The view from level 10 did not disappoint! Booked beach view and it was spectacular to wake up everyday to the Atlantic Ocean of Troia with views of the National Park Arrabida and beaches. Almost a Whitsundays but in Portugal. The service apartment is four stars although if I didn’t have the view maybe it’d be a three star accommodation. Furnishing and tv are a bit dated including the waiting area at each tower. Mattress are worn and dented from years of use. Could do with new mattresses. The studio is spacious enough although would have liked a few comforts such as tea and coffee, water replenished everyday. Warm lighting by the bed would be much nicer. At least the room was serviced everyday. Thank you. The staff from reception to breakfast to house cleaning were all so friendly and helpful. Grab your Google translate for complicated requests, the Portuguese really appreciate it too to communicate. There are only two lifts at Tower Rio and one of them was broken at level 11 which made a long wait. Lifts need upgrading and especially at each floor, you can’t tell if the lift is going up or down - no screen at all. Breakfast is good, nothing too special. Would stay for the views from the top levels. The reception area is great to lounge around and do work. Wifi is stable so a good choice.

The apartment and location were lovely, but we felt that the amenities were somewhat lacking. However, the biggest issue we encountered was with the card key system. On the day before our checkout, the card stopped working, and we had to make multiple trips to the reception to resolve the issue. This was particularly frustrating with two young children in tow, who were sleepy and crying by the time we finally got it sorted out. It wasted an hour of our time and caused unnecessary stress. We were told initially that we had already checked out, which was not the case, and it took three attempts before we were finally able to enter the apartment.Given the inconvenience this caused, we hope that the hotel will review their card key system to prevent such errors in the future.*Pros:* Lovely apartment and location*Cons:* Lack of amenities, card key system issuesOverall, we would consider staying here again if they address these issues.

Rooms are health hazard as AC units filters are not cleaned. I saw it live as maintenance worker removed it and we demanded they change our rooms. They put kids working for their internship so that management have low to no wages at all. No senior people work here at all. Lack of accountability for anything. Pool bar is a joke with bread bought in supermarket. No quality in anything they do. Stay away if you can.

Unfriendly and untrained reception staff, similar to those in the restaurant area, with the restaurant even being closed at lunchtime one day due to a lack of staff. The hotel has a good location, but falls short due to the poor quality of the service provided.

For the Last 4 years I went to Troia. The whole Island Is owbwd by the group PAstana Cristiano Ronaldo and Is a Monopoly. The workers are all seasonal with no preparazione and despite they Extreme kindness not up to the Level required. It Is a Pity but I Will not go back

Terrible. Rooms shabby. No Wi-Fi access from the room and despite reporting it personally to the front desk on 3 occasions and by email to Customer Service, nothing was done. No apologies, no attempt to solve the issue. Never received feed back. After a week, still had no WiFi. General service is slow and not customer focused. Furniture in rooms is cheap and uncomfortable. Bed mattress extremely uncomfortable with unhygienic mattress cover. Eating in - and out - in Tróia is expensive for below average quality. Stay in Setubal!

The property was a total letdown. The rooms were old and run down and nothing like the pictures. The fridge had no light and the shelves were dirty.||The pool way broken so therefore not heated. Both indoor and outdoor pools were dirty and honestly did not look hygienic to swim in. The jacuzzi was not working, the gym was cold, and although we were told on arrival the kids place would be running it appears it wasn’t.||Breakfast was mediocr, my daughter picked up some bread from the buffet and it was hard and stale on one side - I expect better from a 4 star hotel.. though, to be fair I wouldn’t even give it 1 star.||The lady at reception was very sweet and helpful and they did their best to resolve our refund. The staff also acknowledged the terrible state of the hotel… it is as if the company have just forgotten it and left it to rot.||A shame as the website made it look so nice… unfortunately the website is a total sham.||Needless to say we will never go back, and I do not recommend anyone staying there.

Unfortunately the place is not well maintained and the management team does not care! We had a leak in our apartment since we arrived and no one fixed! I reported to the manager and still no solution presented! Besides the public bathrooms in the lobby are disgusting they are dirty, old and the hand wash dispenser have mold and indeed for a family hotel is a health issue when you have so many kids around that need to wash their e hand they have no soap to do it!
