Aqua Lounge

Amazing place to stay in Bocas! The setting is beautiful, and the room with the terrace and ocean view was perfect. The vibe is chill and the team is awesome. Huge thanks to Galen, Nicole, and Alonzo for being so kind and welcoming throughout the stay. Highly recommend this spot!

Had an amazing time at the hostel! Ray and Nicole were great staff members and helped us during the week. We had nice evenings together with the group we met there and the volunteers were also very nice. Would recommend!

On the whole, pretty underwhelmed. We arrived at Aqua Lounge, the receptionist was downright unfriendly. We were told our room wasn't ready to check in until 3pm, completely fine with this we asked if there was anywhere we could drop our bags off to where we were gestured sullenly round the corner to a dingy corner behind reception where various things are clearly discarded. We needed change for the water taxi, the receptionist refused and told us to go ask at the bar where noone was serving. I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes before they informed me they also did not have change. Which isn't overly helpful but I suppose it happens on islands. So as a result, our first impressions didn't exactly make us feel welcomed. Our room was a windowless box down some stairs, we weren't planning on being in the room much so it wasn't the end of the world but definitely incentivised us to spend as little time as possible at Aqua Lounge. The real kicker was seeing a dog poo on the floor of the restaurant for 2/3 hours while various members of staff were stood behind the bar not doing anything about it and clearly hoping someone else would. I had no issue with the loud music as that is pretty clear if you do any research but the general unfriendliness of the staff and unwelcoming nature of the hostel really shocked me from a "party hostel"

Aqua Lounge is a really social place with an amazing location right on the water. It’s great for meeting people and has a fun atmosphere. Rooms are basic and it can get loud at night, but if you’re there to have a good time, it’s a solid choice.

My friend and I had a great experience at Aqua lounge. It is very much a party hostel so lots of music, activities etc and the rooms are basic but overall great for its location, views and good vibes. Special thank you to Ray, Michael and Nicole for being so helpful during our stay! Gracias 😊👏🏻

We came early on a Friday, were told it was fine to have a drink before the event started to watch the sunset. After ordering and paying for six gin tonics, we were suddenly forced to pay €15 each or leave without finishing our drinks. This while we could have easily finished the drinks before people even started arriving. The staff was so unfriendly that we felt completely unwelcome. Not a place you’d ever want to return to. To make things worse, the bar wasn’t worth it either: dirty bathrooms and a dull atmosphere. Avoid this place if you care about, hospitality and basic respect. The floating bar just in front has a much nicer vibe.

Excellent place, great party and fun. Ray and Nicole were excellent staff members, very accommodating. Only downside was I woke up with a table in my bed. Amazing otherwise tho

The food was decent, and the cocktails were good, but unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the water taxi. The waitress suggested we take the boat, which was waiting at the dock. However, the person operating the taxi tried to scam us, claiming the boat needed fuel. He then took us to a different location and asked for $10 per person. When we asked to be taken back to Bocas, he still charged us $2 per person, even though we didn’t go to the place we initially agreed on. While this might not be the restaurant's fault, they should consider using official water taxis to avoid such situations.
