Had a great time with ghoulish golf. These guys put a lot of effort into Haloween! There's a spooky drive-in theater and a trail of terror! Lots of kids having a fun evening.

Google
This was our 4th year doing Ghoulish Golf and I swear every year they get better and better. We love that it's something we can do as a family even with our older kids, and every year it's different. The staff is SO friendly and nice and you never feel rushed. We come during the summer too since we're local but we love having this extra fun thing to do every year. Thanks!!

Google
Spent over $100 for the haunted walk. It was absolutely horrible. Maybe a total of 10 or less scare actors, and almost all were little children and young teens. I think there were 2 adults if I had to guess. Don’t waste your time or money. Even the props were horrendous and cheap, they didn’t even take the time to clear the path of roots to be able to walk in the dark. With the $$ they are making it’s very obvious that nothing is being put back in to improve the experience. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Dekota B.

Google
Overall a fun less expensive alternative to FunTown SplashTown . Lots of waterslides, splash pads for little children, bumper cars and bumper boats. A wave pool and an “aqua-saucer” lines were a bit long as the park was completely packed . Plenty of lawn chairs to relax along with big tents and private tents for relief from the heat/sun. Food onsite is decent and affordable. Don’t rely on the young lifeguards to watch your children as some not all are busy talking or facebooking on their phones. All and all a fun summer destination

Google
Great Waterpark for the whole family. Fun little kids area and lots of water slides. The wave pool is a great way to relax as the kids play! Food is fast food style and delicious. A bit expensive but keeping a local business open is worth the price! But you can bring your own food and drink so that's a great way to make it easy to visit more frequently!

Google
Our visit was just meh. I haven’t been since I was as a kid so wanted to take my kids. For a Water park it’s pretty slim for attractions and everything is quite dated. You have to pay extra to use the double and triple tubes which is crazy to me. I would rather head over to splashdown next door.

Michlene B.

Google
We go every year because it's small but mighty! Great slides and wave pool, mini golf, go karts, gift shop and food counter. We love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's always great fun!

Brandi S.

Google
Kids had fun, I paid 100.00 for a cabana that was infested with honey bees, I brought it to there attention and nothing was done. Total cost for 2 adults 2 kids and the infested cabana was 257. Paid more on line then what was charged at the door.

Yelp
Used to love going to Aquaboggan but my last experience was very disappointing. Went for a visit on a Monday in August because it's cheaper on Mondays (when you're retired, a bargain is always best). Imagine my surprise when I looked at my credit card statement and found they had charged me full price. I checked with my daughter and she had also been charged full price. When I called to ask if this could be rectified I was told it would be looked into. After numerous phone calls and emails, I still have not received a response to my request. I'm sure they made quite a bit of money on overcharging people that day.

Yelp
We always have a good time here. We go a couple times per week. I don't get in the water much, but I get to relax in the sun and the kids can play with their friends.

Yelp
After years of going to splashdown, I decided to try this but I was disappointed. The prices are pretty cheap and it's good that you can bring coolers inside. The rides are however boring and very outdated. The aqua saucer is very fun but the lines for it are long. Wave pool goes very deep but the waves are pathetic. Another thing I don't like about this place is that you have to pay for double and triple tubes. Food is very good and is already made. If you are thinking about going here just go down the street to splashdown.
google avatar

Erin R.

Yelp
Aquaboggan is very affordable and I liked being able to bring my own cooler and lunch into the park. The place wasn't crowded on a Tuesday, so my family and I didn't have to wait in any lines. The waterslides are older and not very thrilling. If I had to wait in line, I'd be disappointed, but again, wasn't crowded so we had a great day. Great option if you're looking for a more affordable family day out.

