We stayed here for a week in June and found this to be a really lovely hotel. We had a very nice room with excellent housekeeping. Great reception staff. Breakfast was brilliant with lots of choice, although the staff were very keen to seat you, rather than let you choose your own table - we just moved seats anyway and nobody seem to mind. My only gripe with breakfast was that there wasn’t a conveyor type toast machine - just a couple of four-slice toasters. This caused quite a bit of waiting around for toaster slots to become available.||This hotel is in the middle of the town and there is a lot of traffic noise. Cars and mopeds are passing by from dawn until dusk. Our room overlooked a Tapas bar so we also had a bit of noise coming from their garden on a night time too, as our balcony door wasn’t very soundproof.||The pool is nice but quite small and there isn’t a massive area around the pool. I only counted about 20 sun loungers which wasn’t many for a hotel of this size. Some days we went to the beach instead, just a short walk away, but the beach gets crowded and is very gravelly, so not terribly comfortable to lie on.|I personally didn’t like the music that the hotel was constantly playing in the public areas… big hits slowed down and sang R&B style in a Donald Duck voice! Maybe this is the latest trend or maybe they are trying to cater for everybody.||It’s worth noting that this is a very busy town with masses of shops and bars. The roads around the hotel are very narrow and not accessible to coaches. The transfer coach will drop guests on the main strip, a 10 minute walk away, so you do need to walk to and from the hotel through the streets.

The staff were so welcoming, gracious and helpful. We were late for the check out because of a misunderstanding and the receptionist handled it very well. The room service was readily available. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Aqua hotell has a perfect location close to the beach, the bus station, the city life and lots of food places including a supermarket. The decoration inside the hotell is very beautiful and good value overall for the money.

We’ve had a fabulous week at the hotel despite the weather and would definitely recommend, staff were friendly especially Maria (Carmen?) in the restaurant who was always very attentive. We’ve sat by the pool and in the bar (due to the weather) and always been well looked after, we booked through Jet2 All inclusive and had lots of lovely food with a variety of choice whilst the pool is small we’ve never had an issue getting a sunbed. It’s in a quieter part of town away from the strip and there is a square in front so would recommend you always walk with others not in your own for safety .. just like you would in the UK and have your wits about you.

Stayed here for a week with in-laws in May and at first impression was great! However, that soon turned to disappointed when I saw the size of the pool, the pool area and the amount of sun beds for the amount of guests that were there. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but the restaurant staff were very rude and at times made you feel like being half board was a burden to them. They only liked us when we ordered drinks that we had to pay for. No such thing as free water either, which I’m sure is illegal in Spain. Also the 2hrs for breakfast and dinner at the only restaurant in the hotel for all the guests was ridiculous. It made it very busy and then you felt rushed. They would take your plates literally in seconds after you finished. I’d seriously increase it to at least 3hrs to allow all guests time to enjoy their meals. Which brings me to the next point, the hot buffet meals weren’t exciting nor enjoyable as some meats weren’t even cooked properly. The pork dishes especially were undercooked. Nothing special to say other than the salad bar was good but then you can’t go wrong with that. |Breakfast was pretty much the same every day and nothing special, although finding Brussels sprouts, spring rolls or vegetables with your sausages was a bit odd. |The rooms were of a reasonable standard, nice shower, not enough power points, and the ones next to the television were at the wrong angle. Tv had Netflix and other apps but never worked. Noise from other rooms, corridors and outside was an issue most evenings. So not much sound proofing. No tea, coffee facilities. |Cleaner did do a great job at cleaning and providing clean towels etc. but the 1pm cleaning time was a bit too late. |No lovely views out on the balcony only the rear entrance of shops and bars. |The drinks from the bar were lovely but sometimes a bit slow in coming to your table so you had to go to the bar. |Unfortunately no evening entertainment nor atmosphere so never stayed too long. |Had room service once and ordered banana milkshakes and that was freshly made and delicious. (Probably cause we had to pay) |On our last day whilst waiting for our coach to arrive, the children (3 of them) and the adults stayed in the bar and had drinks, whilst playing pool. This was around 3/4pm and when one of the children potted a ball naturally we all cheered and the bar man told us off for being too loud! It’s ironic considering the amount of noise the other guests were making late at night or early hours of the morning. Not sure what they would have done if the football was on?! |So I don’t think it warrants a 4 star and I definitely think some improvements need to made to retrieve that. I wouldn’t return or recommend as I’m not sure what type of guests they’re trying to accommodate.

