I appreciate the small boutique aspect of the Aqua Mariana Beach Club. This small quaint beach resort is directly across the street from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity as well. You can walk or drive to the local town square. When we arrived it was too early for check in, however we were able to store our bags and headed to the beach until our room was ready. The room was clean and well equipped for our party. The room temperature was comfortable. The host and other resort staff were super nice and accommodating. The bar was cute. The pool was amazing 🤩 We booked through a third party and didn’t realize kids were not allowed. Rather than kicking us out, we were asked to sign waivers for our teens. During our stay on the island, the power went out, but Aqua Marian Beach Club was prepared with a generator. Honestly, I can’t say one bad thing about this place. On my next trip to PR, I plan to stay here again.

If this hotel has a “no service dogs” policy, it absolutely needs to be clearly stated on the website and any event-related pages. Turning someone away at the last minute because of a service animal was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. Accessibility is another major issue, there are stairs everywhere, and no bathrooms on the upper event space. If you have mobility challenges, this venue may not be suitable. Regarding the Croqueta Coquetta Show: we purchased VIP tickets but were moved to the very back due to the service dog situation. The seating offered zero visibility. Unless the performers came all the way to the back, which only a few did, we saw nothing. A refund would be appropriate under these circumstances. The only highlight of the evening was the food from Passiflora, absolutely delicious and the sole reason we stayed.

Outstanding experience at this boutique hotel. ||Friendly responsive staff. Giovonni at the bar was excellent as well as Elizabeth with reception and service. ||Owners extremely helpful, knowledgeable on local culture and activities. ||Extra large rooms with separate sitting area. Recently renovated. ||Beautiful pool bar and open front bar. Many private seating areas. ||Fantastic location. Walk to beach. Horse back riding at front door. ||Will definitely stay here again. Loved it.

The beach is steps from my room. Very clean 👌 staff is lovely. Quiet, romantic if that's what you're looking for but also looks like a great place t o plan a fun adult friend / family get away!. Everything is close by. Adventure , relax , Playa!!!

Wonderful staff. Nicely renovated rooms. Several bar/restaurant areas. Great for family events with several gathering spots on property. Giovanni is probably the best bartender on the island. Also is an avid diver and snorkel guide.

These are private estates so definitely have pictures debt to you and negotiate your price. The city of ricon is an amazing destination and you will love your villa. Just a few minutes from downtown.

This hotel is a great value when compared to chain hotel rates in the island. Good balance between excellent rooms with confortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and small footprint with a large enough pool and tiki bar area, but small enough to feel like a private home if you happen to have the pool to yourself. The hotel is largely quiet Mon-Thu and then becomes alive during the weekends. Drawbacks: within the cove where the hotels is located there are few acceptable options for lunch or dining. The few eateries around it were either closed or of limited options to rely on them for any of the meals of the day. That means driving 1.3 miles into town or the adjacent area excellent restaurants. There are plenty of those and the food quality and variety is worth exploring around. For breakfast we can recommend: Cafe 413 in downtown Rincon; or Panaderia Ricomini (just outside town on its main road. For lunch, there are many kiosks/food trucks around each of the beaches. For dinner; explore around Rincon, Aguada, Añasco, Aguadilla y Mayaguez. Best seafood this side of the Island? Travel a bit more to Joyuda and Cabo Rojo. We tend to prefer Annie’s Place in Combate Beach. Excellent place that has remained consistently above average over the last 20 years. Dependable with a great setting is all it takes. Parking is a bit of a challenge and expect some walking to from your precious parking spot around the beachside township (poblado).

No customer service, lack of amenities in the hotel. Left several messages for someone to contact me. Bugs were everywhere, bartenders, and cashier were not helpful nor they were informative about anything in the property. Aqua Marina beach club need to do better