Yelp
Before I get into why I'm only rating this place 3 stars I will say that we had a blast. For $306 we rented a private cabana, bought 3 adult tickets and 2 under 4' tickets ( by mistake ) . I didn't realize until after the Etix purchase that junior tickets were for under 4'. However when we got there I was going to upgrade them and the lady just said no big deal, so that was nice . Parking was free and right there at the entrance . Any ride you need a tube for will be provided but we chose to purchase tubes for the wave pool at $5 each . While there aren't a ton of water slides there are enough to keep kids entertained for the entire time we were there , from 10a-5p. On a Thursday and even with several summer camps full of kids the lines were tolerable, never waiting more than 10-15 for a ride, and later in the afternoon when all the camp kids left there was almost no wait for anything . The food was cafeteria style , walk through line and pick what you want fried food and to feed a family of 5 lunch was about $70. Lockers and water came with our cabana rental but there seemed to be plenty available. Overall the cleanliness was good . Here's where the score got lowered . The " lifeguards " are teen angers on a rotation from station to station to prevent fatigue. On the water slides that use tubes or mats the lifeguards working the stations seemed to hate their jobs.... And this was the feeling I got from the time we got there to the time we left. Some were great and personable but others were just miserable . When your height limit for most things is 48" you expect some type of direction or assistance for littler kids . That did not happen. On top of one of the slides a gust of wind blew one of their umbrellas into a group of kids , mine included and the life guard just stood there , I grabbed the umbrella and made sure the kids ( including my 9&12 yo) . She ignored it. They were also letting people go down before making sure the bottom was clear which was causing people to come down on top of eachother. on the " Yankee ripper " which is a slide that goes almost straight down while you're on this heavy sled type thing a kid came down , fell off the sled and got stuck . He was littler and not only was the guard not giving him any direction but he was having a hard time getting the sled full of water off the slide. She was of no assistance at all and seemed quite annoyed..... I've been an EMT FOR 12 years and too see some of these peoples lack of attentiveness who would be charge of saving my child's life in an emergency was disappointing and a little scary. In fact I wouldn't even want some of them near my child in an emergency. If I wasn't so comfortable in my ability to act in an emergent situation this would be a reason for me to never return , kids safety and the safety of visitors should always be a priority. If you're being paid to do a job , do it . Last but not least the sled for the Yankee ripper are far too heavy to carry up that incline for younger kids , they should either up the height restriction or find another solution for carrying the sleds . My husband would also probably want me to mention his disappointment with the aqua saucer .... This was the one thing he really wanted to try lol but he was too tall.

Yelp
the racer slides almost took my fingers off and i can see the bone now. i was in so much pain and i had to get out of the water because of how painful it was. this has happened multiple times and they have not done anything about this. the paint also got in my skin.

Yelp
Great fun for everyone - many different "levels" of admission make it ideal for the "non-sliders" in the group! Reasonable prices, clean restrooms.
google avatar

Yelp
Outdated. Faded. Looks like no improvements have been made since the 90s so it feels like you're stepping back in time. Only 3 stalls in the bathroom for women to change. You pay $30 for admission and everything inside costs extra. Etc. $10 for one go cart ride. $5-10 to rent a tube to slide on. Pay for bumper cars which should be retired due to how old they are. The kids under 48" were bored. We mostly stayed in the wave pool and left early. Kids were too short to go on the slides. There was an abandoned water balloon area with remnant balloons all over the place. The grass is over walked and bare. Seagulls everywhere. Food was terrible and grossly overpriced. $8 for a basic hamburger with no toppings. Beach chairs were all cracked and should be trashed. Too close together. Our friend bought their 5 year old a go cart ticket, then found out he was too short when they arrived. They would not refund the ticket. Will not visit again.

Yelp
Had a great time, not too crowded and lines moved along quickly. Well worth the money paid. I would only suggest more waves in the wave pool. I was hoping for a bit more. Other than that I feel the park was a lot of fun. Lots to do, gocarts, bumper cars, mini golf slides and more! I would suggest getting the pass that includes all rides, otherwise it's 6$ per ride/turn additional cost and that can add up quickly. Food was surprisingly good, staff was super friendly and when I asked questions through FB messenger they responded within minutes!!! That's a huge plus. You know they are working hard to please customers when they respond within minutes to a message after hours.

Yelp
It was awesome they want you to have fun and kids can enjoy it to! There is only one really big slide that is the only scary one the rest in awesome bumper Boats are Lousy but the rest is awesome they even have go carts that are 2 Seater! I've been around the world In to many water parks and this is one of the best ones I've ever been to! All of the slides are kid friendly for all ages except this one that is for thrill seekers! It is amazing better then monkey see monkey do do if you want to see how bad that places is you can see my review on monkey see monkey do and it is not good! The staff is so nice and safe! I highly recommend it! you should go if you We can again today and it was awesome. Best family owned family fun place in Maine and far beyond. Trust me. I'm 9 and a girl and I am sooooo grateful.

Patti L.

Yelp
I love that Military get in free or discount. Great fun lots to do with an awesome wave pool!

