I will always miss the beautiful experiences and amazing people here at my favorite metaphysical store! A HUGE Thank you to Ms. Barbara and her wonderful staff for everything yall have given us to help us on our journeys! Whether it was a kind smile, a message of encouragement or awesome knowledge on all things metaphysical, you all have truly made my journey worthwhile! I will truly miss you all 🔥💕🫶🏼💋

And now for something very special… Aquarius can best be defined as a smorgasbord of everything ethereal. You can find scented oils, candles, incense and incense holders, all different kinds of stones, a few clothing items and handbags, books, and an entire line of jewelry. We visited on a recent Saturday and were warmly greeted by the person opening the door at noon. The teenager in your household is probably going to want to spend their entire allowance at this place. Especially if they are into the Harry Potter type of vibe. There are amulets, knives, decorative drawing books, mortar and pestle sets. I personally found their line of French Maison Berger fragrances and fragrance refills very impressive! They have the full product line and are priced fairly. When you visit, plan to go early because the store was very busy by 1: 00pm. Also, most of the parking is street parking so you have to be adept in parallel parking or just be willing to walk a bit. Vulcan's forge jewelry is also a part of the store, about half of the floor space. They have real silver and gold pieces and some unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else. I've been coming to Aquarius for many years and am usually able to find what I need from their selection. Their staff is also super friendly and helpful! And they host numerous community events in their space, which is definitely a benefit to the greater KC area.

Very knowledgeable staff and excellent selection! I could not imagine ever going anywhere else to buy incense, candles, or crystals. It's like a little retreat every time I visit the store. I have never had a bad experience, and I have been casually coming here for almost 20 years and a regular weekly/monthly shopper for the last Year.

I will miss you Aquarius. You were the first cool thing I ever went to in KC. My hubs wedding ring is from Valcon Forge. Will never forget the loving peacful atmosphere.

As I was looking at the herbs, some older woman with gray hair working approached me and spoke down to me in an extremely condescending tone unprompted as if something was wrong with me. There was just a simple misunderstanding that I apologized for immediately, I wasn't aware that what I was looking at was back-stock and I did not even touch it. She continued to speak down to me as if I was stupid after I realized what my mistake was. I work customer service and I would never treat a customer this way— I have never experienced this hostility anywhere else, especially not right off the bat. This place has very negative energy and honestly this experience was just odd. There are many metaphysical stores around that have positive energy with much better people. 🖤

Ya, these are supposed to be real stones.... they are not. The dye clearly rubbed off and paying 3 bucks for each red coral just to have to leave dye stains on my skin and my son's... super embarrassing and tells you everything you need to know as to why Aquarius is closing. I think y'all should offer to give me my money back.

I go here almost every time I’m in town. They are super nice and helpful. They have sooooooo many things to look at! Love love love love it!

This spot has everything you can need for your higher-self. Located on Broadway in the Westport area, it is well lit with plenty of floor space. They have a large selection from books,tarot cards,crystals,oils, and jewelry just to name a few. They also do palm readings however I didnt inquire on the prices. The prices are very reasonable in relation to competitors. Customer service is great and they go out of there way to help and actually walk with you take you to the items in the store. This little gem is worth the trip.

I was so excited to find this store existed! I needed some supplies and prefer to shop local, but I wasn't sure how cost effective it would be on a budget. I realllly did not want to go the Amazon route but I did want to compare prices. There was NO comparison! Not only are the prices reasonable, but the quality, quantity, variety, and my favorite of all-the customer-service made this a slam dunk! And I could have it right then and there! There was a line waiting for the doors to open right at noon! I got to touch the crystals, pick the perfect bundles of palo santo, sage, incense, and other metaphysical finery; I even got to purchase the tarot I knew was perfect for me. And the vibes... all good feelings! I probably need a second job because I cannot wait to go back to Aquarius and give them all of my money!

