Aqua Palace Hotel (Venice, Veneto) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Uncommon luxury awaits at Venice’s Aqua Palace in the city’s Castello quarter. True to its name, this four-story palazzo hotel sits atop one of the city’s famous canals. The hotel’s luxe rooms and suites feature canal views and sumptuously elegant rooms designed with soft lighting and are decorated in luxurious, deep colors with antique furniture. Staff is capable of anything, including champagne, flowers, and a personal paparazzo to commemorate an occasion. And the location, not far from the Piazza San Marco, means everything you’re here to do and see is within a short stroll or a quick hop on a gondola." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel was amazing! Beautiful inside and out. Just on the canal, very central which was very convenient. |The staff were both polite and helpful, especially the lovely lady at breakfast and several of the reception team. Nothing was too much trouble. We found both rooms very comfortable, with not too much noise, considering being in the city centre. We sometimes heard the boats going passed especially early morning as they dropped off all the supplies and took away the rubbish. So much nicer than traffic noise, which you get in almost every other city. |All in all 10 out of 10 and we are very pleased with chose this hotel. We just left today and even though 2 nights was great another night would have been even better : )

Excellent hotel. We felt so welcome since the moment we entered. The staff is lovely, especially the gentleman who helps carry your bags to your room. Beds are comfortable and they keep it clean. Nice breakfast as well. Most of all, the location is convenient and can’t be beat! My only complaint would be that a lot of noise was coming through from the other rooms. Eventually it stopped but it hindered our sleep for a bit.

The Aqua Palace is ideally located for visiting Venice and provides a very great base from which to explore. The rooms are very comfortable with lots of space - many have views directly on to a canal. Bathroom facilities are good and the breakfast was excellent. All staff we met were helpful and polite - special thanks to the breakfast team.

Great location - easy to reach main sites and the public transport. They arranged (for a fee) transfer from airport with taxi and water taxi which was great (but on way out due to tides this wasn’t able to be done, but easy to get vaparetto at 5 min walk. The staff were friendly. Rooms were great. Breakfast was so good! Thanks

I thank Roberto for a smooth check-in on the late evening of our arrival due to the gusty winds and uncomfortable rains that necessitated our holding off taking the water taxi to our hotel. Leo @breakfast time was tops: accommodating, personable and professional. Giancarlo was great with information we needed. Giorgio, not so. He was surly and not so helpful when we talked about the water taxi we needed to catch our flight. There was a high tide and so on and so forth. When I got tired of his surliness, his lack of helpfulness, I walked off when he wouldn't give me his name when I repeatedly asked for it. I asked one of the staff for it and got it of course. While at breakfast, he came in and apologized to me. Then he helped us out with our water taxi request at the time we preferred. Don't really know why he said it wasn't possible in the first place. Go figure. The hotel is dark but I think that's how it is in Venice hotels. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable, I liked our bathroom, the amenities and the welcome touch. I liked the tasteful sitting area outside our suite/at the every landing, even if it was dark. It was a good idea to schedule our breakfast since the dining area is pretty small but really nice, with good breakfast offerings and accommodating wait staff (especially Leo). I liked the location of this hotel : near to shops, even if getting there from Piazzale Roma required expert maneuvering of water taxi drivers. A lot of positives about this hotel, one minor negative incident that got ironed out.

Google
Amazing hotel with exceptional staff right in the heart of Venice! I would highly recommend anyone coming to Venice to stay here. We didn’t land until 10:30pm and checked in at 12am to a very friendly concierge who provided a map and information of what is around. The room was comfortable with curtains blacking out any sun for a great sleep! It was quiet and very comfortable experience. The hotel is conveniently only a 5 minute walk to the piazza and lots of other attractions. I would highly recommend staying here.

Google
I absolutely loved this hotel! In my opinion, their price is reasonable but they have luxury service. Their room service was great along with their bag service. Location was great as well! 7-8 mins walk from San Marco and lots of good restaurants are located nearby. Room was beautiful and clean. Loved their spacious bathroom for a family of four. They prepared beds for me kids in the room as we stayed in one room. They opened the sofa bed and put a sheet over for us and brought a small bed for my second kid. Overall I’m very happy with them and would love to come back next time we visit in Venice.

