Apricot Hotel

My overall review of Apricot Hotel is mixed, with both positives and negatives. Positives: The location is excellent, which is always my number one consideration when selecting a hotel in any foreign country other than Australia or China. The lobby is well presented, and the library on Level 9 is quiet and pleasant. The staff are friendly, and the shower room is very spacious, which I really appreciated. Negatives: Unfortunately, the room itself was quite dirty, with black marks and dust on the walls, and it smelled old and stuffy. When I requested a room change, I was told that no rooms were available due to peak season. While I understand the situation, I was not satisfied with the response. I was also disappointed upon entering the allocated room. I was placed on Level 4, and given my last name, I would have appreciated some sensitivity around room allocation. That said, I am not particularly superstitious, so this did not affect me significantly. Overall, the facilities, cleanliness, and experience of this hotel align more with a 3-4 star standard by Sydney benchmarks. On balance, the stay was acceptable, especially considering I paid only half of what I paid for my stay at the Sheraton in Ho Chi Minh City.

What a lovely hotel with a beautiful reception area. We arrived as a group from a long flight from the UK and were all given huge breakfast boxes. Our room 416 was very good with traditional decor and views over the lake and tea and coffee making facilities. The toiletteries were excellent. We had one problem that there was a Tai Chi class every morning at around 6.30 outside our window which woke us up. As a group we had a private dinner on the second evening which was excellent. We had beef on a wasabi vegetable base, beef salad which was massive, lobster bisque, grilled sea bream stuffed with vegetables followed by passion fruit cheesecake. All beautifully presented and tasting wonderful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very strong perfume smell in the room that was overwhelming. Group had 3 rooms, all had strong but different fragrances. Mine was the worst. They were great and sent a bellman to change our room but our new room also had strong perfume smell, just not as bad as the original. Beautiful hotel with great service, but maybe not if you are sensitive to perfumes/fragrances. Edit to add: Breakfast buffet was also very good. Massage services in the hotel were conveniently available until 11pm. Rooftop pool was too cold to use but the view from that area is stunning.

I recently stayed at Apricot hotel and had a very disappointing experience. My Dior belt missing in the hotel room. The belt was inside its original pouch, but when I unpacked at home, only the empty pouch remained—the belt was missing. I contacted the hotel immediately after discovering the issue. There was no response on the first day. Only after I asked my tour guide to call on the second day did the staff reply, and even then, the response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply stating they “could not find it.” I am deeply frustrated by: 1. The lack of prompt response to a guest’s concern. 2. The careless attitude toward lost property. 3. The complete absence of follow-up or effort to assist. A hotel that values its guests should take lost items seriously, especially valuables. Unfortunately, Apricot Hotel failed in every aspect.

I was staying there for business trip, it was typhoon and flood, but staying in the hotel was wonderful to push up my mood. I can see the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and the rain from the room, the service was great as well, I ate the food in the hotel but it was also very good. Room and facility were clean, very nice house keeper, Mr Tien - very good guy and care customer, he asked what can he help and guide me how to use the facility and share about the whether in HN during that days. Luckily, it was shining after 3 days and I had great trip to Hoa Binh with my team. Thank you great hotel location, food and service from Apricot!

The concierge, Le Quoc Huy is amazing. My dad left his cell in the car that took him to the airport. The concierge connected with the driver and arranged for the phone to get handed over to the airline help desk at the airport. The agents took his phone to the gate where he was once they received it. Above and beyond service and he refused to take any additional money/tip for going out of his way. They had an amazing breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, the hotel was clean and the service was incredible.

Very attentive. Fast and efficient staff. It was my mom’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make the day special. The staff are all friendly . When we needed a shower chair for our senior citizen mother, within minutes it came up to our room.  I felt that this small request made us feel extemely special to them. The door staff are so attentive and chatty. Its a good feel for making us so special.

We had the most wonderful week staying at the Apricot hotel. It was amazing to be there on September 2nd, 2025, and watch the fireworks display over the lake; what a viewpoint!! During our stay we experienced incredible service from the staff, going over and beyond our expectations. The location is fantastic, being so close to the lake, and many restaurants and attractions. Our room was lovely and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed out daily breakfast, and loved that our coffee order was remembered each morning 🥰.
