Aquaventure Waterpark, as depicted in the enticing online pictures, turned out to be a complete disaster. We had booked tickets for 13 people, including shuttle service. The shuttle team, led by a rude woman, instructed us to move to the back and dictate our seating arrangements.
Upon arriving at the Aquaventure Waterpark, we were informed to connect our cellphones to their unsecured WiFi network to complete an online waiver form and obtain a wristband to enter the waterpark. Imagine the chaos as approximately 150 people attempted to connect simultaneously, repeatedly encountering “no internet connection” and “unable to connect” errors. We persevered for 15 minutes without success.
To access the waterpark, we passed by the mini shopping center and the casino, but lacked clear instructions and signage. We were left to fend for ourselves, leading to confusion and frustration.
The Rapid River was enjoyable, but a few people experienced head injuries from hitting rock walls while in tubes. They sought help in the office, but the staff was unhelpful and dismissive.
My sister-in-law’s water slide incident was particularly concerning. As she slid down, she stood up and stepped on a shark pin from someone’s earring, causing her toes to poke. She promptly reported the incident to the office, but the staff’s response was inadequate, dismissing her concerns without a thorough examination.
Overall, this waterpark poses significant safety risks to tourists, and the staff’s lack of politeness and professionalism further compounded the disappointment. Despite paying $2,854 for 13 people (9 adults and 4 children), the experience was far from worth it. We found CocoCay in the Bahamas to be a far superior destination.
I strongly advise against visiting this waterpark.
