Aquaholics Surf Shop

My boys did a week of surf lessons. They had such a great time. Instructors are awesome and the shop is great (solid gear). Youngest son is 6 and the instructors gave him a little extra help getting out. He was riding waves after 30 minutes. Super fun for anyone visiting the area and want something for their kids to do. Also have private lessons.

My kids did a lesson while we were at Gooch’s beach for vacation. They had such a good time they did it again! The surf instructors were excellent, fun, and friendly. Our overall experience was incredible and we can’t wait to do it again next summer!

My two kids and their friend signed up for a 3 day surf camp over the summer. The owner was responsive to questions during the initial signup which was done easily online. Omer and the other instructors were wonderful with the kids and gave our youngest some extra attention when needed (to carry the board and get situated in the water). Overall it was a great experience and we're looking forward to doing it again next summer.

My 9 year old did the 3 day surf camp this week and it was an awesome experience all around! The instructors are laid back, fun, and knowledgeable. It was super exciting to see him progress through the week, and the schedule worked great for our family! He had a blast and we'll definitely do it again!

Last minute rented a paddleboard for a half day and this place was very accommodating and reasonably priced! Employees were very kind. Would absolutely rent again.

Love this local surf shop! My family and I have been going here for years and they are always super helpful. Recently, we went in to get a fin that broke off fixed on our surfboard and they did it right there! They also do FREE surf lessons for moms on Tuesday mornings and my sister, mom and I signed up and had a blast! Check them out if you are in the area!

Spent two days getting in the water with Omer for surf lessons as a solo adult traveler and would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a coach or surf shop in the area to reach out to Aquaholics. Every staff member I engaged with was friendly and super helpful with everything from gear to understanding the tides. I've worked with a couple shops or private instructors in the water and Aquaholics runs with the best.

DO NOT GO HERE. They rented us a damaged board (confirmed by my son) to my 13 year son and then called the next and said we broke it and charged us 40 bucks. I would not go here they scam you. If you do throughly document the boards before you touch them because they lie to make a couple extra bucks. They lost a lot of repeat business from us and i would not go there if i was you.

My family did a surfing lesson with Omer and Berk. It was a great time- everyone " rode" multiple waves. No one had surfed before - the instructions were easy to follow and we had a blast- will be back

Highly recommend the surf camp as a first surfing experience for kids. My 9 year old had never surfed before and had a blast as part of the camp, though he was the youngest one by a lot. The instructors were knowlegable, friendly and fun. He cannot wait to go back next summer.

The vibe in this store is terrible. They have very little inventory and actually seemed annoyed that we came in on a Sunday so close to closing time.

While vacationing in Maine this past summer (July of 2021), my daughter took surf lessons with a group of her friends. There were 2 instructors which they met at a designated location on the beach and were provided wetsuits and boards. In the group of 7 girls, none had ever surfed before. The lead instructor gave a very thorough introduction and allowed the kids to get a feel for the board and learn proper techniques. Once in the water, both instructors took over and worked with each of them one on one. Some excelled more than others, but every kid loved it. The instructors were patient, informative and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for surf lessons......their prices are a bit on the high side, but then again....so is everything else in Kennebunkport.

Really great service and paddle boards. Called them at 1pm for one week rental and was delivered by 3. Eric, the delivery guy, was super helpful. Helping me carry boards to beach behind our rental home. Highly recommend! Paul D

I visit Kennebunkport often in the summer. I wandered in Aquaholics twice and both times was shocked beyond belief at the rudeness that was displayed by the two women who worked there, All of us in the store were embarrassed and dismayed at the tone of voice and the horrible treatment they were giving to a customer, The customer was visibly upset but never got angry or engaged in rude behavior. And my second visit where i happened to witness the same behavior I vowed never to set foot in that store again, No customer should be treated that way whether right or wrong. I recommend finding another store even if it means driving to Biddeford.

I had purchased a Groupon for 1 hr of SUP. Customer service: Staff were friendly and very nice. We SUP'd in the Kennebunk river/Grist Mill Pond. It's located right there where the bridge is in Kennebunk. Checked in at the office, and drove across the bridge by the church. There were jellyfishes in the water, nonharmful. Boards were stable, nice weather, and very chill afternoon. Guide was friendly.

Great people. Tried surfing for the first time and got up instantly. Raul was my instructor and he was awesome! Would definitely go back for round two! Highly recommend!

I cannot covey how amazing this business is and all of the employees. I would give ten stars if I could. The customer service, staff knowledge, and flexibility is some of the best I've ever experienced! I recommend them 10000%. Thanks for being so incredible and making my day spent paddleboarding successful and affordable!! You guys are fantastic keep up the great work!

A bunch of us took a surf lesson with Aquaholics this past weekend and it was FANTASTIC! It was all of our first times surfing and we could not have had a more wonderful, memorable experience thanks to Aquaholics. Our instructors were friendly, encouraging and overall great guys. Highly recommend surf lessons with Aquaholics!

Awesome surf lesson with chelsea!! There weren't huge waves but Chelsea spotted awesome waves for us and we rocked them. I was skeptical as it was my first time surfing but I got up and had so much fun. Highly highly recommend!

My wife and I are in our mid forties and have been wanting to try surfing for years and finally did. We don't know why we waited so long. The staff was courteous and friendly at the store and our instructor Will taught well. My wife was pretty nervous and he told us the hardest thing to do in surfing in putting on and taking off the wet suit he was right. We had a blast and my wife and I are planning to rent a board from Aquaholics soon and who knows may just buy a board or two. Nice people, good instruction nice store.

This place is great. We had our first surf lesson with one of their great instructors and the whole experience was really fun and and pretty successful surf wise. Friendly people who know what they're doing.

Would not spend a penny here. Owner does not know the old business saying, "the customer is always right and should be treated with respect." Was rude, loud, crass bordering on harassment when friends returned a surfboard. Crazy to be treated this way when spending your hard, earned cash while on vacation. Shameful!

Aquaholics offers a surf experience for special needs children. I called to inquire about the cost. The man, who was evidently a manager, was rude on the phone and clearly had no time to speak to me. So, I emailed the company to ask my question. I was friendly. I acknowledged that I must have caught them at a busy time and presented my question. I received an email from the manager that was fairly friendly giving me a little information about the program. However, I also received an email from Nanci Boutet- the owner. She told me that her manager had said I was very rude on the phone. She proceeded to tell me she "was tough and didn't like being strong armed". This was quite astounding. Not only was I NOT rude or threatening in any way but she was now threatening me, a business owner. Wow! I have saved the emails. In case anyone should be interested. Not a good company. Not an original idea. There are many companies who offer this service on each coast. I'm sure a new one will pop up here in Maine soon. The most astounding part of the whole thing is that a few months later I actually received an email asking me for a donation!!!! Wow! That is pretty crazy. I don't think so. This woman is putting on a face that she is nice but she is actually not interested in being a helpful caring individual at all. She's out for a look. I'm sure she goes home each night to her McMansion and relishes in all the people she's fooled that day. What a piece of work.
