Magic Frames Apsara Theatre, located near Kozhikode Railway Station on Link Road, has been a prominent landmark in Kozhikode since its inception in 1971. Originally inaugurated by actors Prem Nazir and Sharada, the theatre was renowned for its 70mm screen and status as Kerala’s largest air-conditioned cinema at the time. 
Renovation and Reopening
After ceasing operations in May 2023, the theatre underwent significant renovations under the ownership of Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. Rebranded as Magic Frames Apsara, it reopened in May 2024 with enhanced features, including a 4K 70mm screen and Dolby Atmos sound system, aiming to provide an immersive cinematic experience.
