10/10 the most delicious Mexican taco’s i have had in the Lehigh valley. They have plenty seating upstairs. Exceptional service! Friendly staff. This place deserves every rave it gets. The birria tacos are a must.

Wouldnt except a return or even look at my food when i told them there was cheese in it. She just swore to me up and down that it wasnt cheese. Than i got out into the sunlight and there was absolutely no denying it was cheese. The manager lady lied to me and swared to me just to save a few dollars to not remake it. They care nothing about your allergies. Look at these photos yourself... they blocked me and wouldnt accept calls and never can admit they are wrong and act like they arent capable of making a mistake. One of the worst dining experiences i ever had. I have no food for my trip up to the wildnerness and having an allergic reaction and these people just blocked me and eventually said they will refund after prooving them for an hour long with phone calls, photos, and of course i tried presenting the food to them physically but they wouldnt even look at it because than they would have to remake it

Simply fabulous! If you don't believe me, ask Vanilla Ice, he's been there too! The owner is an amazing man, the staff is wonderful, and the food is amazing!

I almost forgot how really good tacos should taste, here the tacos are so juicy and meaty u get full with 3 tacos they are definitely the best tacos is all Lehigh valley.

Google
I had an excellent experience at Aquí Es. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and you can feel the care put into everything, from the food to the service. I tried the beef tacos and they were delicious—the meat was well-seasoned, tender, and a good portion. The tortilla had that homemade flavor that makes all the difference. To accompany them, I had a horchata water that was perfectly balanced: not too sweet, creamy, and refreshing. Plus, the owner, Daniel, was super friendly and attentive. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and that's reflected in the quality of the place. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic food and warm service.

Google
The family running this place is first class all around!!! The food and their service is impeccable! The seating is up a flight of steep stairs and small, but well worth a try if even just for take out. The meat, veggies, spices were all so fresh and deliciously prepared.

Yelp
Been going here for the last 6 years and they have the best tacos in the area. Always fresh!! Everyone is so nice they walk you thru what's on each taco and they actually listen to what you want. Place is clean and very authentic.

John S.

Yelp
Authentic tacos in Bethlehem. Order at the counter, pay & they bring your food to you. Many people get food to go, but I ate at the upstairs dining area. The tacos were very good and reasonably priced.

Bettina D.

Yelp
The quality of the food was remarkable, a superb introduction to the area, guaranteeing future patronage. If you see him at music Fest definitely don't miss out. The staff was incredible as well.

Joshua C.

Yelp
Best mexican food in the lehigh valley! Highly recommend the Birria tacos with their hot salsa

Yelp
We ordered 3 Green tamales and 3 tamales de Rajas. Both were good, however we were expecting more of a kick. They weren't as spicy as we expected, but not bad. My husband asked for esquites and the owner said he didn't know what it was, but when I asked later on and he said yes. Didnt like that part, but over all delicious.

Yelp
If Juan is behind the grill, you're in for a treat (and he's seemingly always working - take a day off Juan!). Great food. The chorizo burrito is my go to. But the quesadillas and tacos are fantastic as well.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Wow. Hands down the best burrito I have ever had. Yes ever! I have been to many places in this country and this little hole in the wall managed to blow my mind. Fresh ingredients is where it starts. Chicken cooked fresh to order. The grilling on the outside of the burrito gave it a crispy texture that balanced out the burrito. Sauces are great as well. Nice staff - give them a shot - you'll thank me later.

Yelp
Amazing quality and price and the workers were also very nice. Highly recommend this place

Karrie R.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Authentic, mouth watering and I can't decide on what to get so I get it all. The fried tacos have an amazing crunch and then melts in your mouth. Love their homemade sauces

Eve S.

Yelp
so good! tiny seating area, but amazing authentic fare. two thumbs up! best mexican food in bethlehem pa!

John J.

Yelp
Great food, good service and the price was right. I'll go back. I hope they do well.

