We were so impressed with the atmosphere and service and the food and drink at this wonderful restaurant in Rome. Our Airbnb host, Veruska, had recommended this location to us and we were not disappointed. We were staying in the Testaccio neighbourhood. Not too far from the touristy spots but thankfully far enough away. Our server, Frederica, was over the top amazing and so helpful with our questions regarding the food and wine. We would recommend this location as a must visit destination while anyone is in Rome. The atmosphere in the restaurant was incredible and we got to do a private tour down into their basement where there are these ancient and amazing ruins. Paul and Andrea Canada

We visited this restaurant twice during our one-week stay in Rome, and it was absolutely perfect! It is not in the city center or among the usual tourist traps, and it is not a famous spot. We simply walked by, thought it looked nice, and decided to try it. It turned out to be our best dining experience in Rome. The food was amazing, with some of the best pasta we had on our trip. But it was not just about the food, the staff were so friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. There was no rush to order, no pressure to clear the table quickly for the next guests. Every customer was treated with genuine respect, and everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves. We spent around three hours there and had such a lovely time. A few days later, we had a reservation at “Felice a Testaccio,” an overrated restaurant that was a complete disappointment, both in food and in the way they treated customers. We left before even finishing our meal and came back here to end our last night in Rome on a good note. What a difference! The staff welcomed us warmly again, served us complimentary Limoncello shots, and when we asked about their delicious extra virgin olive oil, they told us it came from the owner’s relatives’ farm. They even offered to sell us some, and we happily left with two bottles at a very fair price. If you want to experience Rome with authentic food, a warm atmosphere, and genuinely kind people, this is the place. You will enjoy incredible pasta, be treated like a valued guest, and leave with a full heart. We will definitely be back again!

I have went through so many google reviews based on Italy restaurants and all said they have the best tiramisu but it’s not really that good. But for this one, IT IS REALLY THE BEST PISTACHIO TIRAMISU THAT I HAD IN ITALY! Fettuccine with mussels is also so good especially the grilled peppers~ One of the best lunch I have 🤭

Wonderful place!!! Best food so far in our trip through Italy. We ordered the Toast with Roast Beef for Aperitivo, the Fettuccini with Clams (best pasta that we’ve had so far!), the Pork, and the Pistacchio Tiramisu. Everything was truly delicious, and the service was top notch. Very cute and pleasant atmosphere as well, it really welcomes you to stay and enjoy your meal!

Great atmosphere, even for solo diner. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Aga and the tall one with blonde hair (sorry, I didn’t get your name) were just very friendly and make the dining experiences better than just the good food.

If I could give this place ten stars I would! We stumbled across Ar Monte on the second night of our 10 day stay in Rome. We ended our stay with them for a total of 3 nights, with each night, trying something different on the menu as recommended by Meysem our server who was an absolute amazing person. Next came sweet Agatha who was originally from Poland. When we asked for butter for our bread...she knew exactly why! The food was so authentic and so much to choose from. Both of these people took time to explain the menu items and answered any questions we had with zero language barriers. If you are looking for wonderfully amazing drinks...Lorenzo is your guy. I have never had a D'sorrono Amaretto sour like his. And I've had plenty! Not to mention the mojitos! Being from Texas, they made us feel like home. We entered there as strangers in a country for the first time and left like family. We will always remember AR Monte and look forward to the day we return!

Dined here with my husband and our parents and all enjoy our different meals. Particular highlights were the pork rolls and pistachio tiramisu. All the servers were friendly and helpful. Thanks to all
