Apu Lodge

My partner and I spent four nights at Apu Lodge and loved it.||The lodge is located at the end of a quiet cobblestone street. It's foot traffic only, so if you need help with your luggage just contact Apu Lodge; they can bring out a wheeled cart. (They don't charge for this service but we did tip the gentleman who helped us out.) We loved being in this location: it's away from the main square which lends a tranquil environment which was always welcome after spending a day out and about. Yet it's a short (like 5 minutes) walk to the center of town.||The best part of staying here was that every morning felt like a dream. We would exit our room into the misty garden with striking mountain views all around. Flowers, hummingbirds, fruit trees, beautiful! Breakfast is in a very homey-feeling dining room and is very delicious. I loved the bread with butter and jam, and don't skip out on the orange juice! It's clearly made fresh. It was always such a lovely way to start out the day.||Another great feature was that there was a large dispenser of filtered water available in the lobby, as well as complimentary teas (including coca tea!). Being able to fill up our water bottles any time of day saved us a lot of hassle (not to mention some soles!)||The staff was great! Very helpful, attentive, and personable.||Stay at Apu Lodge!

My friend and I had a lovely stay at the Apu Lodge a few weeks ago! The lodge is located in a great part of town, close to great restaurants and the market. The lodge itself is beautiful. There is a garden outside with a large variety of colorful plants and flowers. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. The staff was wonderful and very hospitable. I would highly recommend staying in Ollantaytambo for your next visit to Machu Picchu, and cannot recommend the Apu Lodge enough!!!!

Beautiful and quaint hotel. The garden is amazing and it backs up to the ruins. It was a little haul to get to from the plaza since you have to walk but they were great at bringing our luggage. The rooms are no frills but clean and spacious. Great service too!

This place is absolutely lovely. The town is magical with its tiny ancient streets, and the ruins scattered on the surrounding hillsides. The lodge itself is really pretty. Depending on what you’re used to, you may find the beds a little hard and the bathrooms a little small, but the setting is idealistic, the rooms are charming, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is incredibly sweet and helpful. We had lost the email with our Machu Pichu tickets and the gentleman at the front desk made several phone calls for us, successfully recovered them, and printed them out. Highly recommended.

Apu Lodge is located in a charming and convenient area, about a few minutes walk down a cobblestone road from the main plaza. It is inaccessible by car from the plaza although the staff was able to assist us with our luggage. ||The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We enjoyed complimentary breakfasts in the lodge each morning, including early breakfasts on days when we had to leave early. The staff also offered a service where they did our laundry and delivered it dried and folded to us- so helpful!||The room was clean and comfortable. We had gorgeous views of Ollantaytambo and the ruins from our balcony - this was my favorite part!

Super comfortable, welcoming, and beautiful lodge! The staff was friendly and accommodating of our early check in and early breakfast too. It’s in the historic district in Ollantaytambo, so if you have a lot of luggage it’s a little hard to walk to with the cobblestones that aren’t good for rolling suitcases. However, the tucked away location also made it charming and quiet!

Apu Lodge was a perfect place to stay for our two nights in Ollantaytambo. The location is near the main square but far enough to be quiet at night. It is also very close to the hiking entrance for the free ruins across the town from the main archeological site. Our triple room on the second floor had nice views from the balcony, was very clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were all very nice. Breakfast was good too, with bread and delicious jams, made to order eggs with add-ins, fresh-squeezed juice, yogurt and granola, coffee/tea/hot milk. They were helpful in arranging transport from Cusco airport at a reasonable cost and had their porter meet us at the square to take our bags up to the lodge.

The service here was very friendly. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, the beds are comfortable and the setting is quiet and beautiful! The rooms have good WiFi. Staff arranged a wonderful tour of the Sacred Valley for us. They also provided an early breakfast on the day we went to Macchu Picchu. We loved this hotel