Yelp
Awful. Stay away. Unsafe. Stayed here to try a new place and they are operating their hotel very poorly. I've stayed in many places and this has been by far the most concerning. Not to mention, they try to up charge for things like early check in and events you didnt order. Things that did not work: 1. Non-function toilet * No hotel staff was on premise to remediate from approximately 10 PM - 8 AM * Emergency/web site phone # went to voice mail during these evening/morning hours * No plunger was in the room 2. Leaking sink * Bathroom sink leaked in the bathroom, requiring us to clean up and then not use 3. As noted, no hotel staff was on site work from approximately 10 PM - 8 AM, that being said ironically there was construction that began at approximately 6:45 AM to refinish the bar adjacent to the room that I was staying in I addressed these issues with the office/front desk person when she returned at approximately 9 AM. She referred me to their new general manager who was not available to noon.  I spoke to this general manager at approximately noon via phone and he committed to speak to his colleagues and apologized for these issues, he also identified that he was hired explicitly hired to fix the customer service issues at this hotel. This is a zero-star review. Trip advisor is on their door as a badge of merit. This is the second time on the trip where I've experienced poor quality with Tripadvisor high marks.

Yelp
I come to Rincon every year and decided to try the revamped Hotel now called Aqua marina. The office smells like someone just smoked a blunt and then sprayed perfume to cover it up. Speaking of spraying, exterminators were walking around the property killing the cucarachas like a scene out of men in black. I unfortunately ate here and all I know is if you see them where the kitchen isn't, there's tons where the kitchen is! There's minimal privacy here as they have more cameras than the MGM casino in Vegas. What happened to this being a laid back, family town? This establishment does not fit the tone of the area especially since it is family oriented and they enforce a strict no kid policy (despite their website saying kids welcome). Pros - kitchen is advertised open till 9 but actually isn't so I was saved from eating another cucaracha meal Cons- hotel not appropriate for town. just turn this into a family hotel, don't serve food until you no longer need an exterminator and be nicer to the businesses and people of Rincon who have been there prior to your establishment coming to town.

Yelp
Review for those considering on coming here to celebrate a bachelorette, wedding, or a weekend away. DONT. Came here with friends after decided not to follow through with our house rental and boy was that a mistake. The house rental meant we would have to stock our own food and toiletries and that still ended up being the case for us. We also liked the idea of having staff at a hotel but just like a rental, you're on your own after 9. Cross your fingers and pray nothing goes wrong or that you don't run out of hot water and toilet paper like us. We were convinced by the staff that their pool parties get busy and the only way to secure space by the pool was to rent a cabana in advance. We agreed to rent one but then was advised we have 8 people which would call for two cabanas. The total was $789 for this rental and supposedly came with drinks, food, cake and bachelorette party decor for the day (along with a server). The day of our "pool party" came and no one was at the pool. Basically, we were paying $789 to sit at the same seats as the day prior except we were gonna be served and have bachelorette decor. As of 10am when this was supposed to start, there was no decor on the cabana. We asked the front desk to switch our day and she reminded us they are doing this at no additional cost- no additional cost for what? They didn't even have the cabanas decorated so this would have been in their favor. The next day... same thing! She told us that people are gonna come meanwhile I have spoke To locals who said they have not seen that place or pool busy in months and suggested we go to another pool where there was an actual party, a live dj and no cover charge! The owner has been requested by phone number numerous times and she does not return calls and the hotel basically told us to eat our way into the $789 we paid because they aren't refunding it. We cannot eat $789 in one day if we tried! If you're having a wedding here please note there are cockroaches all around and even in the pool. Another thing to note is that they are still working on rooms and you can hear tapping and banging from the rooms that are not yet complete. The food says it's open at 9 but it was not, it's advertised you can eat until 9pm but you can't find anyone! Upon arrival they knew we had an off hour check in and they never reset the doors with the codes they gave us and we were locked out. No one is conveniently on the premises and so calling in the middle of the night led us to a lot of voicemails before we were able to get through. Overall this place just needs to do better. I don't always agree that the customer is right but if we laid out $789 for a service that we didn't receive, refund us! Don't throw an unsigned contract specific to hosting parties at the party our way to avoid the refund as the terms and info on that unsigned contract were not applicable to what we wanted. Highly recommend that you rent an air bnb or another hotel as the price you pay for this hotel does not match what you get. The photos online are proof that no one comes here and so the vacancy should be telling enough. Also, don't be fooled like we were when reviewing the live stream from this place, only time they have people here is when they have live music for a few hours then everyone runs off the property I am more than sure the owner will respond to me now that my experience is public. If anyone needs proof of any of the details feel free to message me and I can share past, current and final correspondence along with photos.

