The tickets are so affordable that it’s totally worth the quick 10min visit Inside. This marks a location where both Christian’s and Jews shared these baths - of course only the men with money were able to enjoy the baths… the reason it is so well preserved is because it became a laundry wash run by nuns for many many years.

A peaceful, must-see stop in Girona! The Banys Àrabs are well-preserved with helpful information displays throughout. They are also small-dog friendly if you have a carrier! Make sure to climb to the rooftop at the end for an amazing view of the city’s cathedral and churches.

The cost is too high for the quality of facilities. We thought after visiting that it is actually a waste of money and we could’ve taken a coffee and that will even be better

Cool little tour of the baths. Very low cost if you are a senior and very worthwhile. Signage in English so you can get the history.

Quite small but extremely cheap to get in. 5 euros for both of us. Very interesting and beautiful. Highly recommend 🙂

It was much colder here than in Pineda de Mar which is where we are staying. Very windy too! The baths are worth the visit. Very cool representation. There are stairs (some narrow spiral) so may not be great for people with mobility issues.

One of the top sites to visit while in Girona, out of the flocks of tourists visiting for the Game of Thrones filming areas. I sort of had to work to find the Arab Baths, but found it with some help of tourist guides marching around the city. The Arab Baths themselves were built by the Moors many many moons ago with the Roman bath houses in mind. Is it going to knock your socks off compared to many of the other sites in the city, maybe not, but the idea is to give you a view of the past and how the bath houses were used and constructed. The cost is very low (I believe 5 euro), and you can easily drop in and visit everything within half an hour, but definitely take in the history. I would suggest a short visit with plenty of pictures before making your way to the city center for more attractions or some delicious food (Or shopping!).

One of Girona's most interesting sites are the Arab Baths, situated a few minutes' walk from the cathedral in a very attractive part of the old city. Despite the name, they were probably built long after the Moorish period, but by Moorish craftsmen, some time in the 12th century. They continue the tradition of baths established by the Romans and continued by the Moors, and are the best preserved of their type in Catalonia. The baths' architecture is a mixture of Moorish and Romanesque elements, the latter most notable in the doorway into the impressive changing room, which is lit by an octagonal lantern supported on slender marble columns with delicate capitals. The other rooms - in the classic tradition of Roman bathing including hot, warm and cold baths - are more limited in their preservation, although the routes for lead pipes which channelled the water can clearly be seen. The route through the baths takes you up onto the roofs to see the cupola more clearly from above. Entry is EUR2. Due to the nature of the remains, they are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Moors occupied spain for 600 years. The Arab baths in Girona are in the historic district which is relatively small. Nice architecture, well preserved. Baths follow Roman design with the hot, tepid and cold rooms. Very short time required to visit (about 10-20 minutes total) but only a couple of euros to get in.