Google
This is the only hotel I have begged to be allowed to check out a day early. It started with being given a small disabled room on the ground floor, which we did not book. The room was also right next to the bar where they blasted loud music all day despite it being totally empty. We asked them if they could turn thr volume down, they didn’t. We wanted a room next to the canal but this particular section of the canal was very smelly, people smoked right outside so we could never have the windows open. Right outside the hotel they collect the garbage in the canal, every day, starting before 7am and lasting for at least an hour. It’s very noisy We also asked for help from the hotel in booking a gondola ride with wine. The bartender of the hotel said he would only listen to my wife as “women choose the wine”. When she said “a white wine” he selected a $100 bottle, when she asked for the menu to see what else was offered he refused to show it to her. When we asked for any other option, he said it was the only wine (a lie because we later saw the full menu). Bartender was clearly trying to scam us like we were some gullible tourists. After all of this, I asked the front desk to pay for one night and cut the stay short, they refused to give us any money back. If you’re going to spend >300 on a Venice hotel, you can do better

Yelp
The front desk people were very helpful. I was there for about a week and encountered three different front desk. I don't recall their name, but they were all pretty helpful. One in specific stood out the most. He was very helpful with train times to travel to Verona very specific very helpful. I believe his name was Joncarlo I could be wrong but I remember Carlo being in his name! He was very helpful! And the bar in the hotel was awesome as well the bar tender Lalo was supper awesome and sweet , very helpful staff over all! Would go back just to visit them!

Yelp
A top experience to stay in Venice. Arrive directly by water taxi from the train station to a private dock. The rooms are large and well-appointed. The bar is lovely and the bartender is beyond friendly. Excellent location, top on my list to stay again.

Yelp
Life is good. Life in Venice is better. Few experiences rival opening your bedroom window directly above a peaceful canal on a quiet morning in Venice, Italy. It's calming and cool at the same time ... and was a daily indulgence at the boutique Aqua Palace hotel in a tranquil neighborhood between Ponte di Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Our large guest room with king-size bed (and modern bathroom) had two windows that opened for fresh Venetian breezes and views. I spent a personal-record amount of time on different days just leaning out the window while waving and shouting greetings at pedestrians on nearby bridges and gondolas passing under them. There were a lot of positives with Aqua Palace beyond its location including friendly service at the registration desk, morning buffet breakfast, or housekeeping. The breakfast area wasn't large nor does it need to be, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. Of course, the biggest wow factor for Aqua Palace is being directly on a canal and wonderfully positioned to walk or ride to landmarks throughout Venezia. One major flaw to our stay was that the winter 2019 floods had knocked out WiFi to the guest rooms. Luckily, we had fairly decent cellular reception which still allowed us to be connected. The room was a little "dusty" and a "makeover" wouldn't hurt, but neither distracted us enough from an inspirational life experience in Venice at the Aqua Palace hotel.

Yelp
A wonderful hotel with canal views and easy walk to San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. You will soon find everything revolves around these 2 landmarks so it's nicely situated in a quiet area between them. My room with a canal view was worth was just lovely. Large rooms and bathroom with comfortable bedding. Complimentary breakfast is what you would expect and perfectly reasonable (eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, fruit yogurt etc). The staff was very helpful making reservations to restaurants and our train ticket to our next stop especially Gabriel and the woman who did the breakfast. The location was perfectly located in a quiet corridor yet walkable to everything.

Yelp
Good location and clean hotel. Friendly staff. I learned that it really doesnt matter where you stay in Venice since everything is very walkable. This hotel was very nice and was close to St. Mark's Square. Located on a small canal, we did not experience any of the noise that the others mentioned in other reviews. Really no negative things to say about this place.

Yelp
Great hotel! The room was far bigger than what we experienced in London, Paris and Rome. The hotel was a good location, off the beaten path enough to be quiet but still easy to get to. The staff was friendly and always available. We had breakfast at the hotel twice and was very happy with the selection.

Yelp
A true hidden gem.. Everything is lovely about this hotel - the staff, the room, the location etc. We will definitely come back!

Yelp
What a great hotel, great room, great location, great continental breakfast, just an all-around nice place. Also the showers were nice and big too... After two weeks on the road in Italy and Europe it was nice to have a shower I could fit into as I seem to be a big fat American tourist.

Yelp
We booked 6 months prior for 3 nights for our honeymoon -- after a glowing review from a local friend who is a repeat customer to AP. We paid almost double what Trip Advisor is now showing for this week. We stayed 3 nights last week (mid July). The best part is how conveniently located it is. There were no ammenities, except for breakfast (which of course you pay for), a limited mini bar, and limited food/bar menu. We had a Junior Suite (2nd floor, or their 1st floor), with a canal view. We arrived early morning; went out walking; and returned about 2pm, escorted up to our room -- to which they delivered the wrong bags. Both our reactions to the room were "Blah". There was one front desk staff and one food service worker who were very attentive. The rest of the staff made us feel like we were a bother, and they gave little information when we asked any questions -- and misinformation when they did give us anything. We did get a 'jump the line' ticket for St Marks and a transfer to the Murano museum. Other than that, they could offer no guidance or insight into our other questions about museums, etc. Worse, we left on a Sunday to take a train to Florence. I asked about online tickets and water taxi day one when we arrived. They kept telling us we didn't need advance tickets, and it would be no problem to buy day of. We arrived 8:30am to buy tickets -- and got the last two on the 12:25 train. We waited 3.5 hours -- and thus missed 3.5 hours for tours, etc. in Florence. Granted, that's on us ultimately -- but easily avoided by solid service from a 4-star establishment.