My daughter is newly obsessed with crystals and has fallen in love with this place. I went with her one day and I admit I was expecting some sort of dark creepy dungeon-like place and Aquarius is not like that at all!! It's bright and very, very clean. The staff was so lovely and welcoming. And they know their stuff! They told us about their products and were so eager to share their knowledge. They have sooooo many crystals to choose from- all extremely well organized, in all different sizes and price points. Most of them have descriptions about them and if they don't, the staff can offer info on them. They have a huge jewelry selection, some beautiful clothing, a fairly large kid's toy section, and a large room filled with books for sale. Anything you want regarding metaphysical/pagan/Wicca, etc. is available here. Such a fun store!!

Claims to be the biggest metaphysical shop in the Midwest, not sure if that's accurate. The whole vibe was kinda weird and commercial, not what I usually get from these kind of shops.

I have visited this store for many years and highly recommend them! They have a large selection of occult and new age books, along with a huge section of altars, jewelry, and much more. If you are in Kansas City, they are the metaphysical headquarters with information about lots of local events.

I was followed around the store actively harassed by a store associate and treated as if I was stealing for looking at crystals and rocks. I work for a local store near by and have never stolen anything so I was extremely confused as to why I was being treated like a criminal by the woman working the floor. It was truly humiliating and my purchase was $8 dollars of crystals.

Wonderful staff. I've been to several new age stores by now but this one left a strong impression on me. Warm energy abounds from the store and the staff. I felt instantly welcomed into their space and they were very helpful, from helping me find the tarot card section to walking me and my partner back to our car after closing. As a tarot collector I was impressed by the wide variety of cards they had in stock. Titles I had only seen online - The Wild Unknown, The Linestrider Tarot, etc- were there. Most places just sell basic tarot decks and a minimal selection at that. Their tarot selection fills an entire wall although not many tarot books to come by. . However, they have a lot of other books, more than anywhere else I've been. The crystals and gems they sell are fine quality as well, especially so the Lapis and Amethysts . The store is big and they have a lot to offer. Deity statues, incense, and beautiful singing bowls to name a few.

This place is awesome! Very high quality crystals and the most diverse stock of crystals in Kansas City, although I think they are way over priced. They also have beautiful jewelry and a huge selection of metaphysical books, tarot cards, chimes, incense, sage, herbs, & more. You can get psychic readings here too! I would recommend parking in back instead of on broadway, since it's a pretty busy street. There's almost always open parking spots in the back.

This place is awful, avoid coming here. There is an old female that goes around yelling and harrasing you, according to her and maybe the management marketing to make you buy more crap. Anyway, she goes around yelling and following you, like you are going to shoplift and runaway with something. I read in another review that the manager or whoever answer the reviews justify this erratic behavior by saying that this crazy is autistic... like there is no teraphy and meds and some exorcism too. The atmosphere is like of necromancy instead of light, and you leave drained from this place. The crystals and products in general are very expensive, compared with other stores form the same category in the area.

A very cool place to stop in! They have tons of different crystals in a variety of prices. One thing I have noticed is that Aquarius does have higher prices on some of their crystals in comparison to other shops I've visited. But for the selection, I really can't complain! Other than crystals they have sage, palo santo, black salt, and other herbs along with incense. They also have a few pieces of clothing, like long flowing skirts that are beautiful! They have a pretty decent selection of books with a lot of interesting topics to read about! I do wish there were a few more books focusing on the paranormal/clairvoyant side of things. When you go to Aquarius, give yourself plenty of time to explore! You really need an hour to look at everything :)

The staff are very nice, but I did not like the vibe, because there was not one. Not what I'm looking for in a spiritual spiritual store. More like a good tourist spot.

First time I had ever been to this place and the experience was amazing. I had just gotten into rings and the staff showed us a load of different rings even though they knew I wasn't buying. I am definitely coming back here!

Thank you!!! I was basically thrown out of Spectrum store today because I have a respiratory disease and could not put a mask against my mouth only to be welcomed into Aquarius's store. I, as I always do, kept my mask close to my face. The staff at Aquarius were wonderful and accommodating. I guess I was meant to end up here. The selection was just what I needed. Thank you!

