AQUATIS Aquarium-Vivarium

Amazing experience, very clean place, lots of tanks with a wide selection of animals. Visitors are being educated on a multitude of topics. Many seating areas to watch the animals closely. We loved the "tropical" room where the climate was very humid and warm, creating an authentic environment. It's amazing that you also get to see the tanks where babies are being raised. They have an impressive selection of snakes. Not juist the animals astonish, the design of the aquariums and vivariums are also splendid. Highlights in our opinion are the tunnel, the crocodiles, snakes, but also the many documentaries educating people on important topics like climate change. Definitely worth visiting and we can't wait to be back. Major respect for conservating wildflife, by slowly getting them back into their natural habitats, where they are prepared to be released into the wild once ready. That is so lovely and heartwarming.

We've been here many many times and it's almost a must-visit whenever we're in Lausanne. The kids love it and I have the impression they made some changes in some of the tanks and layouts. Anyway it's a great place to discover more about the living beings of the fresh waters. Sidenote: buying the tickets online makes you save some money.

One of the best aquariums. The enclosures and tanks are pristine and well maintained. The use of mirrors and blue lights gives it a distinct vibe. A must visit if you got some time in Geneva. Btw the tickets are a bit cheaper online

We had an overall great experience here. Everything is clean and well maintained. The staff at reception was welcoming. The only minus point for us was when we were checking out, we had to stay in a line to pay for the items from the shop and the lady at cashier was literally by herself doing multiple things at a time, checking in visitors from one side, checking out from the other side and fetching for other stuff at the same time. I would have thought establishments like this (with not soo cheap tickets) would have managed this better so visitors with kids do not crowd the check out area while waiting. But overall it was great. Would I come back again?yes with great pleasure!

From the American perspective, it's not as big as I'm used to but this is definitely the case of quality over quantity. The tanks and enclosures were phenomenal and you can tell everything is taken care of here. I've never seen monkeys just out and about. Being able to see them up close without any dividers or glass was very cool although slightly scary as there are signs that they can bite

The price is not too expensive. The big fish in the big aquarium is noce. But what's wonder is the Amazon snakehead fish. The day I went, the ticket and souvenir seller didn't have much service mind. They had a sullen face. I'll deduct 1 star.

This was really good, possibly the best aquariam I’ve ever been in. The crocodiles, komodo dragons and snakes were very cool

This is the only aquarium of its type in Switzerland where you can study various species that live in and around fresh water on all continents of our planet. I made the mistake to visit a dull and rainy Saturday afternoon end of March 2025 when the place was filled up by families with small children that have come from all over the country. This takes away much of the concentration and time needed to study was is on display. Things are extremely well organized and if you come from far away there is a hotel beside the aquarium complex. On Saturdays, parking is free which slightly reduces the rather elevated cost of visiting. If you want to spend time here with some peace of mind, avoid week-ends and Wednesday afternoons when children are off from school.
