Ar Monte Testaccio

Very cozy place, modern interior and their own pizzaolo in the middle of the room where they make great pizzas. The pizzas are enormous wheels but very thin. They also have great pastas and a huge wine collection. I think it's very popular among the locals. Always a good sign.

What a place! Had the filet yesterday. Liked everything so much I had to come back. Wonderful pistachio tiramisu. Wonderful steaks. Wonderful service by a young man named Meysam, who treated us very well and told us about the history of the restaurant and the hill! I will come here again as long as I am in Rome, incredible food and service

Seriously the best carbonara I’ve ever had! The pasta was perfect and my husbands Caco de Pepe was amazing. Service was excellent and the place is adorable. Definitely need to try this place when in Rome.

We stumbled upon this establishment during lunch hours by accident since the location is not very noticeable at first if it wasn’t for a very lovely waiter outside, but man… the food was DELICIOUS and served almost immediately as well as wine recommended by Frederica, whom was at our service the whole time and even came up with a nice courtesy of the house after the meal. Would definitely go again and heartly advise anyone to do so too! ❤️

We did some research regarding Testaccio, an area where we hadn't spent that much time, and this restaurant did not disappoint. We went for lunch and were pleased we got there when we did as it filled up pretty rapidly. The service, drinks, and food were outstanding and very reasonable for the quality and quantity. I would think that in the height of summer it could be a place you have to book, but well worth it and only a short distance from the metro.

From the staff, the atmosphere down to the dishes and the minor details. This place is a gastronomical masterpiece. Leave the tourists trap and get to an authentic experience. Update: another visit and it’s only been 5days, awesome people. Especially Meysam and Fredrica.