Yelp
Giovanni at bar is wonderful. Elizabeth at front desk is so very accommodating. Everything was wonderful. I would stay here again a thousand times over. It was a special and wonderful experience.

Yelp
Crucero Seafood Grill at Aqua Marina Beach club is a must! All fresh seafood made to order. Impeccable service by Alex and Jessica. Dishes were well prepared and delicious.

Yelp
Our server and hostess were wonderful! Very attentive and fun. We'll be back during our next visit to Rincon.

Yelp
If you looking for a nice spot look no further. The owners Carmen and Tim are super sweet! I can't wait to come back. I've had so much fun relaxing and swimming in the pool. Of course had some amazing drinks and yummy food. You want to try Carmen's wabble bread! It's gluten free and taste amazing.

Yelp
Horrible beyond words. No HOT water, as if hot water is an amenity at $295 a night. Offered to be put into a different room with you guessed it, no hot water. How does that solve the problem? The owner Carmen that we spoke to, who was in Miami, was rude placing the blame on everyone else, including the city of Rincon. Instead of taking responsibility, she continued a barrage of lies and did not let us speak and clearly didn't care to hear our side. Read her bio. She is no way qualified to run a hotel and it shows. I've been in hospitality for 20 years and the service she gave was appalling. The Marriott had hot water. Her excuse: welcome to Puerto Rico. Sometimes we don't have the same amenities as New York. Really? No. You just don't know how to run a hotel. Period. End of story. Go back to decorating things. Bio below in pic. Another person passing themselves off like they know hospitality or thinking....(hey! It'd be fun to run a hotel and restaurant) and failing miserably. By the way Carmen, it's a lot of work. Also she doesn't think too highly of Puerto Rico. Saying there's never electricity or water. She said don't come here if you're looking for those types of things. Come to Aqua Marina if you want horrible service, cold showers and an empty pool bar with garbage out in the open on the side of the steps. Update: we checked into rincon of the seas (THE SAME DAY) and guess what, they had hot water. Carmen blamed the city for these issues. Instead the blame is on her for not keeping the property up to standard. Warning: She has a clause in her rules that if you're rude, you don't get a refund. This is her way of dismissing unhappy guests without a refund. She basically was texting us non stop about how rude we were. I didn't realize that a simple complaint was being rude especially if you can't shower for 2 days. Instead of fixing the problem, she generates more problems. She is the worst at customer relations I have ever experienced. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Yelp
My friend and I love a good hotel pool club so we checked this place out for lunch after horseback riding nearby. The vibes were immaculate. Amazing music, gorgeous pool, and plenty of places to sit and lay out. The manager was super friendly - we really enjoyed talking to him and hearing about all the plans they have for this spot! Apparently a jacuzzi is being put in soon. The drinks and food were delicious and we were delighted to receive a free ferrer rocher type frozen treat. We can't wait to come back here, great spot for groups.

Yelp
Not good. They took the old Blue Boy Inn and made a horrible mess of it. The owners seem totally inept to me. Too bad because it is a good location and it was a very nice inn before the current ownership.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at the bar today coming from the beach after snorkeling at the marina. Jessica was our bartender and was very kind as well as beautiful. Excellent nachos. Wonderful drinks. The rum punch Pirahna fish bowls were tasty and had a great look and style. Met the owners as well. Very informative. Tim and Carmen were very welcoming and their story of development and building their dream was very motivating and exceptional. The conceptual ideology they perceived for not only all genders, but their inclusion of disabled individuals is to be commended in our modern world. They really thought of everything! I highly recommend Aqua Marina Beach Club to any and all people! A week long stay at the Hacienda, an afternoon at the pool, a fine dinner or a mid day drink....this place has it all!

Yelp
My family and I enjoy our beautiful time at the Aqua Marina Beach Club. From the management to the staff they go out of their way to make your vacation a one you have a great time. The food was superb. The Gelato and coffee shop great stop in the morning for coffee and breakfast and in the evening Gelato . At the bar the enjoy the cocktail with ceviche, what a treat. Do your self a favor and visit the Aqua Marina Beach Club you will enjoy every minute there.