Yelp
Amazing portions! Prices were definitely higher than before but still affordable. Fish tacos were $3.75, so I ordered 3. My boyfriend ordered two steaks and one al pastor taco. We topped it all off with a side of sweet plaintains ($2.50) and two drinks. The food took roughly 20 minutes but the small shop has a couple of seats, which was nice. The store also had an ATM as it was cash only. The fish was a bit disappointing. The portions were big but it tasted like frozen fish filet, the ones you get in elementary school. I would give it 3/5 mainly for the size of the taco itself. The steak taco was also a bit on the dry side of things. Ended up drenching it in sauce which made it pretty good. The al pastor is 5/5. Very tender and juicy!! Highly recommend! The plantains were very sweet but a bit too mushy. It was around 4-5 pieces for $2.50, not sure if it was worth it. Great service which made the experience better

Shavon B.

Yelp
1st time visiting, shrimp was amazing, not fond of the raw taco...next time trying it fried. Very yummy!!

Lou Z.

Yelp
Food was great!! People so nice! Place was clean and even the "basic" chicken tacos were amazing!! Full of flavor! Fried plantains we're dynamite! Wished they were open early would have taken order to go before we left town!
google avatar

Tammy G.

Yelp
I love this place! Their food and service are consistently good. Love their shrimp tacos...a great treat on the days I work late.
google avatar

Breanna M.

Yelp
Very tasty tacos for the cheap! Would definitely recommend. There's no seating available and CASH ONLY, but you there's an ATM inside that you can use for cash. I tried the fish, chicken and al pastor tacos all were very good! I had a spicy salsa on the side And I wish it definitely brought the heat but wish it was a little more flavorful. Still, I would get the exact t same thing again!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered there once, and I was not too impressed. I'm sorry, I don't mean to ruin its reputation so I'm giving it a 3 star.
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
The tacos were a bit dry and there was a hair in the rice. But the plantains were so good along with the churro. Overall would give them another try.

Yelp
What a find. We were here to a number of different reasons, but Mexican food was definitely not on that list. The store front is tiny but you get to see the army trained rows of taco tortillas lined up on the grill as you enter, and a possible sighting of the jumbo burrito grilling on the other grill. There are small seats in the front with a window bar facing the outside taco-less world. Ordering is pretty quick and the menu can seem overwhelming. I got the carne asada and the chicken peach tacos...My SO got the jumbo burrito. We were seated in the back upstairs room where there was more seating and saw that Vanilla Ice had visited. The wall decor is obviously reminiscent of a beautiful home country and our order was out in about 10 15 minutes on a busy Sunday night. The jumbo burrito is about the size of two burritos...For 10 bucks and 2 meals, it's a damn good deal. The special part is their burrito itself is grilled, so the outside isn't this gooey piece of flour. It holds up very well. The tacos....Can't complain. Some of the best I've tasted in the new England area. (Mid atlantic?) Damn good. Please try...It's seriously got me drooling thinking about it.

Yelp
Amazing tacos!!! Saw the great yelp reviews and since we were visiting Bethlehem wanted to try this taco joint out and it did not disappoint!!! Tried the following tacos-carnitas, al pastor, bistec, shrimp and chicken! The carnitas and the bistec were my favorite! The medium salsa is amazing and I loved the salsa that comes with the fresh chips! So good!!!
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
I had a burrito from here and it was huge. I loved it that it was huge. But, I am not a fan of a lot of sauce or liquid in my burrito. It felt like I was eating an enchilada and not a burrito because it was too liquidy, everyone that goes here usually tells me that it's a great place but as for my taste, I prefer a dryer burrito and a flavorful one. Again, I have not tried other dishes, but the burrito is very important to me. My expectation was a burrito like you get at Chipotle but more flavorful.
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
Food is really good!! The nachos is a meal in itself! Burrio tacos where decent. Their pastor is good! Churros was good too! I'd order ahead if possible. Waiting outside too awhile. Not much room inside! Not sure if their is indoor dining before Covid but none now. Def a take out for now! Really tasty food!

