Vacation is supposed to be a time of peaceful relaxation - NOT IF YOU STAY HERE!!
Carmen, the absentee owner will make every excuse for the lack of service, including hot water. She simply blames it on the island of Puerto Rico. When you pay $300 per night, in the very least, you should have hot water on a daily basis. Although she tried to blame it on the island, we called 5 other nearby hotels and subsequently checked into one, and they all had hot water.
In addition, Carmen has created a way to not process valid refunds by texting you for "her records, stating "you were rude and threatening to my staff..., we will call the police"... even if you are not rude or don't even raise your voice, she will create a whole fabricated story via text communication so she may use that as proof to one of "her" rules listed on the website "Rudeness to staff or guests is not acceptable. We reserve the rights to cancel your reservation without a refund if this rule is broken." Basically, she is a con-artist using the system not to process a valid refund, although of course, she said she would process the refund as long as we removed the Google review. We were scheduled for a 7 night stay and only stayed 1 night due to the unavailability of hot water and the fact that she didn't offer any resolution (besides offering us the room next door with no hot water, not sure how that would solve the problem), did not accept any responsibility or even a complimentary beer - NOTHING!! She stated "I have video proving there is hot water", really....? Now, I have to fight the charge with my credit card company.
The pictures on the website are a clear example of staging at its finest for the mere purpose of enhancing their website. It doesn't look anything like that, it's rundown and boring. The room in of itself, was nothing to be excited about either - no view at all, several blocks from the ocean, small place in the middle of a rundown street with a nice view of mounds of garbage, pool was small and extremely cold (not surprised since there isn't any hot water). There are advertisements posted with all these fun activities, but there wasn't even any staff working. The only thing going on that week was a paid ($75) event how to learn crypto which was hosted in the pool area, taking away from your space that you paid $300 a night for. Outdoor bar was closed, no food service - seriously, so many other better places in the near vicinity at more reasonable rates, don't waste your hard-earned vacation dollars on this sub-par piece of hell, you would be doing yourself such a grave injustice!
