my friends and i came to this hotel for a long weekend, i’ve broke down my review into sections as there was only one part that really let the hotel down.||room / decor / cleanliness: room was lovely, hotel is decorated nicely and the hotel was kept clean. beds were comfortable. one thing i would recommend, although there are hairdryers in the room they aren’t very powerful so i’d recommend still bringing your own.||food and drink: very good, we had breakfast included and it was good quality and variety, service was efficient and everything was good standard. we did notice that the ingredients of cocktails seemed to change depending on which bar staff were on shift. they were always nice but not always what you were expecting to get. ||location: the hotel is well situated close to shops, bars clubs and restaurants, and the beach.||staff / customer service: other than one member of bar staff and one reception staff Saleh, it was the customer service of the staff that let this hotel down. i normally will tell a hotel directly if i have a problem with the service, however the hostile behaviour of the staff made me feel unable to do so. i complete understand that hotels have to have rules and agree that those rules should be respected. my issue is the manner in which those rules were enforced. we witnessed staff speak to guests in an rude and overly harsh tone which was unnecessary for the gravity of the issue e.g. jumping into the pool or drinking a drink they hadn’t bought from the hotel. it set an uncomfortable atmosphere for trying to relax on holiday. we also felt that there were different standards for different guests. we were reminded on multiple occasions again in a rude manner about quietness at night time, however we were disturbed several times by other people in the hotel being loud at unreasonable hours which staff seemed to do nothing about. we also noticed staff leave the hotel to tell guests who were on the street to stop being loud which seemed unreasonable. ||in conclusion, staff attitudes have let the hotel down and it will put off customers from returning. i’ve noticed that this is a common theme in hotel reviews so know it is not a me problem, it is a problem with the staff.
