Aquarius on The Beach

Room over all was nice enough couch needed updating as it looked very well used the rest of the room was fine and clean. Car parking is an issue with limited spots for such a large establishment. staff are hit and miss, their policies need reviewing as unlike most other hotels they take full payment of your room the morning of arrival and fail to tell you this. then if messages of an issue when their system tries to take payment and their is a glitch don't get received only then do they call at 4.30 to say they will cancel your booking by 5pm because reception closes on a Sunday at 6pm. They also take full payment of a room if you cancel a night with less then 24 hours notice.

What an amazing location, I booked one night and was very grateful to get an early check in to get settled into a very clean room with kitchenette, microwave and decent size fridge, the bed was comfortable and soft, the balcony has a magnificent view of the strand of Magnetic Island. A great selection of snacks and drinks were available from the vending machines in the foyer. Access to parking from the front and rear of the property. All in all, a relaxing stay.

A reasonably priced hotel well located on the Strand and close to restaurants, bars etc. Every room seems to have a sea view and a small balcony over looking the Strand.|The kitchenette is ok but so small it is of little real use for anything other than making drinks. Rooms otherwise are of a good size, clean and the aircon works well although things are a little dated.|Annoyances include the fact that one of the lifts is not working as it is being replaced and this also seems to include quite some building noise. |Of a weekend pretty much every yahoo in Townsville with a loud exhaust seems to roar up and down the Strand, the noise is very intrusive and an early bed time certainly isn't going to be on the cards.|I'd use again but it would only be in a list of possibilities rather than my go to.||We didn't have a car but the parking seems more than adequate with a large enclosed rear parking yard and on street parking at the front so I'm not sure where the paragon comments on other reviews come from.

Good place and I enjoyed it. Staff good room good, bed OK but shower over bath makes us older people feel unsafe. Maybe a non slip shower mat or something similar would be safer. A ceiling fan in bed area would be great too. As there is no food etc here maybe a vending machine with frozen meals that could be heated in provided microwave. That all said, I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms are a little small but you don't need a place to enjoy being here, on the 11th floor the view was exceptional such a beautiful place to wind down after a long week. The pool was awesome to be in and around on a hot summer day with humidity of 55+ aircon works fantastic in the room and balcony views are beautiful best enjoyed in the cooler evenings as the sun heads west. Recommended best enjoyed with good people and good beer.

4 star hotel with 5 star service. The receptionists have all been incredibly helpful and accommodating. They’ve answered the phone promptly each time I’ve called. Helped me with making a last second booking and then accommodated to my request to change rooms because I had vertigo from booking a room that was too high for me lol The executive ocean view room is clean and tidy. Has a great view and the location is very central. Very happy with my choice to stay here. Plenty of free parking on-site is a huge tick as well if you’re bringing a vehicle or hiring a car while you’re here.

Great place, Lovely large clean room and amazing view. The strand is beautiful and great for walking. The proximity of restaurants and cafes was excellent. We stayed six nights and the rates were very reasonable. The little balcony off our room was lovely . Staff were friendly and helpful . Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for our stay in Townsville, before heading to Magnetic Island. We were greeted at the front desk with a lovely welcome and an upgrade. The apartment had everything for a couple of stay, u fortunately we only booked 1 night. Definitely could have stayed longer with a kitchenette, king bed and lounge. The balcony overlooked the beach and below were many cafes and restaurants to choose from. |First impression of Townsville was very positive.

A true 5 stars all around. Every room has a ocean view, very clean and well maintained. The staff is really attentive specially the 2 ladies in the front, Lisa and Jen. Always smiling and go out of their way to help. Place is very central just within a couple of blocks of some real nice restaurants and bars. I really enjoyed my stay here specially my first time to Townsville. Will be back.

A very good hotel, excellent location and comfortable clean rooms with plenty of off street parking and awesome ocean views. The only disappointment was the very slow and inconsistent WiFi in the rooms which was very frustrating. This meant multiple trips to the foyer to use the internet as it was the only place the WiFi worked for me.