Yelp
Vacation is supposed to be a time of peaceful relaxation - NOT IF YOU STAY HERE!! Carmen, the absentee owner will make every excuse for the lack of service, including hot water. She simply blames it on the island of Puerto Rico. When you pay $300 per night, in the very least, you should have hot water on a daily basis. Although she tried to blame it on the island, we called 5 other nearby hotels and subsequently checked into one, and they all had hot water. In addition, Carmen has created a way to not process valid refunds by texting you for "her records, stating "you were rude and threatening to my staff..., we will call the police"... even if you are not rude or don't even raise your voice, she will create a whole fabricated story via text communication so she may use that as proof to one of "her" rules listed on the website "Rudeness to staff or guests is not acceptable. We reserve the rights to cancel your reservation without a refund if this rule is broken." Basically, she is a con-artist using the system not to process a valid refund, although of course, she said she would process the refund as long as we removed the Google review. We were scheduled for a 7 night stay and only stayed 1 night due to the unavailability of hot water and the fact that she didn't offer any resolution (besides offering us the room next door with no hot water, not sure how that would solve the problem), did not accept any responsibility or even a complimentary beer - NOTHING!! She stated "I have video proving there is hot water", really....? Now, I have to fight the charge with my credit card company. The pictures on the website are a clear example of staging at its finest for the mere purpose of enhancing their website. It doesn't look anything like that, it's rundown and boring. The room in of itself, was nothing to be excited about either - no view at all, several blocks from the ocean, small place in the middle of a rundown street with a nice view of mounds of garbage, pool was small and extremely cold (not surprised since there isn't any hot water). There are advertisements posted with all these fun activities, but there wasn't even any staff working. The only thing going on that week was a paid ($75) event how to learn crypto which was hosted in the pool area, taking away from your space that you paid $300 a night for. Outdoor bar was closed, no food service - seriously, so many other better places in the near vicinity at more reasonable rates, don't waste your hard-earned vacation dollars on this sub-par piece of hell, you would be doing yourself such a grave injustice!

Yelp
Our stay at Aqua Marina Beach Club far exceeded all expectations. I can confidently say this will always be our #1 pick any time we visit Rincon. Here is why: The Property: The property is unlike any other I have seen in Rincon. The rooms are clean, modern and the beds are SO comfortable. The pool/bar area is such a cool vibe and played amazing music. We had intended on setting out to explore Rincon all weekend but hanging out in the pool was way more enjoyable than anything else we did the entire time. They also have a few different sections with different seating areas - such as the hot tub deck, zen garden and cocktail lounge. It is in an ideal location - we hung out in the pool all day then walked down to the oceanfront bars for sunset. Everything we needed was a short walk away and you feel like you're in the center of everything. The Staff: From the second we arrived to the late check-out on our last day, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The owner, Carmen, is simply incredible. She helped us snag reservations at an unbelievable dinner (Taste) which ended up being the best meal we had during our 5-week stay in Puerto Rico - she hooked it up!!! On two separate occasions, we were having trouble getting a cab to dinner so Carmen offered to drive us there and pick us up after. She mentioned they are in the process of getting a shuttle service which will be HUGE for guests. But I have never had an owner personally drive her guests - it was unbelievable service and such a personal touch getting to know her so well. She even gave us her number during our stay so we could contact her at any time if we needed anything. The Bar: The bar serves amazing cocktails and we had a great time getting to know the bar tender (Mia!) and all of the staff. They made us fresh, unique cocktails and even a few off-menu creations that we requested. It is also a hot spot for locals. The day after we had our amazing dinner at Taste, we met the chef who was having a drink at the pool bar next to us! The Food: We enjoyed our daily complimentary breakfast here so much! They have incredible omelets and so many keto-friendly and low-card treats! They also have snacks and bottled beverages available for purchase which is a great amenity to have at any hotel. The Fun: We had a great time experiencing some of the fun events that the hotel planned while we were there. Our favorite was the personal salsa lesson we had in the afternoon. The lessons were free for any guests who wanted to learn some moves from a local dance instructor. They also had ladies' night (discounted cocktails) and a few other events. It was such a great way to bring guests together and was one of the best memories of our trip. The Main Takeaway: BOOK THIS HOTEL! You will not be disappointed. We had the most incredible time and we will be coming back very soon! Thank you, Carmen! We love you!!!!!

