Absolutely stunning scenic location, tucked away, surrounded by olive groves & mountains. The stone buildings are rustic in appearance but extremely aesthetically pleasing & landscaped beautifully. We stopped en route to a nearby town just to see if it was as good as it's shown in the TV series. It's just as pretty despite it being "enhanced" for the programme but the service was rather disappointing. Despite it being deserted the waitress fluffed up our order. Putting ice in drinks that asked for no ice, forgetting cocoa on cappuccino & serviettes for the table. It also seemed to cause quite a stir when it was established that we weren't residents as apparently there was no way to pay at the bar. That aside, she was friendly & smiley. She accompanied us to the reception when we were ready to leave, where in contrast the receptionist was barely courteous. Certainly not what you'd expect from a luxury spa resort & frankly, "Fred" wouldn't have been impressed!

Just outside of Naples in the countryside you will find this hotel. We were quite surprised by the beauty of the area and this hotel is super romantic (for those of you that are interested. 1. Rooms- the rooms are very clean, well laid out with a hint of elegance. We stayed in the room with a small round plunge pool which was amazing as it is private, protected from the elements and tastefully done. Small comment in that there could have been more complimentary water in the room and maybe more items in the bar fridge but this was not a huge issue. I was just craving a chocolate. 2. Service- super helpful and amazing staff who were polite and could not do enough for us. Including the maitre de and the sommelier- definitely knew his wines. 3. Surroundings- really pretty surroundings, the garden is well maintained and there are walks into the mountains around the hotel. Dogs are welcome and if they needing a walk, this is the place. The pool was great in that there were sunloungers everywhere but not so much that this hotel looks like a "mainstream resort". There is a bar to get drinks from as well as pool service and for those with kids, there is a lifeguard. It is relaxing and a fun way to spend the morning or afternoon before heading off to sundowners (aperitivos) under the trees and then an outside dinner under the stars- magical!

This is the 4th time we have been here and our experience keeps getting better and better. The Staff are so friendly, the cleanliness of the resort is exemplary. The Manager Enrico couldn't do enough for us and made our stay out of this World. We dined in the Lodge on our first evening and had a great meal with complimenting wines. We used the pool and spa and even had a massage. We will be definitely returning.

The place is amazing. It is like a medieval village, surrounded by nature, with stone houses, olive trees and pines that surround them. The property is generally well maintained, although there are some neglected areas for improvement. The spa is very nice, with the heated pools, the herbal teas, the soft atmosphere, giving a sense of relaxation. The staff in general are polite and friendly. The Michelin restaurant is very elegant and the food is very good. Breakfast is rich, with sweet and salty options. ||Some areas are neglected. The second floor of our room was poorly maintained. The balcony railings are rusted. But no big deal at all.

My husband surprised me with a trip and stay at this resort for our anniversary. We discovered the hotel after watching first dates hotel and thought how lovely it looked on TV, in person the resort does not disappoint! An old lime kiln village which has been restored to such a high standard and is so authentic which compliments its original buildings, it’s hard to tell which is original and which is new. |There are 2 indoor spa pools which are hot with really comfy loungers, great for relaxing. spa robe and flip flops provided. |The outdoor pool and area is really nice and surrounded by olive trees, it’s so pretty especially at night when lit up. |The hotels on site Michelin star restaurant is inviting and the staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the food served and pleased to help pick a wine to suit your taste. Great food and wine.|Our room was basic but very clean and very Comfy bed! Large bathroom with nice shower, outdoor area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Only things to note about the room is the room could do with a kettle and a full length mirror and perhaps an ironing board, note we didn’t request these so it might be that they are available on request.|The town close by has shops and restaurants and a lovely park for walking, running, and picnics.|Breakfast is good with a good choice. |Highly recommend this hotel/resort especially for a relaxing getaway was a real treat!

Great hotel in an amazing setting. Rooms are lovely, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you are driving in Italy. Lots of dining options in the nearby towns if you do not want to eat in house every night.

Fantastic oasis in the middle of the mountains. Beautiful architecture with amazing Spa amenities. The rooms were gorgeous and the food at the restaurant was literally the best Italian I've eaten after living in the country for almost three years! The staff was cordial and many spoke English. Highly recommend on all accounts!