Yelp
Very friendly staff from the minute you walk-in. I asked about some of the items of the chalkboard menu and the cashier said she was not really aware of it because it was new - this is good and bad. Good because they are constantly adding to their menu, bad because they should really know what the menu items are. They bring you a (very small) starter plate of freshly fried tortillas but the salsa looked and tasted very store bought, and it was sweet which was unexpected. We also didn't get a cup of water, but when we went downstairs to request water, we got bottled water which was nice. Service was timely. My vegetarian burrito or so been a nice glass plate while my fiancé's tacos were served in a plastic plate, can't explain the discrepancy. That didn't really take away from the experience at all. The veggie burrito was quite delicious. They stuffed it with a lot of veggies rice and beans, which is a vegetarians dream! My fiancé ordered chorizo, pork, and pork and pineapple tacos and he said the taste was equivalent to street tacos of Los Angeles or Texas. They also provided us with a variety of three sauces: one was an avocado and jalapeño sauce (decent spiciness), one was tomatillo (always a classic), the last one was a dark red fiery hot sauce (you may die). We also asked for pico de gallo, but there was a 250 charge for that. So we passed. Overall, a really great place to come for some homemade Tex-Mex food. We're only here for a day for interviews, but I would definitely be a frequent flyer here if I was local.

J V.

Yelp
Pricey but overall good n clean. Tasty tacos and great service get me to comeback for more. The fried tacos and burritos are great.

Gabby G.

Yelp
I am beyond impressed, the food was delicious and perfectly seasoned! The service is fast! You order at the counter and can do to go or you can sit in their sitting area upstairs! Very cozy and super clean, I am not usually in this area a lot but I will be definitely be coming back often just for this restaurant! The portions are very big and I definitely recommend coming with an appetite! You can also pay cash or now they accept cards too!!

Yelp
A good Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican flavors. Coming from California with so many great Mexican restaurants, taco trucks and taquerias, I'd have to say..."Aqui Es" is as close to the authentic Mexican flavors that I'm used to as can be around here. Their shrimp taco is currently my favorite. Their steak burrito is great too. The steak tacos and chicken are a little overcooked and dry at times, so it's a hit and miss. I have yet to try the rest of the menu but will update as I go. Overall, I really enjoy the foods here. "Gracias" for bringing the authentic Mexican flavors to this part of town.

Wesley H.

Yelp
Amazing, been to Mexico many times and am usually disappointed by many Mexican places in the United States. This was far beyond my expectations. Amazing food.
google avatar

A. W.

Yelp
Absolute perfection! My first visit today and it certainly won't be my last. Tuesday's as far as I can tell you can get three chicken or beef tacos for $6. These were the best I've ever had. Can't wait to try more items from their menu. Staff incredibly pleasant and we very welcoming. Will 100% be back soon--and often.

Yelp
This is our second time and first time back during covid. My family pulled up on rainy Sunday noon and we ordered variety tacos and just went to town in our car... 5 of us ordered 16 tacos chicken, pastor, tongue, carnita, chorizo, fish they were all fantastic. Lady even came out to give us more napkins and at the end a gentlemen came out to see if we wanted to discard garbage!!! Lol. I love them.
google avatar

Steph R.

Yelp
Food is very good from tacos to burritos. We've ordered out and ate in side everyone is very nice
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
Definitely the best tacos I've had in Pennsylvania. Chorizo tacos were perfectly cooked and packed with a lot of flavor. The salmon taco was also super moist and melted in my mouth. Don't miss this place.

Yelp
CAsh ONly!!! But whatever!! This place is beyond Authentic I am consistently amazes at the flavors, friendliness and fantastic service! AQUI ES! Is a dream come true for this born and raised Cali-girl.

Yelp
Really disappointed! Prices have gone up by 50% in just a few short months! The last time I was here three shrimp tacos were $7.50. Now just a few short months later, they are $11.25 for the same three shrimp tacos. Owner blames food prices. Absolute bull pucky! Says that seafood prices are going through the roof. I shop at ShopRite in Bethlehem once to twice a week. I purchase lots of seafood for my menus. Seafood has not, repeat NOT, gone up by 50% at all! Shrimp prices are the same at ShopRite now that they were two years ago. This is just nonsense and greed in my opinion. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I'm not experiencing any where close to 50% increases in food prices where I shop. Sorry to say, this was my last visit to this establishment. Way too expensive now!