Yelp
My partner and I stayed at the Aqua Marina Beach Club (formerly Blue Boy Inn) right before their grand opening. Due to our timing, we had the entire property to ourselves. From the minute we stepped onto the property, we felt the warm and positive vibes immediately. Carmen and her colleagues were extremely inviting and hospitable, and the level of care and detail in which they provided were amazing. We could tell right away that Carmen and her crew deeply care about their patrons, and making their experience exquisite. The room itself (much like the entire property) was extremely clean, decorated fabulously, and spacious. COVID-19 protocols were taken very serious by all, and we felt incredibly comfortable. Honestly, there were no drawbacks to staying here (other than some might prefer beach access, but the beach is a very quick walk away)! Highlights of Aqua Marina Beach Club: -excellent service and attentive staff -full bar and awesome bartender -lovely foliage and plants EVERYWHERE -unbeatable location -healthy and delicious food (from smoothies to pasteles, they have it all) -pool area is clean and well kept -beach and restaurants are nearby and very convenient Overall, our stay was very romantic and relaxing. The Aqua Marina Beach Club definitely caters to those seeking a tranquil and relaxing stay, with a huge focus on health and wellness. We will be back :)

Yelp
Aqua Marina saved us! Our rental on Booking.com cancelled the day before our stay at the beach in PR which we learned after we landed in San Juan. After spending the whole evening trying to find a place for our beach weekend I called Aqua Marina Fri am and we lucked out! They had a room for us and let me tell you, this is WAY nicer than what I had booked originally! The hotel is new, so it's clean and pretty. The staff is super friendly, it has all the amenities, and breakfast is included! This place is a hidden gem and I don't even want to tell you about it because I want to be sure they will have a room for us when we come back!!! Gracias por todo Aqua Marina y bien hecho!

Yelp
The Wabbles food and service needs some help, a sandwich and personal pizza both on bubble bread took 45 minutes & 50 mins to deliver to the table (they were not served at the same time) plus there were no forks or napkins until after they left the food and we had to hunt down the service for utensils and napkins. The cilantro sandwich had minimal chicken and not a hint of cilantro on the 1st half and only tomato and lettuce on the 2nd half. The pizza was not hot but the fajita plate it came on was. It looks like they've recently opened and are still working the kinks out. The ambiance was very nice... we ate poolside.

Yelp
The Aqua Marina Beach Club by far is the best place in Rincon, the ambiance, food, the hotel rooms, the pool bar, jacuzzi are absolutely amazing! The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate and they have amazing hospitality! The cocktails are the best in Rincon and they even have fresh fruit juice and of every kind, tamarindo, ginger, watermelon, guava, orange juice, and the list goes on! They have healthy options for vegans as well and they air fry all of their French Fries and home fries! The yuca bread is to die for! I have lived in Puerto Rico for quite some time, and this was the best I have been treated! All of the beautiful details in the hotel rooms and they are so clean!!!! I will forever come here and recommend everyone to come here because you will leave feeling super happy and relaxed! The one thing I need to mention is there was horse manure around the area, in the entrance of the beach and around all of the restaurants In the area, not sure why nobody cleans this or why the environmentalists aren't paying attention to this and testing the waters to see the damage it's doing to our beaches and water. but that was my only complaint, other then that I would give this beautiful oasis 10 stars!

Rebecca C.

Yelp
A magical place fit for kings and queens. I know this gem was a special place and the chariots didn't miss a step you can see by the horse droppings in front of the property and on the beach. There was horse droppings were spread from the beach shore to the entrance /exit of the beach and up the whole road. It didn't stop there. Upon our arrival we had an incident where our car ran over horse feces as we parked our car leaving the beach which is directly across the street. It was EVERYWHERE. It trailed along the whole beach parking lot. We were not to happy when we got here but that quickly changed once we entered the property. The ambiance hospitality food and service were one of the few things to name. The entire place is decked out to a modern bohemian oasis. There's a great crowd that comes in as we've met people from all different backgrounds. It's truly rincons most welcoming place. This is a vibe you can't deny.