This place is insane. From the people that work there all the way to the prices. I visited a day ago and the vibe in the store is horrible. One red flag considering it's a crystal store. I was definitely racially profiled by an old ass white lady. Her vibe was definitely giving very dense, passive aggressive and racist. I could not breathe without her coming up to me breathing on my neck, like at that point she might've hoped on my back for a piggy ride. Every three mins the lady walks up and ask if I need help. Obviously I don't need help that often if I didn't tell her yes to the offer the first time. I also noticed her male coworker go up to a black couple and tell them to stop touching things, what's running a store if people can't touch items?? Running customers out the door. It seem like they only want white people in there, this isn't the first time I've had this experience. I went back in 2020 had this exact experience but I thought I'd give it another chance with it being three years later but I guess not. Seems like this store needs to be placed in a hick trump town and not the diverse area of Westport!! Zeros across the board. I give one star on her bc I have to but I most deff would rate -100.

I've bought a book on reading tarot cards, from here, but I've not read it. My Celtic t-shirt, from the clothing section of this store. Oh the clothes, gauze and pretty clothes. My glow in the dark candle, and Celtic candle holder, that's right, you got it. My incense, and incense holder, my bell, and my tiny alter cloth-(I could've made it, but I bought it from here.) Let's discuss the jewelry...several of my rings, if they aren't Black Hills Gold or silver, were purchased from Vulcom Forge, the other part of this store. I have a very intricate pentagram ring from this store. My sterling silver peace sign, from here. Get my drift? See a pattern? I've spent many hours here. I bought my air freshener here, and my oils from here, also. Many of my little trinkets, too, are from here. I love the new lay out and the parking availability. They've been at this location for a couple of years, and why I've not added them to my Yelp, I have no idea. The employees are great, and the store owners rock. It's a complete metaphysical store. They also provide services that I've never used. Heck I go there when I need something, and they have it. They'll order it for you if they don't (My Tarot of the Dead deck is an example of it). Seriously, I owe alot to this store. They've provided me so much knowledge.

I've been to a few shops where when you walk in, it's a sensory overload or its not "cleansed" properly and you feel overwhelmed or sick even but this place...I've NEVER felt calm and peace or a sense of home at a shop in general the way I do at Aquarius. The staff are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the items they sell are ALWAYS the best of the best. I have been a loyal customer for over a year now and there's nowhere else I would go for the atmosphere and the beautiful items they carry. Btw, the oil perfumes are wonderful!

There's very many options, I was going in for 2 things and came out with multiple things and I was amazing with there selection of books. There was a wide amount of crystals too and very cheap - there's also a very big amount of tarot cards and herbs

Bad return policy! - I purchased a deck of cards. Was told if I had the receipt, I could return it within 2 weeks. When I tried to return it a few days after purchasing it, they told me since the shrink wrap has been removed, I can't return it. But That not what the fine print said on the bottom of the receipt and that's not what i was told. Never shopping here again!

This store gave me a horrible experience. The items I must admit were unique though fairly overpriced compared to other shops like Seventh Heaven and Vulcans Forge. The emphasis here was on selling as much product as possible but not connecting with the customer. As a former retail worker I was taught ways to sell merchandise without shoving it down my customers throat. An older woman working on the retail floor barely gave me and my girlfriend any space, I made it clear to multiple salespeople I wasn't interested. At one point they tried to sell me a $25 stone, after I told him it wasnt in my budget he referred me to the $35 version of the stone . I'm not sure if they are worried of shoplifting or what but I was drained by the time I left the store, worst experience ever.

This place is pretty cool. I didn't have much time to shop but I did get my tarot cards read and she was good. I can't wait to go back and look around some more.

Honestly after shopping here I am so emotionally exhausted. I've been needing to add to my crystal collection so I decided to give this place a try. I wasn't there for more than two minutes before I had a woman hound me with so many questions and clearly trying to pressure me into buying things I didn't want or I thought was over priced. This women alone probably came up to me at least 6 times in the 20 minutes of me being there continuously trying to talk me into buying something I wasn't comfortable buying. The man behind the crystals counter (a counter with small to medium crystals in it) was also trying his hardest to pressure me into buying a tiny stone that was priced at $25, I made it clear over and over that it wasn't in my price range. I end up having to walk away in the middle of him trying to sell it to me because I got too fed up. I managed to buy a few items but I can safely say I will never be shopping here again. I understand people need to make profit but I couldn't even breath near a product without a worker trying so desperately to get me to buy their over priced products and ended up leaving with less things I intended to buy because I couldn't stand how unsympathetic and pressuring they were. Not only that but the whole vibe was totally off in the store, you have a man yelling at the register every 2 minutes every time someone buys something or passes him. You can literally hear some of the customers uncomfortableness, if that makes any sense. Take your money somewhere else, go to etsy if you have to before going here.