Yelp
FYI and attention to all my friends. Please spread the word...we had a pretty lousy experience at Aquaboggan Water Park the other day. Bought tickets online and then got to the counter and they were cheaper. We bought the cheaper ones because Aquaboggan told us we could contact Etix.com to get a refund. Now they're refusing to refund us. Needless to say we're pretty upset. $90 to them might not be a lot but it is to me. I'm going to ask everyone I know to spread the word to NOT go there OR use Etix.com. I feel like this is unacceptable and it's an example of someone pushing around another who can't do much back. Help me do something. A simple share might hurt their pockets a little. I'll be contacting Aquaboggan tomorrow to try one more time but I have pretty low hopes.

Faith M.

Yelp
It was fun but the slides are kinda dangerous I fell of the thing you slide on and landed face first in the water almost drowning me and you have to pay for a 2 person float which is kinda reasonable but yeah 3 stars.

Yelp
Where do I begin? I've been coming here since I was a kid and always enjoyed Aquaboggan however yesterday was unfortunately the last time I will ever visit this park again. You'd never know we were in the middle of a pandemic. When we entered there was a guy coming out the back room who stated the girl at the gate was not counting and they were over capacity. I should I asked for a refund at that point but we had just drove two hours with two kids super excited to go to a water park , so we figured we'd do our best to keep our distance. The park had hundreds of people , not wearing masks (which was fine if they were social distancing or on rides , but it wasn't the case) I witnessed a child peeing in the grass and the staff was watching this child and said nothing. Multiple people at the wave pool were spitting and coughing up a storm and again none of them were social distancing. It was within an hour of being there , we were told to evacuated the park because a storm was coming. Which was fine , however the staff kid asking us to leave was arrogant when asked what do we do to get our money back , he said "you leave and if your lucky we will reopen if not ,not sure what to tell you but the doors that way" We tried to wait in the lot but with two kids in the car and a storm that took about an hours and thirty minutes to pass we figured we'd get food and come back! When we came back the park was closed, we saw a staff member getting into her car , so we asked her who she could speak too about this and her answer was they are closed sorry nothing she could do! I wrote an email to see if I could get someone to care , however Ethan again was very rude , saying they are following state guidelines and that he would not be issuing a refund! I understand we took the risk going to this park, however the website stated they would be reservations only (NOT THE CASE I WATCHED PEOPLE IN LINE BUYING TICKETS AT THE DOOR) The pools were disgustingly dirty , kids peeing in grass in front of staff , nobody social distancing! Not sure if people coughing were sick , chairs at wave pool were on top of each other and a bunch of young kids work there and clearly don't care about the people paying to get in the park , very arrogant to guest! It's unfortunate. Not only will I be reporting this to the city , but I've let family and friends know as well. Better off paying the few extra dollars to get into Water Country (they check temperatures at gate , assure social distancing , they only let so many people in their park at reserved times , sanitize their rafts after use and their friendly to paying guest) DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. It's unfortunate the storm happened however i wouldn't be as upset if they followed the guidelines and treated paying guests better. Seems to me all they cared about was the money not if their park was over flowing with people! The parking lot alone was so packed but you wouldn't notice this from the street view because it's set back , which is probably how they've been getting away with it!

Shannon C.

Yelp
Place was nuts. Body to body! You'd never know we were in a pandemic. Apparently a Monday thing? I gave them two stars because they gave me my money back when I left and we're nice.

Aly E.

Yelp
I have literally never written a review on here before but felt compelled to after my visit yesterday. Pros: My kids had a blast and the food was decent. Cons: As an adult, the whole place was horrifying. 1) This is THE WORST LIFEGUARDING I have ever witnessed. At the wave pool - a group of 3 male lifeguards standing together on one side chatting and not watching the wave pool at all. It was super crowded and they weren't watching at all. Not sitting in their chairs or spread out watching. On the other side of the pool, a guard was sitting in his chair, sunglasses on,and either completely zoned out or asleep but definitely not watching the water either. Made me super nervous. Later, at the rainbow bouncy water thing, two guards standing together flirting on one side, no one watching 3/4 of the water. Ridiculous. 2) The human poop on the sidewalk that someone had stepped in but no one cleaned up. 3) The barf on the sidewalk. 4) The woman changing her baby's diaper on a picnic table. 5) The woman wearing only a bra on top. It's just too much.
google avatar

MrsRat ?.

