Perfect Hostel! The service team is wonderful - they really care about you, know which tours you have booked and ask how your day was. Better than in some hotels! Our room was with AC and private bathroom. Super clean! We can highly recommend all tours! We did the day walking tour in the Jaguar trail, the night walking tour in the public area and the canoe tour. The guide has known everything and he found many animals other guides didn‘t find. The price for this package for 2 nights is unbelievable (~150€ per person)! Breakfast is also included and freshly cooked. You can choose from the menue (rice and beans, toast with jam, pancakes, fresh fruits, juice and fresh brewed coffee). The outdoor area has a fully-equiped kitchen with a big fridge and nice places to hang out. Super close to the main street in the village and also to the beach.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Close to the beach access and close walk to the river. The lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. We met the owner who was a very lovely man! He shared a lot of information with us about Panama and made sure we had an incredible day. He ended up being our shuttle driver to La Fortuna and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Costa Rica. Made some fun stops and we learnt a lot. We booked our tours through the hostel and our guide was great. He has a lot of knowledge to share and pointed out lots of animals to us. The 5 bedroom dorm was comfortable with 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was good and lots of areas in the hostel to relax. We saw toucans while relaxing in the hammock.

This is a very friendly place. Room was comfortable and we liked that all the mosquito nets were in tact. Shower was big and so was the shared kitchen which had all one needs. ||I can also highly recommend the 3 tours they offer (canoe morning tour, day walk and night walk) you get a discount on all 3 and we saw very different things and learnt about plants and animals.||My only slight disappointment was that we said no to doing the room up the first day but then the toilet bin wasn’t emptied the whole 4 days and despite hanging the “please make up the room” sign outside nobody did. I’m sure had I asked they would have made up our room up in an instance but as we moved on the next day we left it. ||We both really enjoyed our stay here so I would deffo recommend this place as a base as it’s local to everything and had a great price.||We also loved the fact that the spider monkeys came swinging right into the garden!!

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The turtle tour with Israel was a trip highlight. The garden is lovely and great for wildlife watching, and the breakfast is a perfect start to the day.

The hostel was clean and very close to town which we loved. The service was great and booking tours was a breeze. The kitchen and rooms were clean and definitely a good value. There’s hammocks and a lovely garden making it feel like your at a secluded hostel even though your very close to town and the beach. Since this hostel is close to town we did have some loud music at night from the locals but was off by 10pm. ||Beware of people trying to sell you hotel rooms in La Pavona.

A very nice hostel. Comfortable rooms, very nice common place. Excellent communication prior and after check in. Haysha waited for us at the embankment , took us to the hostel, gave us all the needed info and helped with the trips. Manuel and Andrei excellent guides.

Clean, friendly hostel, excellent breakfast (recommend El Tico option!). Knowledgeable guides on turtle walk and canoe trip.

Good price- $25 per night for a spacious private room with an ensuite bathroom. No A/C, but there is a fan and screens on all of the windows and door (fantastic!). Great location to walk to everything and an employee will meet you when you arrive at the dock. There is a large blue tank of potable water just outside the entrance to the hostel. The young woman at the reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and she spoke both Spanish and English, which was helpful. She was able to arrange a tour for me the day of. Relaxing in the hammock with the ocean breeze was perfection. Breakfast is $10. Only wish is that it was a bit cleaner. The grout was dirty in the bathroom and there were a couple marks on my pillowcase, but nothing too concerning.
