We had such a great time here. It was late September and really not too many people. The building (old fortress) ia very impressive and the perfect location for this beautiful Aquarium. It consists of two buildings, old tunnels and areas outside. Our daughter loved it and we did too. 100% recommend

Everything was really nice! Lots of interesting species and great explanations. We were surprised that the aquarium consists of two buildings – you can easily spend half a day there. What impressed us the most were the butterflies, just wow! 🦋 Highly recommend it for both adults and children – a very exciting experience.

This was a wonderful surprise! I didn’t expect it to be so big and to have so many different species. My 9-month-old loved it and was fascinated by everything. I highly recommend bringing your family here and buying tickets online, as the regular line can get quite long, while the online ticket line was empty.

We visited this place during a hot, sunny day as the opposite of most people. There are a lot of cars trying to find a parking space, but there was always some place to park. There was a line at the entrance, it took about 5 minutes for us to get in. We bought the tickets online expecting a faster lane or something, but there was just one lady at the register. Straight at the beginning there are a lot of people, so it may be hard to see up close, luckily the crowd disperses further up so you can get a more comfortable experience. Overall it was stunning! And well worth the money. We spent there around 3 hours and even saw some feeding. The layout makes sense and the aquariums look great. You will get a nice view. Many of the specimens also have a dedicated panel with more information. We strongly recommend you visit this place.

To avoid queues during the summer, I highly recommend buying tickets online. The aquarium has a great variety of fish, including a large Mediterranean section and a smaller exotic one. There's also a tiny butterfly area. While the diversity of species is excellent, the spaces are quite small and get very crowded. In some rooms, it's hard to breathe because of the sheer number of people.

Aquarium Pula offers one of the most memorable and unique aquarium experiences I have ever been to with my family—spanning two historic fort buildings, it’s far more than just an Aquarium! Not only do you get Mediterranean and Tropical aquatic exhibits, but you’ll find a “zoo” aspect, with wildlife outside the water, a turtle sanctuary tied to active conservation, and a unique play on history through its fort setting, complete with tunnels, multiple levels, and panoramic rooftop views. Highlights include: - Loved the shark hall and meeting their lively octopuses. - Plenty of kid-friendly features: a play area, multilingual info at every exhibit, frequent learning moments, and convenient rest areas for snacks and bathroom breaks. - The whole experience feels packed with excitement and wonder, easily justifying the slightly higher entry prices, thanks to its unique setting and vast variety. - The rooftop viewing platform offers some truly special panoramas of Verudela's coastline and neighbouring towns. - For a smoother experience, start early and consider going on a weekday; weekends, especially in August, can get crowded due to longer queues. If you buy tickets online, although it's not any cheaper - you can join a shorter queue (on the left side). Aquarium Pula stands out not just for its exhibits, but for its conservation work, historical character, and educational focus—the perfect blend of entertainment, learning, and local culture. I would 100% recommend you visit when you are next in Pula, Croatia. Perfect for a rainy day too!

Awesome aquarium, or should I say aquariums. The aquarium is split into two buildings, one of which is a WWI bunker. There are many local sea creatures to admire, but also plenty from all over the world. They even have their own jellyfish lab, and every tank has a tablet showing the species inside with information about each one. There’s also a turtle rescue center, which at the time had one sea turtle to see. Aside from the main exhibits, part of the aquarium is built inside a WWI fort, which is cool in itself. Would recommend visiting!

Beautifully aquarium, perfect place for kids and adults. A lot of species of fish, a lot to walk 😅 but it’s really funny and interesting. Near to the aquarium you have a lot of restaurants and bars a very good spot. Recommend to every and the price worth it.
