crackers, plus DIY tabletop s’mores that practically invite a post-snack nap by the fireplace. Theee most elegant place this side of the east coast! Alexia was attentive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The ambiance serves the decor. It’s the kind of place you can bring your family (kids), your spouse (romantic) or your friends (social) and still have a great time. We were fortunate to experience the live open mic. The band was absolutely phenomenal!!! The food was great, drinks were great, service excellent, location- pleasantly surprising!! A gem in Vermont!

We stayed at their hotel and they have this nice bar. Good drink options. The menu is a lot of savory and salty food. They don't have a dessert menu. The drinks were good. You can bring your drinks to your room.

Great atmosphere with absolutely amazing live music, food’s a little pricey, but definitely high quality and the staff was nice + our food came out pretty quick and HOT DOG is it cozy.

Lovely spot for love music. We saw a 10 piece jazz band and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere after a day of skiing in sub zero temperatures.

This is THE spot and that is a hill I’m willing to die on. I expected a low key hotel bar but what I experienced was so much more. I truly felt transported to full on winter apres ski cozy hangouts with friends/family. This space is plentiful with a variety of comfortable and ample seating along with great decor and ambiance from staff and patrons alike. We were fortunate enough to visit on a night with live music which made the experience all the more unforgettable. While our order was simple, white wine and a s’mores board, it was fantastic. This will for sure be a crowd favorite !

It makes sense why this place wasn’t busy on a Friday night. The 2 bartenders were very rude and the food was mediocre but the atmosphere was decent. I won’t be coming back next time I’m in Stowe. The restaurant across the street called The Bench is way better but they had a 45 minute wait time so we went here instead

Hands down best family night for our family of 4...boys 10 and 12. Staff went above and beyond and gave us a special evening with roasting smores. This is a one of a kind place! Loved it!

This bar is super cool and definitely nailed the après ski vibe. I got an espresso martini that was good and they also had free apple cider which was delicious. Definitely would come back.

As a non-skier child of the 90's enjoying a weekend in Stowe, this is the perfect spot to talk the talk even though I can't ski the ski . Field Guide Lodge is such a cute boutique hotel , evoking the funky charm of an 80's/90's ski romp movie. Après only was cozy and nostalgic, with one of the aforementioned ski nostalgia movies playing in the background. As a foodie I hate to admit this, but the canned spaghettios with a hotdog served in fun old school Campbell's mug may have been the best thing I ate that weekend. I plan to stay there next time I visit and enjoy Après after not skiing .

We came to Apres Only after getting a long wait time at the restaurant across the street and we're so glad we did! The space is so cozy and fun. We got drinks and grabbed a game. We had to leave quickly but the charcuterie boards looked great. We'll definitely come back when we visit Stowe next fall! Thank you Maddie for the wonderful service also!