I came to Aqua Bertran hotel for a vacation to celebrate my father's birthday. However, upon returning from the beach on the third day, I discovered that over 1000 euros had been stolen from my room. It appears that this happened during my time at the beach when the room was being cleaned, as the remaining bills in my wallet were damp. When I approached the hotel administrator about this, he shrugged and said he couldn't help and wouldn't even speak to the cleaning staff. I would not recommend anyone to experience such an event at this terrible hotel, where the entire staff is absolutely indifferent to what happens to you, and people do not consider a 4-star hotel to be associated with safety. Additionally, people at the hotel are completely open to the possibility that someone could have climbed through my window, and the hotel staff didn't care, saying that security at the hotel is only provided at night. Also, the woman at the reception not only refused to help but also rudely and loudly insisted that they have the best staff and accused us of hiding our money ourselves.

The hotel and the facilities it offers are actually quite good for the price paid. Nice lobby and bar area.||We had multiple rooms and found some to be better than others even though they were the same style. Note if your in a party it could be you a separated as the hotel is spread across the walkway.||The cleaners did a good job and provided plenty of towels.||The downsides, at night the noise due to the location can be loud as the pavement outside sees lots of use as a cut through. I would argue it would put me off staying if we didn’t go out at night.||The issues we found was general rude staff and an intolerance to us from the minute we arrived with check in taking over half an hour and us having to find someone to check us in.||Then on numerous occasions at night when arriving back from coming out we were told in a trhreataning manner not to make noise, we felt the staff should maybe be told the tone at which they speak to customers with needs to be improved. The same as the pool we had visited the shops before going to the pool (sunbeds are awful and uncomfortable).||Upon returning without warning we were accosted by the bar staff saying and pointing Rudely at us to take our bags away even though we had gone to the bar to buy drinks.||( a water €4 euros another joke)||I understand they will have challenging guests and as a group we may laugh more etc but the judgement we felt were received was unjust. To the point we tried to avoid reception or asking for help.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. It happened that one afternoon, I decided to go back to the hotel while my friend was doing shopping. I didn't have the key so I asked another key to go to my room. The receptionist said he couldn't give me another key as it was the Hotel policy: 1 key for 1 bedroom? I am still shocked. The man and the girl at the Reception desk were quite rude.|The man offered to open the door of the bedroom, which he did, and left me inside, with obviously no electricity! So I went down again waiting for my friend, and the key.|I worked in the hotel industry for more than 35 years, and it's the first time that a hotel gives only ONE key for the bedroom. Hotel policy!|A part from that, the bed wasn't made properly, the floor and carpet were dirty, dust and hair from previous customers.|Not a very good experience.

The hotel is located 10 minuted walk from the coach drop off point as the streets are too narrow to accommodate large vehicles. This is a difficult walk if you have a mobility restriction or young children & cases to manage.||Hotel itself is basic-think Travellodge rather that 4 Star||Rooms are adequate but noisy as there is no soundproofing between rooms. Stayed 10 days with no change of bedding. Beds were made daily, clean towels provided & bathroom floor washed.||Food- booked for bed & breakfast, however only took breakfast a few mornings. Poor selection, hot food was always cold.||Bar was clean & well presented||None of the bar staff spoke any English & even the receptionists had very little English which made it difficult to communicate.||On the evening before we were due to leave the hotel. My husband was mugged & robbed & beaten to the ground right outside the hotel. When I got my husband into the hotel & asked for help the receptionist refused to call the police for us & told us we should walk to the police station to make a report. My husband was in shock, dazed & bleeding & we were offed no assistance whatsoever. ||This was a terrifying experience, made worse by the way we were completely disregarded by the hotel staff.||This attack happen at 17.30pm in broad daylight. I feel that this is an unsafe area & could not possibly recommend this hotel or the area around it as a suitable location to spend time in.
