Aquasport

Nice place to get fresh seafood. Premises were clean and well kept and service is very good. Food is top notch and fresh. The mahi mahi with rice had a perfect heat and seasoning, same with the mussels. A better place to eat than other places we saw at the nearby Coco beach.

This was the perfect spot for our last night in Costa Rica. The restaurant has a casual menu, we had the burger and fajitas with a couple of drinks and they were really good. But what we really wanted was one last sunset and this is where the restaurant shines. It is the perfect spot to sit back with your feet in the sand and watch the sunset. They had a live jazz singer which really set the mood and a fun swing that people took their turn on to take their photo with the sunset.

This is right on the beach in playa Hermosa. We researched several restaurants in this area and are glad we chose this one. The food was excellent. Also a very nice environment. Completely covered but very open. You can see and hear the ocean. The seafood was very good, especially the Tamarind Mahi Mahi and the seared tuna. Several in our group had the fruit smoothies and loved them!

Lovely setting on the beach. The building and bathrooms seem to be brand new. We had the pizza, quesadilla, chicken tenders and a few drinks that were all good. Overall a much better, cleaner, and family friendly atmosphere and experience than the beachside place we ate at in Playa Coco. The prices are a little steep but that’s to be expected for a beachside dining experience.

We chose aquasport as our last dinner in Costa Rica and it was more so of a disappoint. I ignored the negative reviews because the views looked great and I thought, it’s the slow season maybe it’ll be good. Honestly, I think if the prices matched the quality of food you get I wouldn’t think it was so bad but this ended up being our most expensive meal out of all of Costa Rica and it was our least favorite. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I honestly enjoyed my meal which was beef saltado pasta and my fruit drink was decent and priced well. Our appetizer and my wife’s meal were overpriced and not great. Fortunately my meal was also a large portion so she ate half of mine. I think it’s just overhyped because of the location. I believe that some things on the menu are good and priced well but it just doesn’t seem consistent.

Great little beach with restaurant and bar with a great menu of drinks and food. You can get standard American food here like pizza and burgers. Or you can go local like we did. Great place to catch a sunset too.

WILD how expensive this appetizer was and mediocre at best. This place needs some improvement and I truly hope the managers pay attention and do a better job. Poor attention from the service, this was a to-go order and service was charged regardless. The need to be more careful and attentive would actually make people come back. Good music and lounge area.

We had a great meal with a great view of the beach! Loved the tables right on the beach and the string lights. Live music was icing on the cake.
