The hostel was clean and very close to town which we loved. The service was great and booking tours was a breeze. The kitchen and rooms were clean and definitely a good value. There’s hammocks and a lovely garden making it feel like your at a secluded hostel even though your very close to town and the beach. Since this hostel is close to town we did have some loud music at night from the locals but was off by 10pm. ||Beware of people trying to sell you hotel rooms in La Pavona.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Very clean, spacious room, warm welcome! The common areas are nice and allow you to relax on Tortuguero! We recommend

I had a amazing stay at Aracari garden. The staffs were super friendly . Yariczia was very helpful she help me organized my tours. Our tour guide Andre was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. Danilson one of the staff found a basilisk, green iguana and a sloth up in the tree just across my room. The room attendants make sure the rooms are all clean everyday with fresh bed linens and towels. The guest were all friendly. This was my first time traveling alone and they all made my trip very memorable. The experience I had was something I would cherish. Kudos to all of you guys. Thank you, will definitely come back Thanks Ric

We loved our stay here! We have a family of 5 and rented the air conditioned apartment which was huge and two bedrooms. Unfortunately one room was out of order so two of us had a separate room. At night the air stopped working in the apartment so we had to switch rooms. The employee was soo helpful and nice. It was only a one night stay to sleep so it wasn’t a big deal and they gave us an adorable air conditioned casita. The location is great right by the beach. The common area is great with beds and couches and hammocks. You are also in a family neighbor and it’s cool to be amongst those who Live on the island. Kids playing and families doing their thing. We really loved it there!

Good price- $25 per night for a spacious private room with an ensuite bathroom. No A/C, but there is a fan and screens on all of the windows and door (fantastic!). Great location to walk to everything and an employee will meet you when you arrive at the dock. There is a large blue tank of potable water just outside the entrance to the hostel. The young woman at the reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and she spoke both Spanish and English, which was helpful. She was able to arrange a tour for me the day of. Relaxing in the hammock with the ocean breeze was perfection. Breakfast is $10. Only wish is that it was a bit cleaner. The grout was dirty in the bathroom and there were a couple marks on my pillowcase, but nothing too concerning.

We were picked up by Alejandro, from our hotel in San Jose and transported to the Aracari Garden Hostel, a place owned and developed by him and his German wife, Marina. This is a wonderful place, right in the centre of Tortuguero, with comfortable rooms, great beds, perfect breakfasts and beautiful staff. On route, we stopped to watch sloths, visit a local fruit and veg shop and meet Marina. The hospitality shown to us by this delightful couple, ongoing after our stay with them, was incredible and a perfect introduction to our holiday. Over the next 3 days we saw lots of amazing wildlife in the National Park, as well as all around the hostel and the town and booked 4 great tours through the hostel’s sister travel company. I think that 3 days is about the right length for a stay at Tortuguero and we were never disappointed by the abundance of wildlife around us, at all times. All too soon it was time to leave and Alejandro was waiting, as we disembarked from the return boat journey, to transport us to La Fortuna. We found everything about this hostel suited our needs perfectly and have no hesitation in recommending it. We'd certainly stay there again, if we return to this beautiful country.

we stayed for 2 nights at this rather basic place. The location is good as it is in a more quiet part of this super touristic and chaotic village. Rooms are super small but ok which is true for the bathroom as well. There is a public kitchen area and a small bar available as well. Next time I probably would prefer a place outside of the village, which is more relaxed and less crowded

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms (with fans not a/c), kitchen and nice garden space. There was hot water but it was a little bit sporadic. It's not by the waterfront but has a good central location. Staff can organise tours but it's cheaper to shop around a bit.
