Last night I had a lovely reunion with my old colleagues at Arabian Tea House. One of them just flew in from the Philippines (our home country!) and it was also his first time in Dubai, so we thought it would be the perfect spot to catch up with each other. We were four in total, and funnily enough, it was also everyone’s 1st time to dine here.
The ambiance is charming, like a mix of Santorini’s breezy vibe with Arabian touches. I loved the colors, textures, and that natural, cozy feel.
For the food, we went with Emirati and Arabian dishes. We shared Machboo Laham, recommended by our host Marga, and it was deliciously tender and just the right portion for the group. We also had chicken marinated in dried lemon, which had great flavor though it came out a bit dry for my taste. The mixed sambosa was a hit, especially paired with their green chutney (a perfect match!). One of my friends tried their ice cream and enjoyed it, while I went for iced karak tea, which I loved because it wasn’t too sweet.
Marga was a wonderful host.. she made us feel welcome right away. They even surprised us with free heart-shaped bread (such a sweet gesture!) and welcome treats: iced hibiscus tea, which my friends found refreshing, plus laqaimat that were tasty and fun to share.
Overall, it was a delightful evening. Big kudos to Marga!! She really deserves a raise! I’d love to come back again, this time with my hubby and more friends.