Yelp
I had an excellent experience with the take out here. I had a fried steak Torta (sandwich) and it was great. Fresh avocado, refried beans, mayonnaise and all the trimming on a great roll. I also had El Pastor tacos (marinated pork and pineapple). The were terrific, full of flavor and a great portion of meat. I had the chorizo tacos which were also excellent with a fine portion of meat. The tacos were packaged three to a box. They provided me with three complimentary sauces. They could have easily charged me for these delicious sauces: salsa verde, a red chipotle sauce and an avocado/ cilantro sauce. The service was excellent and expedient. They really made a point to turn out the food quickly. They also have a great selection of Mexican sodas.
google avatar

Yelp
I will make this short. Tasteless white flour chips. Horrid Pace like salsa. Terrible customer service experience. No greeting when I arrived... no smiles... no thank you. No niceties... just a bored looking woman who took my money. Good quality chicken in the chicken tacos, however there was no indication of any marinade used so it was essentially flavorless. All I really tasted were the packaged corn tortillas. The abundance of positive reviews for this place indicates to me only that there is a lack of good quality Mexican restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. I found Mexico Lindo to be much better for chicken tacos. They use a great marinade and it has a ton of flavor. Plus, the people are very nice there and appreciate my business. So, bad chips, bad salsa, bad customer service. Mediocre tacos. No reason to return.

Yelp
l was not impressed by this heavily touted establishment. The food was acceptable, but mediocre. I can't help but think they've snuck their way into the stars by offering phenomenal pricing at $5 for 3 Tacos, which is basically unheard of in 2017. I expect this will be changed in the near future. I ordered shrimp tacos and horchata. The horchata was over-spiced with pre-ground cinnamon which left it too dry and chalky. The shrimp tacos did have a generous portion of shrimp. However, the shrimp were very small and maintained the taste of a public swimming pool. They were unseasoned. The tortillas used in the complimentary chips and the tacos maintains too much grit and corniness. I wouldn't note this unless I knew much better was possible (see Taquiza in Miami, Tacos el Gordo in Las Vegas, Tlaxkalli in West Chester, Pa., or anywhere in Austin, Tx). I found this small and humble Mexican joint to be overrated and assuredly undeserving of its 5 stars.
google avatar

Libby O.

Yelp
If you want to taste real Mexican food, you must come here. The tacos remind me of visiting my abuelita's house in D.F. and walking down the street to get late night tacos. Once you come here, you're family. I HIGHLY recommend getting any of their tacos, empanadas, and churros. The only problem with Aqui Es is trying to decide what to eat.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
We just finished eating at Aqui Es. Meant to come here last night but they closed early due to snow. This is definitely a small family owned establishment whereby the eating area is actually located upstairs with about 10 tables. They started with complimentary homemade chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty tasty but the chips were a bit too oily. My son got the grilled chicken breast with rice and beans and a side salad. The chicken was really good and have flavor. I had the beer battered fish taco and a marinated steak taco, and a beef empanada. The protein was really fresh and they gave good amount cilantro and onions on top. Also have your selections of mild or medium sauce. My wife got the scallop taco, shrimp taco and a salmon taco. They are all made with corn tortilla taco so great for gluten free folks. Lastly dessert, they got a homemade flan and warm churros. All in all, great simple food with no frills. You will enjoy this place. Cash only, BYOB TOO and get this, Vanilla Ice ate here back in 2017. I give it a strong 3.5 stars.
google avatar

Mark J.

Yelp
My neighbor suggested we come here for dinner. From outside, the place resembles a takeout joint, with a counter and a view into the kitchen space. Upstairs is a small dining area with about 6-7 tables. Nothing fancy, and you can bring your own beer or wine. However, the food is fantastic! Authentic tacos, burrito, quesadillas, etc., not Taco Bell crap. The waitress offered homemade sauces which were outstanding. We all absolutely loved the food. The wait staff and the cooks were all very friendly. Highly recommend if you want some truly great Mexican food at tremendous prices!!

Cherish D.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Definitely would check it out if you are in the area! The tacos are incredible!
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Okay...so if you don't try this place you're missing out. Being from Texas, I'm a Mexican food snob. It's so hard to find authentic Mexican food in Northern states. Y'all, this is the real deal. We flew into NYC to NJ then PA to celebrate my stepson's 10th birthday. He wanted Mexican food and we hopped on Yelp on our way from Poconos to Hershey and this popped up as recommended. We gave it a whirl and wee so glad we did. Don't let the small venue fool you, they have seating upstairs. ;) Staff was so friendly and awesome. Food ordered: Chili nachos Cheese quesadilla Vegetarian burrito (no cheese, no sour cream) Beef gyro 3 steak tacos 3 chorizo tacos Amazing. All of it. No complaints on the food at all. Pros: Amazing food Big portions Friendly staff Awesome sauces Cons: Cash only Small location Canned/bottled drinks only Cons listed are only this because we are traveling and it was important at the time. It has no bearing on my rating at all. :)

Yelp
A place I crave when I visit my mom in Bethlehem. Cash only and very good and cheap tacos. $2 each and up. I have had better tacos at places like Pomona, California but these are very good. I define see why this place gets the love on Yelp.

