7 Underrated Places to Visit in Dubai

"Located at the Jumeirah Archaeological Site, this branch combines a serene café atmosphere with a dose of local history—the site was excavated in 1969 and yielded artifacts dating to the Abbasid era, and it’s currently managed by the local culture authority. Visitors are advised to time visits for sunset and weekdays for better seating; ordering simple karak tea and luqaimat (sweet dumplings) makes for a light, traditional meal in a calm setting amid the fast-paced city." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I visited this restaurant twice, and both experiences were excellent. The first visit was for breakfast, and everything was absolutely wonderful. I would like to sincerely thank Nandar for her great service and professionalism. The second visit was for lunch, and Aisha helped us with the menu choices. She was extremely kind, attentive, and always smiling. The food she recommended was delicious, and I truly appreciate her lovely attitude and high level of service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again.

Stepping into the Arabian Tea House feels like discovering a quiet secret in the middle of Dubai. The charming white-and-blue decor and rattan chairs create a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, a welcome break from the city's buzz. The food is consistently excellent. The mixed grill is perfectly spiced and tender, and the hummus is incredibly smooth. For a lighter option, their manakeesh is fantastic. Of course, you must try the karak chai; it's rich, fragrant, and the ideal companion for the date pudding. Service is always attentive and friendly, making you feel genuinely welcome. It's the perfect spot for a long, relaxed breakfast or a leisurely lunch. A truly lovely and authentic experience.

The place is very historical with like pictures hung up on the walls. Also, not to mention there are cute little birds in the facility. Also to prevent the heat from entering, you know, to eat, they have installed fans and intelligence stuff. The service is very quick and clean. The staff is very nice and friendly. And the food is very good quality and has good portion amounts. Outside has a little bit of shading and there are trees and there are trees out in the outside area. Aisha was the one who attended us and she was delightful, very friendly and patient us (sorry Aisha) :)

I had an amazing breakfast at Arabian Tea House. Honestly, it completely made my day. They started us off with Arabic coffee and a date served with their special sauce, and it was incredible. We ordered the big breakfast tray (scrambled eggs, halloumi, olives, labneh, beetroot jam, tomato-cheese salad, zaatar, and more). It came with fresh, warm bread, and they brought more every time we asked. We sat outside, and with the beautiful winter weather in Dubai, the whole atmosphere felt perfect. Calm, cozy, and full of old-Dubai charm. I genuinely fell in love with this place. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, delicious breakfast spot.

November 2025 5* Visited with colleagues for dinner on Sunday evening. Surprisingly the place was quite free indoor. However, it was full outdoor. So do make reservations if you are looking place outside. The place is nice and ambiance is good. Staff is very helpful. The food quality is great if you are looking traditional Arabian food. Sadly no many choice for vegetarian but still there were good options: Here is my food list: - Hummus and bread - Salad - Veg curry - Haloomi cheese The place is accessible and located inside the museum.