Yelp
Wasn't as crowded on a july monday.upgraded the 12$ pass to 21$ to ride unlimited use of water boats (slow) Mini-Golf Course  Go Carts, the Paddle Boats (cute) Table cloth on tables..probably just bring your own ..both of my tables had bird poop ..I couldn't take off with wipes..no lazy river :( The wave pool didn't have a strong wave like water country does..but they do go on like every 3mins..so that was cool for the little kids. Chicken strips $6.50(4pieces ) On the house life jackets for the little kids up to 100 pounds..love that!! I borrowed two.. Don't forget to bring tons of cash.. Rental for double tube 6$ .I didnt think I needed..but I did.just cause I had two Littles ones that weren't allowed to go down the slide by themselves or in our laps.. Children's area, one tiny water slide two thumbs down :(. Bathroom sinks ,too high for little ones(two thumbs down). Bring bug spray ,we all got attacked mosquitos.. oh and I did see the lifeguards watching and paying attention..so guess that's an improvement. .

Yelp
Not too big, not too small, great variety of slides for young and older kids (and grown ups!) lots of lounge chairs, shaded picnic tables and you can bring your own food! Re-entry possible with bracelet. A great place for a hot afternoon

Lauren A.

Yelp
Really gross.... especially during a pandemic. No one is following guidelines and the park smells bad. There's poop in the water and it's packed. I highly suggest not going here.
google avatar

Nate H.

Yelp
Being a native Mainer, this has been a summer time destination since I was a kid. I grew up loving this place. It was always so neat and clean, and seemed like such a thrill. Fast forward 35 years or so, and the time came to take my kids. First the good- the price is pretty reasonable and the staff is fantastic. They have some talent working here. Young kids who work hard and keep smiling (a rare treat these days). Now the down side. This place is showing it's age. The concrete walk ways are cracked and heaved, the slides are worn, there is dirt and grime in the corners, the edges of the walk ways have washed out causing some hazards. The grounds keeping is pretty poor and after looking at some of the structures holding up the slides I am left to wonder what is holding them together. Left to choose, my kids would rather go to the other park down the road a little. I sadly give aquaboggan two stars due to the poor shape of the facility.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Such a fun little place! I definitely prefer coming here over other larger and extremely expensive water parks. They have $12 admission on Mondays which is so cheap! This park is small and they only have about 6 water slides, a pool, and the wave pool so if you're someone that gets bored easily this park may not be for you. But if you're just looking for a place with water to help cool off and have some fun with the family or friends definitely check it out. They have bumper boats, go carts, paddle boats, and mini golf which are extra but you can upgrade your admission for just $10 to be able to do them. Definitely pack your own lunch in a cooler. The food here isn't anything special.
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
I used to go here a lot when I was a kid. It is a fantastic place to bring the family. The waterslides may not be as big as the other waterparks, but there is a nice variety and they are just as fun. There are many amusements like go carts, bumper boats, mini golf, arcades. There is good food there too and some places with shade from the sun. It is reasonably priced also.

L R.

Yelp
We visited on a Monday because it was only $12 for general admission. I upgraded my son's pass to include the Grand Prix racers, bumper boats, and paddle boats for an extra $10. For the price, I was pleased with the overall experience. The Good: There are lots of picnic tables, lounge chairs, and grassy areas in sun and shade. Even on a busy, hot day we easily found 2 lounge chairs and pulled them into the shade. We used a luggage lock on our backpack to keep our valuables safer. You can bring a cooler in so we saved $20 on greasy burgers and fries. The lines on the mat rides move very fast. (I'll address the bad part about this later.) The wave pool is a good size. You can rent a tube to use in it but it is totally unnecessary. The place was pretty clean. Unlimited mini golf was a nice change of pace halfway through the day. The Bad: ZERO supervision from lifeguards. The mat rides move so fast because one person is "monitoring" 3 slides which meant she hung out putting on sunscreen and occasionally looked up to tell someone it was safe to go. This meant people (especially kids) were going down the slides on dangerously close succession. The giant bubble lifeguards were talking to each other the ENTIRE time my son was in there (5 minutes) while kids were falling all over each other. The Stealth ride is fun, scary, and actually dangerous. I saw several people bash their limbs off the "bumpers" at the end or fall backward off their tubes into the 2 foot deep pool at the end and not once did I see the lifeguard look up from his conversation with a coworker. This didn't stop us from going on it twice. Final Say: For $12 I got what I paid for. A fun day with my kid at a small water park with fun slides, a good wave pool, and totally careless lifeguards. I'd come back on discount day but not for full price.

