From the American perspective, it's not as big as I'm used to but this is definitely the case of quality over quantity. The tanks and enclosures were phenomenal and you can tell everything is taken care of here. I've never seen monkeys just out and about. Being able to see them up close without any dividers or glass was very cool although slightly scary as there are signs that they can bite

The aquatium is one of its kind, where you get to know a lot about different sea creatures in a fun and interactive way. The aquarium has different sections focusing on different species, but the way it is designed it very interesting. One can easily take close to 2hours to cover the entire area. It is very well maintained and you have an option of half price ticket after 5pm, but the aquarium closes at 6pm, so 1hour wont be enough time to explore it properly. But still a must visit with kids/family/friends if you happen to be in Lausanne.

This Aquarium was absolutely beautiful! the tanks were all very clean and the environments were enriching for both the viewer and the animals. The space was pretty big and well laid out I had a great day here!

This is the only aquarium of its type in Switzerland where you can study various species that live in and around fresh water on all continents of our planet. I made the mistake to visit a dull and rainy Saturday afternoon end of March 2025 when the place was filled up by families with small children that have come from all over the country. This takes away much of the concentration and time needed to study was is on display. Things are extremely well organized and if you come from far away there is a hotel beside the aquarium complex. On Saturdays, parking is free which slightly reduces the rather elevated cost of visiting. If you want to spend time here with some peace of mind, avoid week-ends and Wednesday afternoons when children are off from school.

Much more than expectation! Clean, well organised. Our kids enjoyed it tremendously. Appreciated the touch screen guide with multiple language options to explain about the species.

NOT much to see!! Finished under an hour :( Adult admission CHF32 person. Not much to see as many "empty boxes" with no fish/reptiles in them. Most tanks only have a few fishes.

Huge aquarium, very well maintained. Suitable for younger kids. It is nearby Vennes metro station (M2), only 1-min walking.

AQUATIS is a fascinating destination for nature enthusiasts and families alike. The facility is impressive, with modern architecture and well-thought-out exhibits showcasing aquatic life from around the world. The journey takes you through various ecosystems, offering an educational and immersive experience. The aquariums and are beautifully maintained, and the diversity of species—from fish and reptiles to amphibians—is remarkable. Additionally, ticket prices may seem steep for the overall experience, particularly for larger families. Overall, AQUATIS is a unique and engaging place that combines entertainment with education. It’s worth visiting if you’re in the Lausanne area.
