7 Underrated Places to Visit in Dubai

"Located at the Jumeirah Archaeological Site, this branch combines a serene café atmosphere with a dose of local history—the site was excavated in 1969 and yielded artifacts dating to the Abbasid era, and it’s currently managed by the local culture authority. Visitors are advised to time visits for sunset and weekdays for better seating; ordering simple karak tea and luqaimat (sweet dumplings) makes for a light, traditional meal in a calm setting amid the fast-paced city." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We came here for a traditional breakfast and OMG talk about impressing someone! It’s the perfect spot to do so. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, I still can’t get over how good everything was. The staff were so sweet they noticed me taking pictures of the food and surprised me with a heart shaped bread! Such a thoughtful touch. The service and the whole experience really impressed me. Highly recommend!

We visited Arabian Tea House for breakfast and had a fantastic experience. We ordered one Arabic and one Egyptian breakfast, and the portions were more than enough for all five of us, including two kids. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and truly stood out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. A special mention to the supervisor Pramod Prasannan, who was exceptionally warm and ensured every guest was happy, even making sure our hot bread was topped up just in time. We also tried the karak tea, and as a tea lover, it was the perfect way to finish a great meal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend Arabian Tea House to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic breakfast in Dubai.

The ambience had a beautiful Emirati charm — calm, cozy, and truly relaxing. The background of old Arabic songs added a nostalgic and special vibe to the whole experience. I ordered the Egyptian breakfast, which was more than enough for two people! The falafel was crispy and flavorful, while the foul had that perfect traditional taste that brought back authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which is always a big plus in Dubai. Overall, a perfect spot for anyone who enjoys traditional Arabic vibes and excellent food. Highly recommended!

What a great place! Loved it! We went here on a Sunday afternoon and were mesmerized by how calm and pretty it looks. All the staff is incredible and so attentive and makes sure you’re well taken care of. We ordered the laban aryan, beetroot juice, Laham Machboos, Samak Kanaad Magli. The lamb was amazing and so was the fish. So crispy on the outside but just juicy deliciousness on the inside. Great flavors and overall so satisfactory! Will definitely be going back, this is a place you just can’t go wrong with. Their luqaimat looked amazing, but hadn’t had a chance to try it.

November 2025 5* Visited with colleagues for dinner on Sunday evening. Surprisingly the place was quite free indoor. However, it was full outdoor. So do make reservations if you are looking place outside. The place is nice and ambiance is good. Staff is very helpful. The food quality is great if you are looking traditional Arabian food. Sadly no many choice for vegetarian but still there were good options: Here is my food list: - Hummus and bread - Salad - Veg curry - Haloomi cheese The place is accessible and located inside the museum.