Yelp
I took my 10 and 12 year old here this week; we've never been to Aquaboggan and wanted to check it out. It's a very small park with few attractions. The 3 slides are fun and the lines were not too long. The wave pool is unimpressive; the waves were not very large, and some of the paint on the bottom of the pool is chipping. The overall impression that I had was that this place is very run down, everything is old and looks neglected. My kids were equally unimpressed, and stated they had an "okay" day here. Now that our curiosity has been satisfied, I don't think we'll be returning unless they make some drastic improvements and add attractions.
google avatar

Lynsey O.

Yelp
Our family loves Aquaboggan!! Very reasonably priced especially $12 Mondays - there is something for everyone!!

Scarlett R.

Yelp
This place is really good except for the ground it feels worse than pins and needles it hurts a lot
google avatar

Yelp
Fun attraction place just need a Lil more like fun town splash town. Gets bored after 2 hrs not much to do. Other than. That my kids loved it

Bill S.

Yelp
We just spent a day at Aquaboggan because of a groupon deal. The park opens at 10am and closes at 6pm. We went on a Wednesday and the lines weren't too bad. For most rides, it was a 5-10 minute wait top. They have a big wave pool, a stealth tube ride (the ride looks like a taco) that is very steep, a regular tube toboggan ride, 3 rubber mat slides, 2 regular slides (no mats), bumper boats, go-karts, toddler play area, shuffleboard. The tickets were about $29 for a super-pass per person. They provide tubes/mats for the rides that require them. They do rent single/double/triple tubes. The double/triple tubes can be used on the tube slide and the stealth ride. Otherwise, you use them in the wave pools. They do allow you to bring your own outside food in which is a way to save money. Their concession prices weren't too bad (e.g, $12 for a large cheese pizza). We had a blast and would definitely go back again.

Yelp
This place sucks. Don't waste your money. There are about 5 slides, a couple of little pools, a wave pool, and the "astrobubble" which you now have to be under 5'5" (and the age of 18) to ride. When I was a kid, Funtown/Splashtown and Aquaboggan directly competed for tourist dollars. It's no longer a contest. Funtown has invested tons of money into rides/slides; while Aquaboggan closed the "Yankee Doodle Zipper" and the grease cars... their two best rides! If you still decide to waste your time and money at this shithole, watch out for the fun-Nazi gestapo life guards, bring extra money if you want to ride the bumper boats, go-karts, or use a tube, go early in the week so you don't get stuck behind a daycamp, and probably pack a book and some sunscreen because you're going to run out of things to do really quick, and unlike Funtown, there is no beer tent to hide in. My 5-year-old and I want our day back...
google avatar

Chandra T.

Yelp
I have to say. I visited the park today with my kids. Their first time. I was NOT impressed. The person at the ticket counter looked like he'd rather be anywhere but there. Wasn't interested in answering any questions just handed us some passes and told us the price. $100 later we are getting ready to have some fun...Turns out basically NOTHING was included in that "pass".. We got use of a wave pool, a rope climb pool and 2 water tube slides both of which were so small my 5'4" frame banged my legs several times coming down. No mini golf, no bumper boats or paddle boats or go carts. Those were ALLLL extra. Oh and then the $5 tube rentals and $5 lockers rentals. NOT to mention the entire walk up to these two tube rides that we were allowed to use smelled heavily like urine, especially at the top.We were likely standing in hundreds of peoples urine from the season. It was disgusting. I paid basically to go in a wave pool and slide down a tiny and very old slide (the same one I've seen there my entire life with no upgrades and I'm 30 yrs old) ... I can say I'd never come back to aquaboggon. I cant even articulate how disappointed and completely disgusted with my experience there and I would NEVER bring my children back. We visited funtown the week before and its a million times better.

Demian S.

Yelp
The rides are fun, and it's great for kids. However, we went on a fairly crowded Monday, and there were no lockers left or alternative option for storing valuables. For most of the day, our bags were with someone in the group, but during the 25-minute period when they were left in the open but unattended, someone rifled through them and stole $250 from my wallet. I can't imagine this is an isolated incident -- it happened so quickly and efficiently. If the company is going to let in as many people as were there and it has reason to know that a small percentage of them possess a criminal element, it absolutely needs to provide more small lockers or some alternative -- they are cheap, easy to install, and take up vey little space. So, Aquaboggan, I give you two stars for failing to provide simple, adequate measures to ensure the satisfaction of your customers. I give myself 1 star for carrying that cash into your establishment.