Lovely metaphysical shop. Good selection and great people. I get most of my supplies here and have for years now. Even if you aren't very spiritual it's a nice shop to check out.

All are welcomed in this shop. Even me! I first walked in Aquarius' doors about a year ago just a curious beginner trying to find my 'path'. Oh my, my! What a spiritual journey I have been on ever since and I owe a lot of my success to Aquarius. The staff are not just retailers, they are experts in a wide variety of fields from spirituality to religion to stones/crystals to incense/ aroma therapy to aura and energy work, etc, etc... you get the picture. The employees have all been there for years and are a wealth of knowledge eager to be tapped. They are so passionate and want to help customers as much or as little the patron sees fit. Some days I go in with questions, in need of direction, not needing to buy anything, and I come out not with purchases, but with knowledge and on a 'high'. The energy in this shop is amazing! It's a great place to focus just on yourself and your needs leaving the outside world on hold... just for a while. I have found no other store so plugged into the community like Aquarius. Check out their calendar of events and you'll see what I mean. I've even witnessed visiting Tibetan Monks perform a fire ceremony there. Who else can boast that!? Aquarius appears to be prime real estate for psychics and mediums as well. The owner, Barbara, is very, very selective when it comes to who can sit and give readings inside the shop. The readers are there Wednesdays- Sundays and operate on donations only. If you're a beginner like me and need a bit of guidance or if you're more advanced on your spiritual journey and know what supplies you need, definitely check out Aquarius!

I am glad there is a good metaphysical shop in KC. A great selection on candles, oils, incense, books, and gemstones. The 7-day candles and gemstones are horribly overpriced. You can get the EXACT SAME candles at Price Chopper for $1.50. They charge $4.25 for them here. I guess you can get top dollar when you are the only game in town. All in all...the staff is very well versed in their available inventory. They genuinely seem happy to help and enjoy their job. It really is a good place if you are the type of person who is spiritually connected or a sole practitioner. It's a definite star on my map of cool places to shop.

Definitely a solid new age/metaphysical shop. They seem to have a good variety of products and you'll probably find what you're looking for. As a crystal person, some of their prices seem really good and some seem pretty steep. This is in comparison to the shops I've been in across the country (primarily in Michigan) so that may just be the area, at this point I'm not quite sure. I love that the store has enough space. SO many new age shops are tiny! I'll be back to check it out and recommend Aquarius.

I love this store for anything i need in metaphysical tools and books. Amazing staff (Mark, John, Alex and Barbara) are the best and are always helpful and knowledgeable about anything spiritual, Wiccan or Pagan that you need. Incense, candles, oils, herbs etc. Its all here plus beautiful clothing and robes, cloaks and ritual wear. Amazing place....

Aquarius is a great spiritual shop in Westport. I have purchase ritual candles, stones, books and incense from here. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Its so easy to spend a hundred dollars here! Its also easy to spend less than $20! I like that they have ritual candle bundles sold in sets of 3 candles. I got the new job set. I also bought some lavender incense cones. Next time I will buy the third eye (ajna chakra) stone!

I love this place for incense. They sell almost every kind of incense, cones, oils, burners, crystals and whatever else you need! I love how there is open space where you can browse around instead of feeling hurried like in some places.

This place is very interesting. It's one of those new age//spiritual shops. My friend brought me by here. I liked it. Odd items and interesting people. It's worth the visit.

