Stayed at Apsara Residence Hotel – Private Pool Villa, and overall it was an absolutely beautiful and comfortable experience. The staff members truly stood out they were super attentive, courteous, and consistently warm. There was a strong sense of personalized service, and you genuinely feel welcomed and well looked after throughout the stay. If I can rate the staff as 10, i would, this is definitely the beauty of the hotel.
One major highlight is the location. It is extremely convenient, within walking distance to Pub Street and surrounded by plenty of eateries, cafés, and massage spots. You can easily step out for food or nightlife and return to the villa without hassle, which adds a lot of value to the stay.
The villa itself was spacious, well designed, and thoughtfully laid out. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well set up for relaxation. The private pool is beautiful — not very large, but it has an excellent vibe and a relaxing layout that makes it great for chilling. That said, the pool water was surprisingly cold, making it hard to stay in for long, which slightly affected the experience.
almost perfect but comes with few small pet peeves worth noting. Toiletries are provided in very tiny bottles. Most hotels now offer larger pump bottles, which are more practical and less wasteful. Having to request refills repeatedly was a bit inconvenient, but the staff is very prompt. I never had to ask twice or repeat.
The shower head is positioned 90', forcing you to hold it the entire time rather than enjoying a hands-free shower. The rain shower was excellent though.
Another consideration is that there is no bathroom door at all, open concept. While this suits a romantic couple-style villa, it wouldn’t be practical if you’re sharing the space with friends, family, or children. Do take note if you are booking the pool villa.
Soundproofing is another weak point for a property positioned as 5-star. If you have early activities and plan to rest during the afternoon, noise can be very disruptive. Footsteps, door slamming, and noise from the outdoor pool — including people shouting or screaming — are clearly audible from inside the room. If you have low tolerance for noise and are seeking peace and quiet, this is something to seriously consider.
The room itself was clean and well maintained, although some outdoor areas show signs of ageing on walls and tiles, giving parts of the property a slightly dated feel. Power points were also limited, especially near the bed.
Despite these small setbacks, the stay was overall very enjoyable. The villa is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the service from the staff was genuinely warm and attentive, making it a comfortable and memorable stay overall.
p/s - as I've also left verbal feedback of the above during check-out and the manager reached out to me a day ago, thanking me for the stay and feedback. She also took it positively for improvement. I've never had someone reaching out like this, so I'm truly amazed by their hospitality.