Melissa F.

Yelp
Love the tacos reminds me of Cali, small place but food is never disappoints me, owner is very nice

Yelp
Two great things that stood out to me right away with this place was the hospitality and the salsa! Right when we walked in, the owner and all his employees were so welcoming, accommodating, patient and warm. & The salsa here is SO good. Even just their tomato salsa that came with a complimentary plate of freshly made tortilla chips was ridiculously yummy. We also had their avocado base medium heat salsa on our tacos and that brought our tacos to another level. We ended up ordering their Taco Tuesday special of 3 tacos de pollo for $6 and some fish tacos. The tortilla is just how I remember them tasting from my childhood - I grew up in Southern California and my family would always go to the local taco shop nearby. I really wanted to give them 5 stars from the nostalgia, but there were some things I wasn't completely satisfied with. The cilantro in the pico de gallo is great, but the overall taste of the sauce didn't stand out to me. I'm not seasoned enough to say what it is that I might be missing, but it just didn't taste like the big container of pico de gallo that my best friend's mom always made for parties. The chicken in my tacos was also pretty dry and I'm used to the pico de gallo giving it a little more taste, but it didn't. The fish taco was good though. The prices overall is more expensive than I'm used to, but I think it's because we're in Pennsylvania. I doubt it's easy to get all the ingredients they need for a good price here. I was surprised that there were even authentic Mexican restaurants here to begin with. I plan on coming back and trying more options and when I do, I might update my review because I feel like there's still so much I need to taste. They have empanadas and sweet plantains that I need to try.

Yelp
The food is simple and to the point. One of my boyfriends co-workers was raving about this place, so we had to give it a go. YUM! I loved the homemade chips, my tacos (chicken & beef) were tasty and that avocado hot sauce - Yowzers! If you like hot sauce, you have to try it! My boyfriend really enjoyed his jumbo burrito. I still cannot believe that he ate the entire thing! The staff was wonderful! They were so friendly. It was like being at a friends house for dinner rather than being at a restaurant. We are definitely going back!
google avatar

Hue L.

Yelp
Okay this is probably one of my favorite taco places of all time. I come here so often even though it's about an hour and a half drive away from me. You can see them making the tacos on the spot. When I come here my friends and I order probably about 10-15 tacos every time, and each time we come the tacos are amazing. They give you sauces on the side and my favorite is the spicy avocado sauce, it's a must try. All the ingredients are fresh and cooked in front of you through the glass. I've dined in and also done take out. The wait time for both are around 15-20 minutes all depending on how much you order. But either way you still get great service and great food. I just wish this place was also in Philly. The place has two floors, the main floor where the cooking is done and some seating by the front window and on the side by the register and the second floor where it's a larger room with bigger tables and more seating. It's a very cozy environment and also family friendly. The staff are also extremely nice and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
google avatar

NN L.

Yelp
I did not find the food that great (compared to many Mexican joints in SF, CA). The server was quite unfriendly - grumpy I shall say. She assumed the change was her tip and she did not even bother to give me the change. OH well, I will never go back to this place anyway.
google avatar

Thomas V.

Yelp
We were on a taco adventure during this father day weekend. We ordered the 3 steak and 3 chicken tacos. Service was very friendly and warming. The steak tacos were just delicious. The steak melted in your mouth making you just wanting more! The chicken was superb.... well my 2 year old really enjoyed them with momma. We also ordered the churros. Wish we had ordered more!! The churros were warm and yummy! Overall great experience. Friendly, clean, prompt and just a great vibe. We'll be back!

Bud H.

Yelp
Used to be one if my favorite mex restaurants. It got rated highly, got busy and changed for the worse. Service was always bad, maybe part of charm. Food has been poor my last few attempts to support them. Now they don't answer phone to order, terrible front service with long wait. Shame when a good place goes bad.