I took an out-of-town guest to Aquarius today, and she was so impressed! This is a big store with books, crystals, candles, clothing, statues, herbs, incense, a big variety of Tarot and other fortune telling cards, and everything New Age-y and witchy. It shares a retail space with Vulcan's Forge, which has wonderful silver and gemstone jewelry in every price range, some of it made on the premises. The staff members are very friendly and they don't hover, so it's a comfortable place to browse to your heart's content. The store attracts friendly, diverse customers and you can usually overhear interesting conversations. It's a great place to buy a beautiful, unique gift for someone, regardless of their lifestyle. It's one of my favorite places in Kansas City!

Around 1 pm today august 28th 2021 My niece and I entered the building with intention to find crystals, (the ones I even got to see were nice but very expensive.) this was my VERY FIRST TIME ever coming to this store so I was excited to see what I could find. Not even 3 minutes into my visit at the store I was rudely approached pretty boldly in a kind of personal attack way by I'm guessing an employee TELLING me "we are required to wear masks again and I don't have one for you." eyes WIDE open in a super judgmental way and walked off. Infront of the entire store, mind you it was pretty busy. i dropped my mask on the ground on the way to the building on accident and I wasn't aware on how strict the mask rules were at this store, I've been to many many places that do not make the masks mandatory but I made an assumption and entered the building anyways when I did I saw multiple people with their masks below their mouths. I could not believe how disrespectful and insensitive this employee was, especially because I was with a child at the time. It's crazy how I knew immediately that the customer service at this store was SHIT. The employee could have gently and KINDLY pulled me to the side and requested that I get a mask, maybe even offered masks that they personally sold (I don't know if they even did sell them I didn't even make it past the counter but thats not the point.) she also did not respect the 6 feet rule as well and a matter of fact NOBODY was, not even the customers. I had every intention on wearing a mask if necessary but I will not be treated like that. Period. i will not ever be returning to this store, Im completely pissed on how me and my family member were treated i never been the type to make a big deal out of things and I ALWAYS treat people how I'd wanna be treated So.

Barbara Criswell is an amazing business owner! So classy and nice. Aquarius is my favorite as the inventory is huge and the store is laid out well. Excellent prices..5 star fabulous!

This place is amazing. They were super helpful and got me to the right stones. I really appreciate the help. The energy was warm and very inviting in there. A wealth of stones, books, and incense.

I went in this store a few years back and it was a fine experience but tonight I left pissed off. I was looking to buy some crystals to make jewelry out of and was quite unhappy to find that they were $5 each. I stood there, in awe, hoping an employee would come over and assist me but I got no such help until I walked out and walked back in, fuming mad, and asked for some help from one of the two employees who was just standing around. I will NEVER go back in this store. Such bad customer service and ridiculous prices. I'll stick to buying rocks and such off Ebay.

The store is beautiful and majestic! Cynthia, John Mark, are all warm welcoming. Everyone has a open heart. The crystals, cards, books, and clothing is very well priced. On the jewelry side, Cynthia guided me with wonderful service and she explained the process of how they create special rings, necklaces, and bracelets. John Mark provided great information and sweet assistance. Aquarius is a blessing. I recommend visiting the store if ever in Westport, Missouri.

I'm not the kind of person that thinks that a person shouldn't make a profit selling items. I do have a problem with people saying anything true or not to sell the items. The selection is good at the store, but definitely do your own research. They don't mind not telling the truth because it doesn't matter as long as the sale goes thru. Yuck

I'm not much of a fan of most of the products they have available, since it doesn't really appeal to my lifestyle, but I will say that Aquarius is the store my wife and I buy incense at. We have yet to find a better selection for the price and the staff has always treated us well.

I strongly suggest this place, if you are looking for metaphysical supplies. The energy in this place is amazing and the staff is highly knowledgeable and friendly. There are classes and reading offered. So many things to chose from and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a look.

One very intriguing place! All things spiritual and metaphysical, and they really help you understand the meanings of the stones, crystals, etc. The place takes me instantly to a higher level as soon as I walk in the door!

I love this place!! Whether I need an item or am just browsing, its a wonderful place to spend any amount of time. The back room with all of the books should be my own private library, and while I am there, I feel like it is. There is very good energy throughout the store, the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful, and the prices are not outrageous.
